A friend of mine is raising a Crobat but has come across a weird problem. He says he's trying to max speed but has only faced 47 Golbats and 6 Zubats (and nothing else) meaning Speed would have receievd 100 EV's. He then tried to give the Golbat the standard 10 Carbos for another 100 EV's but it wouldn't take them. Shouldn't it accept the Carbos since only 100 speed EV's have been allocated?

Your friend should have given it the Carbos first. Vitamins don't work when your Pokemon has 100 (+) Ev's in it's respective stat.

If I breed a female pokemon with an everstone with a Ditto, will the everstone trick work?
This is taken out of X-act's breeding guide

To be perfectly clear, these are the four different ways to transfer a nature 50% of the time to the baby:

1. A Male Pokémon breeding with a Female Pokémon holding an Everstone results in the baby having a 50% chance of having the same nature as the Female Pokémon.
2. A Male Pokémon breeding with a Ditto holding an Everstone results in the baby having a 50% chance of having the same nature as Ditto.
3. A Female Pokémon breeding with a Ditto holding an Everstone results in the baby having a 50% chance of having the same nature as Ditto. (Even if both the female Pokémon and Ditto hold Everstone, it will still be a 50% chance of the nature being transferred, and it will always be the Ditto nature that is transferred to the baby.)
4. A Genderless Pokémon breeding with a Ditto holding an Everstone results in the baby having a 50% chance of having the same nature as Ditto.

Does the 5 star black trainer card really exist? I've never seen a picture of it, and I'm sure i've done all the requirements in order to get it. Does anyone have one?

well the requirements are to beat the elite 4, get master rank in all contests, finish the pokedex, win 100 times in a row in battle tower, and play the capture the flag game underground if you did all that you should have it

I'm trying to come up with a Sandstorm team, but I was looking for some help filling the final spots.

Particularly a Spec Sweeper that resists Ground, Water, Ice, and Grass fairly well. (As many of them as possible). Note that I don't really have access to legendaries.

A quick rundown of the rest of the team so far:
Lead- Scizor (Not BP set)
Phys Sweeper - Ttar (DD)
Phys Wall/SR/Roar - Hippowdon
Special Wall/Toxic/Encore support - Shuckle

Right now I'm thinking Magnezone looks the best for resists/type coverage (Maybe Para support, too). That 4x Ground weak doesn't look pretty though. The other resists are good though. Empoleon and Lucario look viable as well. But, again Ground weaknesses. I think if I pick one of those then I'd need either Magnet Rise for Magnezone, or something to destroy/resist Ground pokes as my 6th slot.

Perhaps Gyarados as my last slot? Its resistances synergize very well with the rest of my team, if I pick Magnezone. Although I already have Ttar and Scizor (sort of) on the physical side. Also gives Taunt support.

If I go with Empoleon, then Gyara would be pointless somewhat. If I go with Lucario, I'm not sure what would be my final slot either.

On the other hand, there might be some odd Poke out there that will be awesome for my team.

I also hope I have good enough type coverage. =/

Sorry, this isn't simple at all XDDD. Any help would be great.

Edit: Holy crap, reply #1138. If you know what that means, you are cool :)

i use a sandstorm team on shoddy battle thats like this
Skarmory(stealth rocks,spikes ect
Registeel(special wall surprisingly good
t-tar(phys
Garchomp(choice band outrage
gliscor(bper
heatran(special sweper stops fire attacks
i hope this helps

Its at least Borderline this gen, it gets a 'guaranteed' stealth rock, has knock off, and gets a sandstorm boost.

But from a newbie perspective it looks really good, what gives it the massive disadvantage that it needs to be in BL?

Oh, and I am looking for a water type that can learn ice beam and is fairly high in defence but can still do some damage with surf. Any suggestions?

it has very low hp so it gets Koed easily, even if it has like infinite defenses and it doesn't have any time of offense expcept toxic

slowbro, milotic and suicune would fit.

Great, but I hate slowbro with a passion, I despise milotic and are Suicune able to be used in the battle tower?

Also how would a power trick shuckle work?

Thanks alot. I couldn't understand the problem but assumed this was the case. I've always given the vitamins first so didn't know what to say to him. Thanks again.

Okay, and can suicune be used in battle tower?

I just checked, apparently so.

Anyone know where I can get a good natured suicune?

The only places to get Suicune are FR/LG (bad IVs), Colosseum (too hard to reset for), and events (you might get lucky). The best place is in the trading boards.
