What do you think of this?

Okay so over the weekend I was browsing the profiles of several pokes when something occurred to me. It's a double battle combo I call ShucKing (lol, need better title!). But seriously it could actually work. The way it goes is Shuckle uses Gastro Acid on the first turn to free Slaking of truant, and slaking proceeds to own. So it's kind of like Skill Swap Slaking/Alakazam combo from RSE but GA lasts as long as Slaking is in battle. Now then, what I need is for you guys to share thoughts on counters, and general problems this could face. So here are the sets:

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Relaxed
252 def/ 252 sp.def/ 4 atk
-Gyro Ball
-Gastro Acid
-Helping Hand
-Knock Off

Slaking @ ????
Adamant
252 atk/ 100 spd/ 76 def/ 76 spdef
-Night Slash
-Brick Break/Return
-Ice Punch
-Thunder Punch

Okay so just what you think, oh and if this has been done before ( I'm pretty sure it hasn't) sorry. But otherwise let's hear some discussion!

Pretty clever, but Cradily would make a better "gastro acid" user, becuase it can do more after it uses that. Shuckle just sits there and, uh.... sucks.

imo a slowbro with skillswap and Swagger is better
first skill swap with slowbro
try to give it to an opponent
then swagger Slaking (more power FTW :P)

This strategy has been thought of before (the idea of doing that has existed as soon as gastro acid was disclosed).
The reason you haven't seen it a lot is because it has many problems that are difficult to get around, and most of them are the same as in RSE (ganging up on slacking or the assistant, protects, subs, fake out, etc.).

Besides the most obvious (a double-intimidate starter team = castration), the existence of choice glasses significantly raise the chances of slaking being 1HKO'd by powerful special moves (hi draco meteor) which make this combo less sturdy than it was in RSE.
Now of course "this strategy is weak against a strong attack" is a very ignorant thing to say, but if it wasn't for choice glasses there would be a lot less 1hko's to worry about. In RSE, Slaking was almost always guaranteed at least one good shot.

With the addition of choice scarf and choice glasses, Slaking's used-to-be-impressive speed and defenses can easily be overcome, making a strategy based around a single pokemon much more risky, as well as tough to play effectively.

2v2 has always been about the whole team, not just one poke. Trick room teams, Sunny teams, Rain teams. These are the ones you'll have to contend with, and nothing that the "Shucking" strategy has going for it has any advantage over these. Strong fast pokemon? Rain dance. Beefy tank that can take multiple hits and still go first? Trick Room. Attacking more frequently? Solarbeam in the sun.

What it boils down to is that the power difference between Truant Slaking and non-truant slaking is no longer enough to warrant basing your team around it or giving up your 2nd poke's turn (one could argue that the first turn of a 2v2 is the most important of all).

And it's only worse for Regigigas. I believe it is a very fun strategy, but not one that would win you a tourney or anything.

After all of the talk of 'that's an obvious combo' etc etc, here's something pretty obvious that everyone else missed.

Max out HP on Shuckle.
