What are the defense tiers, attack tiers? I really need to know this stuff, I want to be as good as any of you Smogonites but I don't know half the stuff you people talk about. =/

@Justice_X: Attack and Defense tiers were invented by someone named Dragontamer. It's useful, but certainly not necessary to know.

@Pwongage: Shed Shell allows a Pokemon to switch out regardless of anything, such as Arena Trap or Mean Look.

Usually, Modest is better, but Rash can be used if you're running the mixed Choice Scarf set. Otherwise, go with Modest or Timid.

Remember Marowak from G/S/C? If a max-Atk Marowak holding a Thick Club used Swords Dance, its Atk would ROLL OVER past 999 to a measly 33, or something like that.

Would that happen in D/P? (Something tells me that looking at the standard BellyZard would give you the answer, but I haven't seen anything concrete on the matter.)

All stats besides HP
((((((base stat * 2) + 5) + IVs) + EVs/4) + floor) * nature bonus) + floor

base stat = pokemon's base stat
nature bonus = 0.9 , 1 , 1.1
floor = remove remainder/decimal ie. round down

All modifiers would be calculated after the end result. More information on the damage modifiers can be found here.

HP
(((((base stat * 2) + 10) + IVs) + EVs) + level

Let's do the calcs from the Bold.

Base Stat = 120
120*2 = 240
240+5 = 245
245+31 (IVs) = 276
276+252(EVs) = 528
528/4 = 132

Now I don't know what I do..

I round down 132 to to what significance?

Let's say it is to a significance of 0 (132).

Would I just do 132 + 132 and carry on from there?

Attack-rollover hasn't existed since Advance.

If I have a synchronizer in my team, will Regigigas be affected?

Yes, as long as it's the front Pokemon.

Whats Ivs should I aim for, SRing for a Calm, bold, sassy, or relaxed regice?

Go for HP and Defense as high as possible.

The best spot is the water north of Sunyshore City; you can find only Tentacool (1 EV), Mantyke (1 EV), and Tentacruel (2 EVs). Basically, any ocean area is decent, but that spot is the best.

Slaking

because in competative you choice it

since he hits and runs alot

while Regigigas has to stay in a while before doing any damage

so Slaking>Regigigas

Word.

Alternatively, someone posted this and it has worked like a charm for me.

Stat Calc (round down)
((2*Base Stat + EVs/4 + IVs) * Lvl/100 + 5) * nature

So yours would be at best (252 EV, 31 IV, Beneficial nature)

((2*120 + 252/4 + 31) * 100/100 + 5) * 1.1
= (2*120 + 63 + 31 + 5) * 1.1
= 372.9
(round down to nearest decimal)
= 372

Items or Stat boosting moves go after everything

'rounded down decimal' * Item/Move (rounded down again)

With Move being:
+1 = 1.5 (ie: Growth, Meditate, Dragon Dance for both Attack and Speed, etc)
+2 = 2.0 (ie: Rock Polish, Swords Dance, Agility, Tail Glow, etc)
+3 = 2.5
+4 = 3.0
+5 = 3.5
+6 = 4.0

And Item Being:
Choice whatever = 1.5
Life Orb = 1.3
Wiseglasses/Muscle Band = 1.2
Plates/Type Stuff = 1.1

Type stuff being Magnet, Hard Stone, Metal Coat, etc.

so let's say you equip a Choice Scarf on that 120 Base Speed 252, 31, + nature Pokémon from earlier on:

372 * 1.5 = 558

And that's about it

Read what I wrote, bitch!

Anyway, anyone know anything about MKPP V5.0 and what applications it can already run?
