With mega gyarados getting crunch in ORAS and a few of my other liked pokemon becoming decent checks/counters to new threats, i figured this would be a good time to try them out.
Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
The mega of the team. It was the base of this team. Mega Gyarados can play mindgames with opponents with its typing with it changing types and forcing your opponent to predict or not whether im going to mega that turn, next turn, or at all.
Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 212 HP / 44 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Ice Punch
Physical tank. Rhypherior can check/counter quite a bit in the new ORAS meta, including mega salamence. Also as a rock setter, it can destroy mega salamence and alot of other pokemon that it resists, which without this team is very weak to. heres some calcs just in case:
+1 252+ Atk Aerilate Salamence Return vs. 212 HP / 252 Def Rhyperior: 127-150 (29.9 - 35.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
44+ Atk Rhyperior Ice Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Salamence: 264-312 (79.5 - 93.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Taunt
Used mainly as a crippler, Prankster t-wave and taunt can be used to severely cripple sweepers and use volt switch to pivot out in case danger is ahead. Hidden power Ice for the ground types that would come i on a t-wave or a volt switch expecting a free switch, and taunt to stop anybody setting up. Generally my anti-lead pokemon.
Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SDef / 24 Spd
Calm Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
Looking at the team its been noted that this team was very mega sceptile weak, and togekiss was suggested. It worked better than i expected. 232 evs in hp for a leftovers number, max out SpDef to take most special hits being boosted by its calm nature. Roost for recovery, defog to clear hazards because this team is very weak to them, air slash for STAB and thunder wave for some crippling power as well.
Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Slack Off
- Fire Blast
- Scald
- Ice Beam
Slowbro s my go to physical wall that resists and can tank most physical hits thrown at it. Its water/psychic typing offers plenty of coverage with the rest of the team. Slack off for recovery, Scald for STAB and burns to take physical hits easier. Fire Blast for steel types and anything that resists scald. Ice beam is on here because of the constant landos, lati twins, and other dragons running around, ce beam allows slowbro to touch them and have more coverage.
Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Muddy Water
Goodra is my special tank and offers most of the important coverage needed on this team along with taking the water hits rhyperior cant. Sap sipper is to counter ferrothorn and breloom, so i will most of the time have a switch in for the leech seeds, spores, etc. Draco for a very hard hitting STAB move, Fire blast to deal with the steel types draco dosent, Sludge bomb for the azumarills, clefables, and any other predicted switches. Lastly muddy water because it 2hkos heatran just like modest eq but also gives me coverage against pokemon like landorus.
Thank you for looking at my first RMT. Any suggestions will be greatly connsidered

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
