Machamp just used what?

Wow, this is a really smart idea. I would've never thought of it -- thanks for sharing. It really will be something people won't expect..

Edit: I had posted for another option of fire punch, but then I realized that steel walls probably have a lot of defense. However, with guts + fire punch, it could possibly balance it out.

However, would fire punch be another good option? Let's say if Machamp was guts + fire punch, would that do more? Just another option of course.

Ice Punch already covers Tangrowth, and Fire Blast takes advantage of the wall's low SpDef.

TD: I guess Fire Punch could work with Guts but thats only with Guts which you don't have all the time.

SC: OK tell me what would you use in that fourth slot?

Ice Punch doesn't really cover Tangrowth, IMO, which takes a max of 43% from it, and in those three turns that it's getting hit, it can Paralyze, Sleep, Knock Off your LO, or hit you with STAB base 120 Power Whip off base 100 Atk. But that's what Fire Blast is for :).

Ice Punch seems to me as more of a Gliscor deterrant, doing around 75%.

Good choices too but why not Fire Blast? You're not putting any evs in SP Atk and all it does is allow Machamp to hit walls like Skarm,Tangrowth and Forrtress on the other side of the defensive spectrum aka SP.Def.

I know, but I don't like a poke moving last, so already taking damage, to have a LO. Cb, however, doesn't have recoil and you'll have some extra power

We're just going to go around in circles with the Life Orb VS Choice Band. The set we posted is not going to change. If you want to have more power for less coverage, then that's your prerogative. We're opting for more coverage, and more versatility.

As far as the Life Orb + moving last goes, set it up with Trick Room like I suggested, or pass it a Sub like Gin suggested.

It does, it KO's gyara. And has more coverage, if versatality is killing yourself, then you're right.

So does Stone Edge.

Pfff, SE has less power, do you have calcs for both one bulky gyara? Trick room is good, but the sub will break on the switch in anyway. Sub is used to get fragile but quick pokes in.

What do I have to say to get you to drop it? If you want to use a Choice Band, then do it! Nobody is stopping you! We're not in here to talk about Choice Band VS Life Orb! Put Thunderpunch on your Machamp, I don't care.

I know, just saying CB is better, I'll never use a CB one anyway.

Just the fact that you're never going to use one probably means that you've never used one in the past, giving your arguement no substance. I've faced the standard Machamp set, and based on how I switched into that one, if it had been Loetke's set, I would've been pwnt three times over.

Lol.

So what are you arguing about? Have you tried our set? Why just come to tell us a set you'd never use is better than ours?
