ORAS OU My attempt at stall

Hi I've made this new stall team and so far it has performed not bad but there is room for improvement.

Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite

Trait: Chlorophyll

EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spd

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Leech Seed

- Sludge Bomb

- Giga Drain

- Synthesis

Venusaur, my mega of choice for this team, its typing provides really good defensive coverage plus access to thick fat lets it endure fire and ice type moves as well. Well the set is standard defensive Venusaur set. Leech seed to sap health and act as a status move provide a semi recovery like leftovers for itself and others. Giga drain and Sludge bomb are standard stab moves that are necessary and Synthesis to heal itself. At first I considered a mega Sableye but Venusaur brought protection from more offensive mons.

Rotom-W @ Leftovers

Trait: Levitate

EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 212 SDef

Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Will-O-Wisp

- Volt Switch

- Pain Split

- Hydro Pump

Rotom-w, a very useful and popular pokemon it has good synergy with Venusaur. I'm using a specially defensive set to better handle special Landorus. But i also gave it 44 def instead of speed for extra bulk. So far the slight loss of speed hasn't bothered me too much. The moves are otherwise standard Hydro miss pump to hit hard and get KOs, will-o-wisp to cripple and pain split to get health back.

Skarmory (M) @ Rocky Helmet

Trait: Sturdy

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)

- Defog

- Roost

- Toxic

- Brave Bird

Skarmory is my defoger and an all around good wall. Roost is to heal and due to its low speed it doesn't get eqd when it lands on the ground. Toxic might be unusual but it helps punish a lot of pokemon that it otherwise can't damage. Bravve bird is the standard StAB of choice and can kill if it gets a favourable match up.

Quagsire (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Unaware

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

- Scald

- Earthquake

- Toxic

- Recover

Now comes my unaware wall core with Quagsire that stops all Dancers from clean sweeping me. Scald is for the burn chance and not power. Toxic is for annoy, it is used mostly when i predict a switch. Recover is to get my HP back. The set is standard and self explanatory to be honest, not much to say.

Clefable (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Unaware

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef

Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Moonblast

- Moonlight

- Thunder Wave

- Heal Bell

This is the second Unaware wall to stop special set up sweepers. Moonblast is a powerful stap that does surprisingly high damage even without evs. Moonlight is for recovery, that is necessary for stall. Heal Bell is to make it a cleric and to prevent others from bringing my team down with status. I chose thunderwave to cripple stuff and slow them down since my team is slow this proves to be very useful but I am considering Calm Mind instead.

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite

Trait: Natural Cure

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Seismic Toss

- Soft-Boiled

- Stealth Rock

- Toxic

Lastly, Chansey the God wall. I made the evs such that it can handle psyshock better. It walls Mega Alakazam and Mega Gardevoir, that is why I put toxic on, it to bring them down. It is my Stealth rock setter and a reliable one at that. Softboiled to heal itself and well the rest you know.

Sorry I got no pictures uploading has become very slow because of a network problem :(

Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite

EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 212 SDef

- Hydro Pump

Skarmory (M) @ Rocky Helmet

Trait: Sturdy

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)

- Defog

- Roost

- Toxic

- Brave Bird

Quagsire (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Unaware

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

- Scald

- Earthquake

- Toxic

- Recover

Clefable (M) @ Leftovers

- Moonlight

- Thunder Wave

Rate: You flat out lose to Gengar, which you should try to avoid. Give Clefable the move Stealth Rock, and give Heal Bell to Chansey. get rid of Quagsire and use Skarmory to deal with set-up sweepers with whirlwind. I feel like you need rapid spin somewhere so I'd try bulky Starmie.

I know that sounded confusing so here:
Venusaur-Mega (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Synthesis

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Skarmory (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 236 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Spikes

Clefable (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Moonlight
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Serious Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Reflect Type

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell

You're right about gengar but is starmie the best solution to gengar. Plus quagsire is needed to wall zard x, bisharp, scizor etc skarmory will get worn down how about landorus or gliscor instead? Having 3 water types might make me too weak to grass incase venusaur is gone so I think Starmie might not be most useful.

I will try them out regardless after all things are different in practice then on paper. Thx for the rate.

Starmie can if at max speed and running psyshock kill gengar. if you do this run this move it should be over reflect type. and make the EVs more offensive. Also to wall Charizard, you really can't. the best thing to attempt to handle this is Mixed-Hippowdon. Personally I'd replace Rotom-W for Hippowdon or AV-Raikou. If you use Hippowdon, use Wish and Protect on Clefable instead of Moonlight and SR

Hippowdon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Slack Off

Hi Sablenite watched ur replays, really cool. I personally love hippo but I would miss quagsire though, I actually chose it only because of whats written below.
252+ Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Dragon Claw vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 153-180 (38.8 - 45.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
it could easily wall Zard x. Hippowdon can get 2HKOd by FlareBlitz even without dragon dance and not to mention I've encountered lots of zard x that runs Swords dance. If that happens I'll be clean swept.

Running Stealth rock on Clefable has been more useful but is there some other rapid spinner that I could consider, I mean Starmie is good for now.

The current team is

Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite
