Deathzilla (Charizard-Mega-X) (M) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
Charizard is the main boss of the team, he is built bulky style, with his speed build allowing him to outspeed Scarf Lando. He is pretty straight forward as my physical sweeper, fire typing and dragon typing give him unique weaknesses, and he has great potential still. I think he dropped to A rank or something, but whatever, he is still strong.

Frog Shuriken (Starmie) @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Psyshock
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
Starmie complements Charizard by acting as my special sweeper. It also helps out by being a Rapid Spinner. It's speed is fantastic, and I often can force switches using this thing. This is my Greninja replacement, and I really like it. Psyshock is there because it allows mixed coverage, even though Psychic has higher BP.

Armor (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
I built my Ferrothorn specifically to tank physically. Usually I lead with this for rocks. Gyro Ball is there for steel coverage, but I don't really rely on this guy for offense ever. It's not meant to be a wall, it's meant to be disruptive which is why I opt for Rocky Helmet over leftovers.

Gueren (Excadrill) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
I needed a Scarfer, and I needed someone with earthly coverage. Naturally my choices were between this and Lando, I choose this because it has steel coverage which I personally find to be better than U-Turn because with the scarf he is an out to Diancie, and serves as a secondary hazard remover for Charizard. Jolly doesn't really give any significant advantages for any notable matchups, so I stuck with adamant.

washaunter (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 SpA / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunder Wave
I wanted another thank and I had no status dealer or electricity user. This guy does both. I like Thunder Wave 1,000,000 times more than Pain Split, and I love having both status moves on this guy to ruin people's days. A lot of people have forfeited to my Rotom.

Magic @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 172 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Soft-Boiled
- Calm Mind
Needed a special tank, chose Clefable. In the past I was quite partial to Gardevoir, but its typing ended up redundant with Starmie and I didn't want too much more redundancy. Still wanted fighting coverage, and I have it, though it kinda sucks. I am the least attached to this one, but it does do well as it always has.

Love your team, give it 5 stars. I don't think you need 2 rapid spinners though. I just feel like you would get more use out of another attack. If you wanted to turn your team into more of a stall team, you could easily replace clef with chancy. No need but just food for thought.

Yeah, I was going to run a different move on Starmie, but anything I could choose would either (a) be redundant with its already existing coverage or (b) be a Hidden Power that took away from my speed.

I guess I could run HP Dark for hilarity. It only hits like 2 things in the meta and nothing x4SE which is the whole reason to run HP in the first place.

I guess on Excadril I could attempt to find a different move, or replace him with someone else. Lando doesn't get steel moves, and I really like Mold Breaker scarf.

He gets X-Scissor, Poison Jab, Shadow Claw, Aerial Ace, and Brick Break for coverage moves.

Brick Break is the most attractive because Fighting is the best coverage next to fire. Poison Jab is the worst because it only hits fairies which it already has coverage for since most grass types are also poison. X-scissor gives it different coverage that might work on something like a Slowbro.

252+ Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill X-Scissor vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Slowbro: 94-112 (23.8 - 28.4%) -- 95.2% chance to 4HKO

nope.

Shadow Claw works on psychics lol, but so does X scissor for the same BP so nope.

Aerial Ace hits grass types better than X scissor because of poison redundancy (except for breloom who is x4ed by Ace anynway).
It also hits fighting types pretty good, though only Conk comes to mind as a matchup. Both Conk and Brel have Mach Punch which invalidates that mind set.

Brick Break can't even OHKO Tyrannitar who is x4ed by it. which makes it also a garbage move.

Posion Jab can't even OHKO azumarril.

So literally his best use of that move slot is either scarfed Stealth Rock, or more Rapid Spinning.

I guess I could look at maybe putting Thunderbolt/Grass Knot on Starmie for Slowbro, or even giving it reflect type or recover to really mess with people. Seems suboptimal though.

Don't underestimate bolt beam coverage, a little redundancy is nice for end game. Plus rotom has to swap just to use electric, which is annoying.
