That Section As A Bit Of A Story... Ignore It Or Read It...

To start off... This is a team that I've done good with and used in the past...
But it just needs that little something...

The Team:
sableye_by_nillakiwi-d6wj3c5.png

Sables Eyes -R- (Sableye) @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Recover

Sableye is currently one of the most reliable switch-ins in the metagame at the moment when it comes to megas...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As shown in the picture above... It craves its will-o wisp after its done... when you see this guy its like a shadow coming at high velocity after you... you would need a calm mind or two to take this guy on and after you would need some good time to recover... also you would have to be pretty bold to even attempt to take this guy on... He practiced when he was younger to via the act of being a prankster... Look into those eyes... fear me... its over...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Onto the real point sableye is immune to normal, fighting and psychic... Its resistant to poison, and the only type its weak to is fairy... so when it comes to switch ins and bulk... this guy is pretty reliable being able to check plenty of mons... and you never know when someone is going to switch out this guy into another pokemon...
The Given Stat Investments And Moves Allow Sableye To Play A Multitude Of Roles Such As Will O Wisp To Weaken Threatening Pokemon Such As Dragonite Since He Can Take 2 Outrages To The face With Enemy having st rocks setup against a good majority of Dragonites (3 HKO) And The shadow ball/calm mind gives sableye the ability to become a lategame revenge sweeper... and recover is a bit self explanatory.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All in all sableye is the glue that sticks this team together
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Star me -R- (Starmie) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Thunder Wave
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

A really standard Starmie set that works wonders in this team...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As shown in the picture above... Starmie goes so over with its rapid spin that after it never stops... Its Timid which is why it spins as a way of defense... its thunder wave paralyzes pokemon and it can get away easily... and it scalds its friends for doing the wrong thing...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Onto the point... Starmie has no immunities... it has got alot of weaknesses, but at the same time alot of resistances which balances that out... Its basically the opposite of a normal type, and its got alot to deal with... although at the same time, you dont want to be dealing with this guy... Luckily though weaknesses, immunities, etc. isnt what starmie is for...

Starmies Role In This Team... is around 3-4 roles but the two main ones are the fact that for one... It Synergises Really Well With Cobalion, Shaymin and Mega Sableye... the other main role out of the two is its t-wave ... Starmies synergy with mega sableye means that these two together... If they can weaken the entire opposing team with appropriate statuses and dragonite gets heal bells out of the way... its gg... The less main roles but still important are the sweeping ability it holds, and rapid spin for removing stealth rocks...

The stat investments are 248 Hp and 8 def so it can make a few certain pokemon go from 1-2 OHKOS on starmie or 2-3 OHKOS on starmie... and the 252 speed with timid is for its sweeping abilities along with stuff like t-wave for getting that in before anything...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All In All Starmie Is The Rope That Connects All The Synergies In This Team... Like For Example In Fifa... You Always Need That Player That connects The Team Chemistry...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cobalion_attack_by_e_x_p_i_e-d6ip09x.jpg

Cobae's Lion -R- (Cobalion) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 100 HP / 156 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Iron Head
- Thunder Wave

Originally the pokemon was terrakion for stealth rocks although after some testing... a few months ago this cobalion set was recommended to me... cobalion fits the role alot better
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From here on or for now no more stories... I might edit it later but it takes up extra time...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To the point... Cobalion is weak to fighting, ground and fire... although it has resistances, normal damages, and due to its steel typing it removes poison as well as toxic which can rip apart alot of stall pokemon and make this pokemon less or more reliable then sableye in different situations...

The given stat investments (/roles) ... of 100 hp, 156 def, and 252 spe means that it can outplay alot of stealth rockers due to the fact that most stealth rock pokemon are offensive... and its moveset makes it easily able to outplay pokemon such as smeargle or breloom, cobalion also acts as a nice check for fairy type pokemon, and when worst comes to worst he can potentially take starmies role... If theres any pokemon I would want to sacrifice first though if I had to due to use in this team it would 7/10 times be cobalion and 3/10 times be heatran although at the same time being able to sacrifice this pokemon if I need to makes him a viable asset in this team
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cobalion is the setup pokemon but also the +1 That can turn into a suicide lead if needed... which makes him a viable asset
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dragons lite -R- (Dragonite) @ Leftovers

Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 216 HP / 64 Atk / 228 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Roost
- Dragon Claw
- Extreme Speed
- Fire Punch
This spot has always been filled by dragonite though 7 months ago he had quite a different role... Although dragonite at this point isnt necessarily for specific events... Hes a backup / a check for if the extreme happens... although hes still usefull for mid game to weaken opponents
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blank (Refer Above)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To The Point... Dragonite is resistant to alot of base and common elements, immune to ground... which is half of his use and weak to types that dont even phase this team...

The given stat investments... I dont want him to be a sweeper in a sense... the need for him is a take a punch give a bunch type of pokemon... also good checks to alot of pokemon that are threats in ou in general not necessarily threats to this team but like for example... Scizor, ferrothorn etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dragonite is like the leader... The team is only as strong as its weakest link... when we lose a link and become weak... dragonite can fit into multiple roles
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tumblr_lyi0uemk1l1qg7r22o1_500.gif

Shaym On You -R- (Shaymin) @ Leftovers

Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leech Seed
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Aromatherapy
This spot was believe it or not originally filled by a serperior and it didnt have this role... yes thats right before the previous rmt for this team this is where people got worried when looking at it... "Wheres The Synergy" "Wheres The Coverage Status-Wise" Well Here Was What Was Recommended Back Then And It Works Wonders!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blank (refer above)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To the point... Shaymin is weak to fire, bug, poison, ice, flying... while being resistant to ground, water, grass, and electric... That out of the way...

Shaymins Moveset/Ev Spread/Role... well shaymins moveset is based for status healing (aromatherapy) really nice coverage and checks against common mons (earth power, seed flare) also seed flares hax, signature move, and stab come into a major effect with this pokemon, also leech seed... the 252 spa atk/ 252 spe w/ timid is of course the sweeping and outspeeding for aromatherapy... Shaymins role is checks, Sweeping, Status Healing, Stall, Leech Seeding Etc...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All in all shaymin with starmie in this team turn the team itself into a amazing combo
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tumblr_m1k825L5mQ1qd87hlo1_500.gif

Heat REN REN -R- (Heatran) @ Air Balloon

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Protect
to sum it all up the reason for heatran is his amazing coverage in this team, protect for scouting and a mon that the enemy team usually ends up having to sacrifice a mon to kill...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
blank (refer above)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
to the point... Heatran is immune to poison, resistant to a total of 9 types, weak to fighting and water... and 4x weak to ground... although this is where protect/air balloon/dragonite makes a big effect! predicting eq etcs... as long as ground cant hit this guy you can threaten the team and weaken them to the point where any of your mons can kill...

The given moveset/stat investments... 252 HP 4 Spa and 252 SpD result in heatrans Bulky ability and weakening out the enemy as well... with lava plume whether your doing 10% or 60% when it comes to heatran as long as your weakening them its good... and since lava plume has a 30% chance to burn... The calm nature increases spd and lowers attack which makes this guy potentially a special wall... his roar is good for predicting switches and messing up the team, I mainly summed up lava plume and protect above... and earth power is pretty self explanatory

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All in all...
Heatran Is Coverage

If You Did Read All Of This... thankyou... If You Think You Found A Way You Can Help Or Even Have A Idea... Please Post It... Thankyou...

P.S. If You Did Read Everything... This Team Has Been Tested And Made By Me Several Times In The Past And Ive Done A Rmt On A Team That Improved To This Around 6 Months Ago...

Edit 1: P.S. Just A Quick Note If Someone Could Try And Figure Out Some Good Mega Alternatives Incase Of Tweaking...

Edit 2: P.S. even if its terrible... Id like to see some changes involves hoopa-U even if it potentially means changing 4 Pokemon

I don't really see how Shaymin helps your team, and I suggest you change Shaymin to Scarf Landorus-T. This helps you take on Mega Lopunny, and Hoopa-U, as well as a revenge killer to offensive Starmie, which is a threat to your whole team. I know you're going to defend it, but Shaymin is really pretty outclassed in OU, by both Celebi and Serperior, and you are better off with Landorus-T to check the aforementioned threats.

On to moveset changes. Starmie looks better off running an offensive set on this team, with Thunderbolt. This is because, if you took my advice and replaced Shaymin, this is your only check to bulky water types, such as Azumarill, Suicune, and Manaphy. Having Thunderbolt to take care of these also help Mega Sableye set up better, as it doesn't have to worry about Azumarill coming in on a predicted Recover, or Manaphy boosting next to it. Cobalion's set can be optimized with Volt Switch | Close Combat | Iron Head | Thunder Wave, as well as moving Stealth Rock to Heatran. You might also try Superpower on Dragonite, which hits Bisharp harder, a pretty large threat to your team.

just a quick note though... for some sets you didnt mention have a few examples for me to tweak a bit? another reason for an example set for starmie is so I can add it into the suggestions box area for quicker reach... I can tend to tell what the recommendation is alot of the time via the movesets

Starmie @ Life Orb

Hey,really team however i'll noticed some flaws but i'll try to fix them.

Huge weakness to Zard-X since you don't have any thing which can outspeed him/take a hit and KO him back, Keldeo SubCM is another annoying threat for M-Sableye (and your team in general) since Starmie doesn't have Psyshock to handle him, Thundurus-I can just 6-0 your team with ease.

Now lets talk about your team :

I'm not seeing the utility of Thunder-Wave Starmie, its rarely usefull.

Shaymin is outclassed by Serperior, Serperior have acces to Leech Seed and Synthesis, Leaf Storm is like Seed Flare but with more accuracy, Serperior have a really good speedtier which allow him to outspeed thing like Keldeo which Shaymin can't.

Dragonite is pretty useless damn, SpeDef set is one of the worst set i ever seen because it doesn't really have too much utility, even with SpeDef, i don't think you can use it as check to Special Attacker which can burn him or hitting him with an super effective move (Keldeo,Manaphy,Clefable,M-Diancie,M-Gardevoir,Tornadus-T (Hp ice/Icy wind),Thundurus,M-Mane). you can only check thing like Zard-Y,Gengar (without SR i think) and Serperior. You can't just put an Dragon Dancer in your team because it allow you to check 1-2 mon in the tier (which isn't pretty huge) but you are building around him to remove his checks/counter. CB/Offensive DD are the best sets.

Heatran SpeDef should be used with Stealth Rock, always.

First of all,i'd suggest to use Psyshock over Thunder-Wave on your Starmie, it will allow you to handle Keldeo SubCM which is one of the biggest threat for M-Sableye (even without it, Keldeo can be annoying for your team).

I'd recommend to use Jirachi over Cobalion, even if the idea of the Coablion wasn't bad, i don't think it fite well on this team and Jirachi is doing a better work as Stealth Rocker and as Fairy check.

The team is very weak to many physical attacker like M-Lopunny,M-Gross,M-Zard X and Hoopa-U and it lack of a way to deal with Thundurus. Scarf Landorus-T can fix quickly all this problems.

Without Cobalion, the team is very weak to Bisharp, only few mon can handle him well and the only one which can fite well on your team is Keldeo, Keldeo can be used with Choice Specs, the Expert Belt or The Life Orb(Sub CM isn't really good since you aren't using a Pursuit trapper and Scarf too because you have Landorus-T as Scarfer).

Without Stealth Rock and since you have a better Fairy check, Heatran doesn't have now any utility on the team, Raikou is a really good choice over him since it can make a really good 'Volt-Turn' core with Landorus-T, it will still work as Talonflame check

thankyou for the interesting rating... ill be sure to try this out/test it

Hope i helped !
also btw 5 matches with your changes in 1500- 1-4 (1 Win)
5 matches in 1400 1-4
5 matches in 1300 3-2
1200 2-3
1100 4-1

Then the other team (the one you saw problems in)
1500
5-0
1400
4-1
1300
5-0
1200
1-4
1100
0-5

Have any changes that dont full out change the team or just have one that changes the structure like for example diancie/hoopa-U with a few other mons

This team was originally based around The SerSable Combo... But since this team was created alot of checks have been made and people have become more used to it... Personally I like to have teams that have uncommon but effective sets... also I may tweak a few of my team because I actually like a few of your suggestions...
But could you maybe suggest some other stuff to... alot of threats to this team are entirely uncommon pokemon in the meta nowadays... although if you or someone else could... maybe try mixing your suggestion with the one before yours and add a twist? since suprisingly the one before yours is quite effective and similar to yours although has things missing... one major thing for me at least that I see missing in both suggestions is a status healer like shaymin heal bell... Having access to heal bell means you can let the opponent think they are winning waste their status pokes etc. and then heal bell as if nothing happened... also sableyes dont seem to get 5hkod anymore since most teams have checks to it nowadays... and even if I have a check to their check... alot of pokemon in every team have fairy type moves... also for example mega sableye... isnt a threat believe it or not... Since with stealth rocks up and sableyes low speed as long as every poke in my team can do decent damage to it its dead... and also I face the same problem with my sableye (although sr arent up) it gets 2hkod by simple means... and even 3hko is to much now compared to before... also if you see a section for a ditto for anti sweeping that might be useful to... thanks

Heal bell isn't mandatory on M-Sableye team.

The Dragonite set isn't uncommon, its just bad spread.

Good opponent will expect Shaymin to be an offensive variant or an defensive variant (since he might know Serperior since its played like Shaymin).

Also, next time, just EDIT your post.

I can understand that, the dragon set is useful or for the moment at least... and id rather you give some suggestions besides basically saying get rid of stuff... maybe suggest something to replace?
