ORAS OU Sweep OU Team (Hyper Offensive)

Hi everyone I'm really new and this is my first competitive battling team! :)
Hope you Like!
Please rate or make any suggestions

talonflame-3.gif

Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 hp
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
- Roost

Talonflame is a very fun physical sweeper to use. He can do extreme damage with high attack and he has also extreme speed so he can outspeed his foes. So I gave it Jolly Nature because I always thought Talon flame was supposed to more faster than it's attack in my opinion, there is also Swords Dance to boost its attack and while it has no moves to boost it's speed so I gave it jolly , also maybe it can outspeed fast threats like Alakazam , Gengar , Mega-Lopunny. I didn't give it U-turn it because it felt like Roost was more important because I will have so much recoil damage with Flare Blitz and Brave Bird. I gave it swords dance for good extra damage. Flare Blitz is good STAB damage. Brave Bird for another good STAB damage plus with gale wings you can always go faster and with the
boost of Sharp Beak it does even more damage. Roost to gain health back. Also I recommend if you do neutral damage to a pokemon with Flare Blitz or Brave Bird use Brave Bird because it does more damage because of the Sharp Beak.

gardevoir-mega.gif

Mega-Gardevoir @ Gardevorite
Ability : Pixilate
EVs : 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 hp
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball / Calm Mind ( Preferably Calm Mind )

Mega Gardevoir is an amazing special attacker, with high special attack it can do alot of damage to Specially Defensive pokemon such as Milotic , Chansey etc... With Calm Minds you can blow Chansey with 2 Hyper Voices. If all your phys. attackers are down and they have a Chansey you can always rely on Gardevoir. I gave it Modest Nature because Gardevoir isn't that fast of a mon it's more like an SpAtker, but with Talonflame it think it's more than a faster pokemon. One of it's roles are to to take out major threats like Chansey's, or any set up mons if Gengar is dead. I gave it Hyper Voice instead of Moonblast because with Pixilate it increases the damage from 90 to 117. Pyshock is for focusing on the Def more than its Special Defense this helps Gardevoir take out even more Specially Defensive mons. I didn't know which one to decide ShadowB or Calm Mind, but the I realized that if maybe I can set up Calm Minds to maybe sweep the team, I also realized that Shadow Ball was just an attack move it dosen't do that much and it's not STAB. Mega Gard. is know for a full out extreme spaecial attacker.

Gengar_AttackAnimation_1_XY.gif

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability : Levitate
EVs : 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 hp
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

Know this is kinda like a Talonflame but its a Special Attacker. Gengar is a really fast mon who has really high Special Attack also. With it's life orb it can be a serious threat. I gave it taunt because mons who are set up mons like Ferrothorn, Skarmory etc... Gengar is 100% faster then them and usually people don't expect a Gengar who has Taunt. It also goes for any Stealth Rock mons like Garchomp , Landorous Therian etc. you will be faster then them (unless they have Choice Scarf) then you can taunt them so you can protect your team from damage. Also if it's a Ferrothorn or a Skarmory who usually has like 1 attack move and you taunt them you will force them to switch out. Shadow Ball - Good STAB damage, Sludge Wave - Does more than Sludge Bomb but also STAB , Focus blast for any dark type pokemon. Gengar is known for a fast special sweeper in this team.

latest

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability : Levitate
EVs : 252 Spe / 252 hp / 4 Atk
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Skill Swap
- Explosion

Azelf is the fery few ones that are fast mons that can use stealth rocks. This pokemon is your lead , YOU MUST choose this pokemon as your lead because if the team has stealth rock (which you never know) the whole plan with Azelf will screw up. Azelf is known as the bulky support on this team. If the foe has Fake out the plan with Azelf will also screw up. 1st. Set up your rocks , 2nd. Use explosion , easy steps. After you set up rocks Azelf is technically useless so you can just blow it up and do damage to your opponent's foe. If they fake out they will break your sash and there's high chance that you'll set up rocks and then don't get to explode. It's like the Gengar, Azelf is really fast and most likely it will speed your foe's set up mon and you can save your team from hazardous moves like Stealth Rock , Spikes etc... Skill Swap for fun and annoyance, for an instance if your versing a heatran and you use Skill Swap and they use a fire move it will be immune ( because all the time Heatran has Flash Fire).

scizor-3.gif

Scizor Life Orb
Ability : Technician
EVs : 252 Atk / 248 HP / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Swords Dance

So Talonflame is the Jolly sweeper while Scizor is the Adamant sweeper. Scizor in this team is known for a Bulky Physical Sweeper it's main job is to defeat Bulky pokemon like Garchomp , Chansey etc...
Swords Dance raises your attack points and if you get one of those off I'm guaranteed you will defeat at least half of team. I gave it technician because it raises the Attack power of Bullet Punch which is STAB plus the Life Orb help and if you have one Swords Dance off this Bullet Punch can do EXTREME damage. I didn't give it roost because I feel like it doesn't need to gain hp and that's wasting a turn. I gave it Bug Bite instead of U-turn because if I gave it U-Turn it would lose all it's Swords Dance stats if you had any on and Superpower because it does alot of damage and it takes care of Steel-Type pokemon

garchomp-3.gif

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Outrage
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake

Garchomp's main job is to take out mid-fast foes like Keldeo, Landorous Therian etc... I use him only if all of my fast mons died and no one can out speed your other mons Some people like to make him a bulky supporter or a bulky physical sweeper. I used this team in competitive battling and I bring him out barely. He's like for emergencies only, I suggest using him for fast mons. His max Speed comes out as 333 which is pretty high. I suggest not using Outrage if the opponent's team has a fairy type. Dragon Claw is a good STAB damage move other than outrage which locks you in, Earthquake is another STAB damage move, and Fire Blasts are for any Ice pokemon. You could rock out with Fire Fang but it doesn't do that much damage compared to Fire Blast.

Threats:

sableye-mega.gif

Mega - Sableye
He has taunt which is bad because if he leads with it he will use taunt first then Azelf which won't make you able to set up rocks, but your'e probably thinking can't I just switch out? Well if you do you can risk for a hazardous set up like Stealth Rocks which will break Azelf's sash. Not only can it taunt it can STALL which means it can Will-O-Wisp which halves your damage , which means if you have Scizor out and he Wil-O-Wisps you, you will have to do 1 Swords Dance to be at regular damage and and do another one to do more damage. Also if he Will-O-Wisps your Gengar or Szicor every turn you do a damaging move 22% of your health will be gone because of the Life Orb.

113.png

Chansey- This is only a threat if your Talonflame, Sczior and Mega-Gardevoir is dead because Gengar and Garchomp can't set up like Talonflame can use Swords Dance to boost it's stats. Also if you still have your Azelf for some reason you can't kill it at full hp explosion, even if you do explode it can just heal back up with Wish / Soft-Boiled.

latest

Now out of all the types Flying can do regular damage to all of these pokemons, so if a flying type pokemon (Talonflame etc..) has a set up like Swords Dance or Calm Minds it can be a little problem.

latest

Mega Lopunny is really fast and can out speed this whole team, she can do alot of damage to my team and has some coverages too like high jump kick , return , fake out and Ice punch which 1 KO my Garchomp. The only way to get rid of her is by using Scizor then using Superpower.

This team looks pretty cool. I have two suggestions to improve it.
#1: I like the Gardevoir set but you might want to consider changing the nature to Timid. This lets you outspeed and KO standard Kyurem-B. Also, iirc the HP EVs are hurting it by pushing its HP to an even number, making it take more damage from status.
#2: Give Azelf Psyshock over Skill Swap to KO Gengar. Skill Swap is useless 90% of the time and doesn't really help it the other 10%. The only real reason to use it would be against Mega Sableye, which Gardevoir can counter well enough.
Thank you for reading! I hope my rate was helpful

His team is essentially hyper offense, and azelf's SOLE pupose is to set up stealth rocks, so that his other pokemon extend their OHKO and two hit KO's. Skill swap is needed to get rocks up against a magic bounce user, like espeon, sableye, and diancie. If Psyshock was really that needed, I would get rid of taunt for it before skill swap.

On a side note, I reccomend changing the ev spread on azelf to 128 def/ 128 hp rather than just 252 hp. This makes it so that you are garenteed to set up stealth rocks vs a mega lopunny, as they can't kill you with a combination of fake out and their other moves.

Ehy :)

my advice is to change the moves of Scizor to better withstand Latias. Also you can Change Latias > Garchomp because
It needs something that allows you to remove the Hazard for Talonflame and is a swichin for keldeo
To help against Lopunny and Manecrit/Raikou you can place Hippodown>Azelf. Change the spread of Talonflame with 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Def to take less damage from SR.

just curious what the purpose of 252 hp over 252 att is if he is going to have a focus sash. the whole point of Azelf lead is to set rocks and explode so it doesn't become set up fodder so wouldn't it be ideal for Explosion to get off as much damage as possible, especially for a team like this?

Also, I don't think people understand the purpose of HO. He isn't going to remove his offense pressure for defensive mons.

Thanx for the advice! It really helped me! :)
Glad it helped! Although I personally prefer to not lead with azelf against a lopunny team, as I usually want to get more out of my azelf than a single stealth rock.

If you want to experiment with some other azelf lead sets, here is the one I run:
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 196 Atk / 60 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Taunt
- Explosion
- Flamethrower
- Stealth Rock

I choose to forsake skill swap here because against a team that uses a magic bounce user, it is very unlikely that they will be setting up rocks themselves, (unless they lead with xatu, but if they are using xatu they are probably bad or an extremely specialized team). As a result, just play the game out a little slower and aim to weaken their magic bounce user until you can get your rocks up.

Another reason I don't like skill swap as much is that it isn't a garentee against veteran players. Some people who play mega sableye will purposefully delay their mega evolution to stop your skill swap, and skill swap doesn't go through the protect that mega diancie users will run 90% of the time. As for espeon, its rather rare because of how frail it is, I've only seen 2 over my past 100 battles. The last reason skill swap sometimes fails me is that the opponent can predict a skill swap and will just straight up attack your azelf, resulting in you getting stealth rocks up at the cost of azelfs life, a trade that I don't like to make.
-----------------------------------------------------

Do note that although it has its draw backs, skill swap is still a perfectly viable move. You just really need to apply pressure and not give your opponent a chance to remove the rocks you set up, as after all those rocks on the field are your azelf's legacy in battle.

Yo! Fresh Hyper offense. As it tends to be with HO you're a bit weak to Lopunny, Talonflame and weather offense.

Essentially I think your backbone is solid so I only have one suggested change in terms of pokemon. I would recommend Azumarill over Gengar. Gengar and Gardevoir already have kind of overlapping roles and Gengar isn't helping you against the aforementioned threats. Azumarill is adept at checking Excadrill, Rain sweepers, and Talonflame/Lopunny if kept healthy. It also provides you with another form of priority which is vital for masking weaknesses on HO these days.

I would recommend a Choice Band set with the spread 56 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe with an Adamant Nature. This lets you get the jump on Skarmory, most Mega Scizor and most other Azumarills. A slightly bulkier spread is fine as well, just outspeed min speed Mega Scizor or Skarmory imo.

Now with Gengar gone the role of stallbreaker falls into Gardevoir's shoulders, so I would make Taunt its final move. You can also run a spread of 16 HP / 8 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe which allows you to switch into Latios' Psyshock if Stealth Rock is not up.

For Talonflame, move the 4 HP EVs into Def. This way you will take less than 50% from Stealth Rock upon switchin.

I would also recommend running more speed on Scizor. SD variants want to outspeed things like bulky Rotom-Wash and slower Scizor if possible. I would honestly just run max speed but you can drop a little bit into bulk with something like 224 speed EVs for Rotom-Wash.

I'll be honest I'd don't know jack about Axelf spreads but I don't think max HP is the way to go. Akashskys suggestion seems fine I would do either that or max attack personally.

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe
