XY OU My first team Pls Tips <3

Hi this is my first ever pokemon team I have made so pls any feed back and tips welcome. I find this team pretty effective (when i don't misplay) but so can see room to make it better and don't know how to.(Btw as i am a noob i used builds from smogon so any set / ev alterations would be sweet).
diancie-mega.gif

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 32 Atk / 224 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect
I started this team off with an offensive mega diancie. This has been a reliable pokemon for me with the ability to take out nasty dragon type threats and flying types (yes im talking about you talon flame ). I often start with this mon due to getting the mega so i can utilise magic bounce, it also stops enemy setters, have to watch out for threats such as landorus or other pokemon which can use earthquake, in which case i lead with protect and then swap out. This mon is one of my main offensive mons so is valubale to the team.
starmie.gif

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Psyshock
Wanted a good rapid spinner as I hate entry, I recently have switched this guy to an offensive spinner rather than a reflect type starmie, it now provides ways of dealing with a large range of mons due to its move pool aswell as allowing me to remove entry hazards which diancie didnt manage to bounce.
heatran.gif

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
Wanted a good bulky setter, this guy can tank most special hits and can block them fire moves normaly aimed at my ferrorthorn. Taunt allows him to mess up other setters, toxic to force switch outs and be a annoying / stall. This guy is often a go to vs special sweepers, aswell as being a good switch in for talon flame.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 208 Def / 48 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Thunder Wave

Bring the defense to the team we have ferrothorn. This guy is great for switcing into a physical hit then seeting up a leech to force switches. I take spikes to lay down some more entry threat and is easy to pull off one of two if my opp is paralysed and im regening with leech +left over. I run pwer whip just to add some offense to the set incase of taunt and it can hit surprisingly well, have been tempted to swithc this move for gyro ball tho.
tornadus-therian.gif

Wanted an offensive ish / bulkyish pivot to help switch to offensive and my bulky utlity.a This guy hasnt really been the focus of the team but can provide nice utility ish with knock off while also being a decent hitter with hurrricane and focus blast. And of coruse running u turn as he is a pivot. I often find my if my opp starts with landorus I use protect on diance then switch into this guy for the immune and then use u-turn. I have been tempted to switch this for other pivots maybe raikou but for now he has worked well.
hawlucha.gif

Hawlucha @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- High Jump Kick
- Acrobatics
Wanted a fast physical sweeper, this guy being fastest in tier made me fall in love with him ( not including pranksters). This guy has been essential to sweeping and is the other core offensive mon, as I needed a hard threat as my natural stalley/trolley instincts i felt have shined through this team. This guy is almost unstoppable when sub +swords +unburden. I have had feed back on this guy to maybe switch for a white herb skydrop set but wanted more opinions.

TY all criticism/tips is welcome and appreciated .

Updates to this build coming soon. ( need to change starmie sets, heatran less speed for special def, and changes to tornadus set all coming sooooooon, when i get round to it xD). Also when I stop being an idiot i will figure out how to put pics on this :P.

Ok, here's my suggestions...
-Starmie works well as a Sp.Att spinner, as moves like Psyshock or Thunderbolt, giving it more lethality.
-Have you tried Air Balloon on Heatran? It gives it protection from 4x supereffective Ground Moves, so long as it doesn't get hit prior to this.
-My personal favorite set to use with Ferrothorn is a Toxic/Protect/Leech Seed combo for stalling out enemies. However, your set works just as well.
-I just wanted to say I too admire Hawlucha, I used to run Power Herb Sky Attack on him in 1v1. It's interesting to see a sub dance set on him. I think this set can work wonders on a team.
Overall a great team. Keep up the good work!

Hi n_n Nice RMT :),Welcome to Smogon and OU :D.

Your team is solid ,but it looks pretty weak to Mega gross, Mega zard X, Mega alt and Mega lop and Mega Zard Y and mega gardevoir I guess(u can disagree if I am wrong :3).

U can probs check Zard Y and Mega gardevoir but the other weaknesses are very hard to check.

So I think Scizor > Ferrothorn it counters mega lop, mega alt and mega metagross :3

And try something like hippo or quagsire over heatran to counter zard X :D.

U got a set up sweeper so u can try something over Hawlucha to check zard Y and Gardevoir like heatran (its optional).

Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Roost

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Force
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Def / 104 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Whirlwind
- Slack Off
Sorry for short description, I am using phone :(

P.s. Good luck,Have fun n_n.

Hey ninjajake725 and welcome to the RMT section of Smogon! This isn't a bad RMT, but you should really put some images/GIFs of your team members in there because, well, who doesnt love pictures? It also helps raters when they can see everything nicely lined up like they are in actual battles; eye candy is the best candy. (Also, try to beef up your descriptions a little bit.)

On to your team!

diancie-mega.gif
starmie.gif

Your MDiancie and Starmie sets look pretty standard, so I don't have too much to say about them, although I would like to emphasize that having Protect as a go-to pre-mega move on Diancie can sometimes be taken advantage of, so make sure you're not letting anything switch in on a Protect that could threaten you and set up as you switch out. Also, run max Speed on Starmie, there's no reason not to since 16 SpD EVs won't really do much for you, and it's not worth losing any clutch speed ties.

heatran.gif

I realize that you took your Heatran set straight off Smogon, but it says under the set description that Heatran runs 68 Speed EVs to outspeed uninvested Suicune. I don't really see the point of staying in on Suicune in the first place, since CM and Scald could do some serious damage to you. If you're concerned about ouspeeding Megasaur (which actually kind of threatens your team) you can run 28 Speed EVs on your Heatran and invest the remainders into SpD.

ferrothorn.gif

As for your Ferrothorn, don't run Gyro Ball over Power Whip, since TWave takes away a lot of Gyro Ball's power. Also, I would at least consider running Stealth Rock over Spikes. Although your team doesnt look like it's bird-weak, it would benefit from the SR support by breaking potential sashes/sturdies on levitating and flying pokemon like Gengar and Skarmory. Gengar can do a real number to your team, so OHKOing it as fast as you can without needing to worry about a sash is pretty nice. Otherwise, your Ferrothorn provides your team some nice physically defensive support, so it looks good.

tornadus-therian.gif

For your Tornadus, I would suggest running 252 EVs in Speed just for the sake of gaining more speed support on your team. It looks like your team can take a serious beating from Gengar, Alakazam, and the Latis, so getting a speedy Knock Off or U-turn would be hugely beneficial. Also, I would run Heat Wave over Focus Miss, since it takes away a lot of risk when dealing with the likes of Ferrothorn. Although you will lose some coverage on Heatran, your team handles it pretty well already, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
tornadus-therian.gif

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 80 HP / 176 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Knock Off
hawlucha.gif

Lastly, as lovable as Hawlucha the Mexi-Wrestler is, I think you should give it the boot from this team. So far, some of your team's biggest threats are Scarfed Magnezone, MManectric, Zard-X, and Mega Lopunny. I think Scarfed Lando would be the best replacement, since it can hit just as hard and just as fast against them, and it fulfills the offensive physical attacker slot you're looking for. In addition, Scarfed Lando is, like Hawlucha, a decent win-condition, and it would be quite valuable to your team. Be wary if you decide to replace Hawlucha with Landoge though, since MLop and MManectric usually carry Ice Punch and HP Ice respectively; you will need to predict accordingly.
landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off

You might want to try running an Adamant nature over a Jolly one, but a Jolly nature can outspeed a Jolly Zard-X at +1, which can otherwise wreak havoc on your team.
PS. Just a little nitpick-tweak, whenever you have Special Attackers that aren't running physical moves, set their Attack IVs all the way down to 0, so you minimize "punch-yourself-in-the-face" damage when they get confused.

Otherwise, your team looks pretty solid, and I wish you luck in your future battles! PM me if you have any questions!

Thanks have done a few battles with the Sp.Att starmie and he does work very well, and the airballon has made me able to safely set up rocks. Cheers for feed back.

The only real threat in that list for me in mega metagross, with both charizards and lopunny I have found diancie to be able to deal with them. This may just be becuase i am playing with alot of newer players due to matchmaking, After a few more games the hippo seems especialy tempting as I have a fair bit of weakness to mega manetric. I really like the ferrorthorn so am reluctant in taking him out however those mega meta grosses are really getting on my nerves so I may have to xD. (EDIT) Cheers for feed back <3. On second thought just been vs several solarbeam charizard y yh i need to do something to deal with that xD .

Wow Thanks a ton for this detailed review, sry about no pictures will try and changed that its just at the time had no idea how to do it xD. I have since switched my starmie to an offensive spinner ( max sp.att max speed) which has worked very nicely in taking out some threats. The changes to heatran have been good as I havent noticed the loss in speed but have definatly seen that extra bulkyness and its nice. I have also since tryed your set out on tornadus, and yes heat wave has worked much better as the miss on focus blast was getting on my nerves. At the moment I am reluctant to let my mexican wrestler go but I can see a landourus taking then role very well so I will test it out. Thanks again for all this detail its much appreciated. <3
