Sorry, I just thought it might have been like I needed to say something related to the story, so I can just put random stuff in the blank?
 
I have read in the official d/p pokedex guide by nintendo that Grasswhistle puts a pokemon to sleep for 5 turns. In the research thread, it doesn't mention how long whistle puts them to sleep for. Does the guide lie? Has this ever been tested?

Sleep lasts from 1-5 turns if the sleep inducer is faster, and 2-5 if the sleep inducer is slower (If faster, the first turn asleep is the same turn they fell asleep, if slower, it would be the next turn. About the guides, they are never completely accurate due to typos and (possibly) misinformation, and they never go to the level of depth that you'll see on this site.

They come from either Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, the two GameCube games.

I'd say it would depend on your team and your own personal preferences. Earthquake is an amazing move, but might be unnecessary if 3 other pokemon on your team already have it. I personally like priority moves on slow pokemon, because I'm paranoid that a sub-salac BellyZard or EndRev Lucario might sweep my team suddenly. So, it's up to you.
 
Ok, I'll just keep 2 versions of it...

BTW, its for use on 3 vs 3 were all of my other pokemon are fighting type too (don't ask).

Shuckle indeed has the highest defenses in the game at 230 base each, but that is dampened by its pathetic 20 base HP (only Diglett and Shedinja have lower HP). Also, its attacking power is minimal, making it prime setup fodder for Pokemon with Substitute or Taunt like Raikou or Gyarados; some Pokemon don't mind losing their item to Knock Off too much.

Alternatively, a Gallade with Mean Look, Hypnosis, False Swipe, filler.

I actually have a good few male Kirlia's with 31 Attack and Speed w/ Mean Look and Hypnosis for sale.

Hi

I was wondering if Porygon-Z without CS is still a good option on a team. Is it still a decent Nasty Plotter or is it too slow?

Why not give it Agility?

I don't see why Smogon loves the Adaptability/Nasty Plot Porygon-Z so much, I actually prefer the Download/Agility one.
 
you would probably want the move tri attack instead of hidden power fighting. and i think the agility set is better since it has a base speed of 90 which alot actually do outspeed it, and with choice scarf around theres alot that can outspeed it.

Whats the rest of your team?

In terms of defense, Slowking beats starmie in both Sp. Def and Def and also has slack-off. Starmie can spin and absorb status attacks. Blissey can absorb status, soft-boil, and has even more Sp. Def than Slowking.

Does anyone know if Pain Split hits through protect? In ShoddyBattle, Pain Split hits through protect but not substitute, and I think this is a bug...
