You don't really need HP Fire on Diancie beacuse of Earth Power in ORAS, just saying because that makes a good Diancie easier to find :)
I'm going on a hiking trip for the next few days, with a lot of car travel in between hikes. Great time to breed!
I got a lot of legends I'm still looking for. Willing to trade multiple Hidden Power pokes for any of the following:

I just got this one:
Suicune - Modest nature
28-29/18-19/31/31/31/31
My synchroniser is bold, but when it first failed on a good spread the nature was modest :) I plan on using this for VGC and I am wondering if Modest is any kind of viable, because although it lacks some bulk, it has more offense, which makes it need less EV's in SPatk, and those EV's could then be used in Def. Also wondering if it has any trade value, or if the not perfect Hp kills it's trade value. Sorry for asking so many quetions about it, I just want to know for sure before I decide, so keep or toss?
Edit: Just figured out, the HP is sadly 28, but does it still have any trade value?
I have a Sassy 31/31/31/30/31/4 Diancie, but I won't be able to trade till tonight sometime.
Edit: forgot to mention that I didn't have access to Kiloude at the time of SRing it, so I rare candied it to Lv 53, if that matters.
Okay, I'm going to SR Darkrai pretty soon and I just want to confirm a few things:
1) Best nature (and the only one worth getting) is Timid, right?
2) This is what I need to see for all 6IVs @ 31:
Darkrai (Lv. 50 - 0 EVs)
HP (=) 145
Atk ( - ) 99
Def (=) 110
SpAtk (=) 155
SpDef (=) 110
Spd (+) 159
3) What characteristic should it have if everything is right?
Thanks! :)
1) Timid > everything
2) the Atk IV is close to irrelevant
3) Takes plenty of siestas, Capable of taking hits, Mischievous, Somewhat vain, Alert to sounds <= one of these
3) Thanks! Out of curiosity, what do they mean/represent? Like, why those specifically? /noob (and curious haha)
Out of curiosity, what did Diancie need HP Fire for? And how does Earth Power replace it (considering they are different types). Thanks! :)

Also, if I was to SR Diancie what would be the best spread/nature to go for? O.o
Additonal question: I still have a few events to pick up from the delivery person, how do I make Darkrai the one I pick up?
Fairy is neutral to Fire.Ah, Earth Power works better on Mega Mawhile, as its part fairy typing makes HP Fire neutral.
That is not true.Fairy is weak to Fire, so Mawile actually has a 4x weakness here. T.T
Yeah, I caught that. I got confused on Fairy type moves not being effective against Fire. I corrected it. Should be neutral to Fire attacks right? That is not true.
Fairy is neutral to Fire.
That is not true.
Fairy-type attacks deal resisted damage on Fire-types
Fire-type attacks deal neutral damage on Fairy-types
Takes plenty of siestas = 31 HP
Capable of taking hits = 31 Defense
Mischievous = 31 Special Attack
Somewhat vain = 31 Special Defense
Alert to sounds = 31 Speed
(Likes to thrash about = 31 Attack)
In a nutshell... HP Fire is used for coverage for steel, grass, and other types that wall it. Especially Ferrothorn and Scizor etc..
But Earth Power comes in handy because it takes care of Heatran (that would gobble up HP Fire) and Aegislash (in that Base power for EP is greater than that of HP so you have higher chances of snagging KOs without activating Weakness Policy, but that's all quite circumstantial). Also Earth Power takes care of rock types that resist diamond storm and is just as effective of Bisharp.
The problem is that it's not reliable against Ferrothorn who threatens with Gyro Ball, but you have team-mates for that, such as Magnet Pull Magnezone. Also it's not super effective on scizor but honestly, Bullet Punch is a OHKO so it doesn't really matter because you wouldn't want Diancie taking that.
Ah, Earth Power works better on Mega Mawhile, as its part fairy typing makes HP Fire neutral.
Overall in both singles and VGC Earth Power does pretty much everything HP Fire does and more :) (I've probably left stuff out but this is the basic gist of it)
As for spread/nature... well diancie fits many roles in that its just as effective in physical or special attacks. However I must recommend either Hasty or Naive nature because it doesn't remove any offensive potential. Mega-Diancie also gets a huge speed boost so thats all fun and games with a speed boosting nature. The standard set runs Diamond Storm (physical) and Moon Blast (speacial) which are reliable STABs so thats why you want Hasty/Naive.
Nonetheless... I guess it's ok to SR for Adamant, Modest, Jolly or Timid in that it may be easier than getting 6IVs of 30+
Yea I most likely left stuff out but this is the basics of what you need to know.
On the 'Mystery Gift' option in the initial menu screen, you can access the 'card album' or whatever it's called, and you can swap around the order of the cards by selecting them. This way, the woman at the poke centre will give you the events in the order you've put the cards in
Awesome, thanks for the info!
Oh, wow. Thank you for the detailed answer! That will help tremendously when I get around to SRing Diancie. :P
>_< I'm an idiot, that is so obvious. lol :D

Regarding the Diancie: does it come with any guaranteed IVs? Like, I know Darkrai has 3 guaranteed @ 31.
Thanks :P
Diancie should have 3 flawless IVs. However, there have been people who got bugged codes whose Diancie do not have any flawless IVs. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix this if you get unlucky.Awesome, thanks for the info!

Bump: I still want to know if it has any trade value with just 28 IV's in HP
Okay, it's a keep. It took me around 350 attempts, so I' glad I finally got a good one :)I would keep.
I have Darkrai and Meloetta, and can SR Moltres as wellI'm going on a hiking trip for the next few days, with a lot of car travel in between hikes. Great time to breed!
