So I took the team from The Goomy and wanted to add a little of my own flair to the team and try it out. I lost my replay of losing on a damage roll to an impish torterra, but other than that I have won my other 2 games despite some poor plays.
Kabutops @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
The first member of my team is Kabutops. Kabutops is nice to hit some of the pokes that resist my main sweepers but is mostly on the team to control hazards. He is a fast rapid spinner that can keep hazards off my side of the field while keeping the hazards I stack on the opponents side of the field.
Sawk (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
Fighting spam is incredible powerful in Nu if you havent noticed lol. Choice scarfed sawk will outspeed almost the entire tier, and can hit things pretty hard with a stab close combat. Knock off is on to take out the resistances and immunities like psychic and ghost (and its also the best move in 6th gen lol). Stone edge and earthquake gives great coverage to round out this strong hitter.
Primeape @ Choice Band
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Assurance
Banded primeape so you can hit stuff harder than normal. Primeape is fast enough to do work so adding a scarf means his only job is to u-turn which makes him a waste. Banded stab close combat can take massive chunks out of the opponents and with entry hazards in play, it might end up cleaning out the game. Also, if you somehow get a defiant boost with a defogger, just clean up the game with close combat.
Crustle @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Rock Blast
- X-Scissor
Best hazard setter in the tier right now, my opinion but that seems to be the case. His main job is to get up rocks and spikes. He isnt meant to be bulky so no Evs in Hp, but maxing out speed with jolly nature and 252 Evs to try and get an extra layer of spikes is very important. This will break sashes and sturdy, and will give your sweepers a better chance to OHKO anything.
Typhlosion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Grass]
For all those physical walls out there, meet choice specs, full hp, 252 Sp Atk, Stab eruption. With entry hazards up, this bad boy will take down just about anything that crosses its path. Hp grass is there to nail water types and other resistances to fire. Flamethrower is there so that you can take advantage of blaze and still crush opponents. I picked flamethrower over fire blast so that you have the 100% accuracy. Extrasensory will hardly ever be used by its still a decent coverage move.
Klinklang @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Shift Gear
- Gear Grind
- Frustration
- Volt Switch
Something for slurpuff to enjoy. If you can get a shift gear up, this guy can put in some work for you. Frustration over return so no one can copy your stat boosts and gear grind for stab and breaking sturdy/sash. Volt switch to gain momentum on incoming switches that aren't ground type.
Here are a few replays of the team in action. Would love to hear what can be improved by this team.
