That's no longer true in Gen VI, because males can pass down HA when paired with a Ditto. The chance to pass down the HA is smaller though.

That's a really important calc right there, and for that alone I would keep going. I would just get a flawless egg SV hatched instead (or I have a flawless shiny jolly Beedrill in my thread)
edit: those calcs were done at level 50 coz I was thinking Battle Spot. If you're playing at level 100 it's even more important

Yup I did that kind of calcs shortly after posting that, which is the reason I'll keep going; and I like getting my own Shinies most of the time just for fun (unless I need it urgently), there's nothing that I love more than having my own Shinies with my own OT.

If you go hunting for a supersized Pumpkaboo, use a Pokémon with the ability Frisk as your lead, because all supersized Pumpkaboo hold a Miracle Seed.
Pumpkaboo (F) + male Pokémon = same size as mother
Pumpkaboo (M) + Ditto = ??? (not sure)
Child will always be the same size as the female in an M | F breeding pair, and the non-Ditto parent in a (M/F) | Ditto pair.
If you haven't encountered all of the different sizes, you can check your Pokédex for which sizes have been seen and determine from that. Otherwise it's a mix of eyeballing it and listening to the cries (only useful for Super-Size really).

Also, the Super Pumpkaboo cry is significantly lower than the other forms. I'm actually trying to catch one now, and I've just got a Pumpkaboo with Frisk/Trick to check for the Miracle Seed. Also, Super Pumpkaboo floats completely above the grass. (IIRC Large Pumpkaboo dips above and below as it floats)
