The main reason I picked Gastrodon was that its Sticky Hold prevents it from being affected by the item-removal of Knock Off. Ice Beam is really the only move that matters, and admittedly the nature and EVs are sorta random. But Gastrodon can easily switch in to any of that Gliscor's attacks and even Recover off the damage if it likes.
