SUMMARY: This is a pretty standard balance team, with a nice Regenerator core between Slowking and Tornadus-Therian. It consists of two Volt/Turn Pokemon and two set up Pokemon(one physical and one special). If used correctly, can be very lethal on the Pokemon Showdown ladder.

Gyarados-Mega @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Fang/Substitute
- Dragon Dance
As voted on by the viewers of my last RMT, the Mega for this team is Mega-Gyarados. Mega-Gyarados is such a dangerous Pokemon in the OU metagame. Even though Mega-Gyarados is notorious for trying to set up and sweep, sometimes you honestly can't do anything about it. It is also crucial to Mega Evolve at the right time or only if necessary. For example, say your opponents "counter" to this thing is a Conkeldurr or Breloom after you have set up a Dragon Dance or two. As long as the Conkeldurr does not have Thunder Punch, and Breloom is not the Spore Focus Sash set, normal Gyarados beats both of those One vs. One. Mega-Gyarados is such a huge threat and in many cases the best win condition on this team. I can't decided between Ice Fang and Substitute, I have had success with both and it is really based on your personal preference.

Here are some damage calculations to show you the power of this Mega-Gyarados:
- +2 252 Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Conkeldurr: 312-367 (88.8 - 104.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
- 252 Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Hoopa Unbound: 252-297 (83.7 - 98.6%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
- 252 Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Crunch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 300-354 (87.9 - 103.8%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Slowking @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 184 Def / 76 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
Slowking is one of my favorite Pokemon to use in OU. Slowking is basically the "sponge" of this team. Slowking soaks up hits and switches out or Slacks Off the damage to recover. This thing is very bulky especially if you can get a couple of Calm Minds up. In some cases, Slowking can win the game simply because the opponent does not have a solid answer for this Pokemon. I have no idea why Slowking is tiered in RU. Slowking deserves to be in OU just as much as Slowbro does. This Slowking set also walls Clefable, which is otherwise a problem to this team.

Here are some damage calculations to show you the bulk of this Slowking:
- 252 Atk Sharp Beak Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 184 Def Slowking: 168-198 (42.7 - 50.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
- 252 Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 184 Def Slowking: 165-195 (41.9 - 49.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
- 252 SpA Life Orb Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 248 HP / 76+ SpD Slowking: 164-192 (41.7 - 48.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Raikou @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Raikou is one of the best Volt turners in the OU metagame. It's fantastic speed makes it a great Choice Specs user. The Choice Specs is solely used to add more power to Raikou's attacks, because I do not like the Choice Scarf, Assault Vest, or the Substitute and Calm Mind set. Choice Specs allow me to do some serious damage with a decent moveset for coverage. This Pokemon is mainly used to provide chip damage and gain momentum against my opponent. Raikou is my best answer for bulky Water types that could be problematic.

Here are some damage calculations to show you the power of this Raikou:
- 252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Volt Switch vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 148-175 (48.8 - 57.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
- 252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Volt Switch vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Skarmory: 284-336 (85 - 100.5%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
- 252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Garchomp: 380-448 (90.4 - 106.6%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 100 HP / 80 Atk / 108 SpA / 220 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Iron Tail
- U-turn
Tornadus-Therian is one of the best Pokemon in the OU metagame in my opinion. This Pokemon gets an insane move pool to choose from. Tornadus-Therian has two popular sets. One being the Life Orb set, and the other is the Assault Vest set. I prefer the Assault Vest set over the Life Orb set to take Special attacks much better and not damage myself due to a Life Orb. Tornadus-Therian is probably the best pivot in OU right now. Being able to U-turn out of bad situations and take advantage of the ability of Regenerator helps you gain a lot of momentum. The reason I am using Iron Tail is to handle Fairy types better and Mega-Diancie is a problem if Slowking goes down.

Here are some damage calculations to show you the versatility of this Tornadus-Therian:
- 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Psyshock vs. 100 HP / 0- Def Tornadus-T: 230-270 (70.9 - 83.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
- 108 SpA Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 204+ SpD Celebi: 216-254 (53.4 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
- 108 SpA Tornadus-T Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo: 312-368 (96.5 - 113.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Stealth Rock
- Endure
The classic Tank Garchomp set is such a great physical wall. These things are Talonflame's worst nightmare. Garchomp needs to be paired with a couple of Ice resists, which I have with Mega-Gyarados and Slowking. Garchomp can set up Stealth Rock and Dragon Tail out threats making them take more Stealth Rock damage. This is a good strategy to use if your opponent constantly switches out or brings Pokemon like Talonflame, Volcarona, and Charizard. The reason I chose Endure over Toxic or Fire Blast is to make Physical attackers be punished for attacking this Garchomp. Two contact hits against this Garchomp results in the opponent damaging themselves around 60% of their HP!

Here are some damage calculations to show you the bulk of this Garchomp:
- 252+ Atk Choice Band Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Garchomp: 186-220 (44.2 - 52.3%) -- 19.1% chance to 2HKO
- +2 252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Garchomp: 263-309 (62.6 - 73.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
- 252 Atk Mega Lopunny High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Garchomp: 175-207 (41.6 - 49.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Will-O-Wisp
- Defog
- Soft-Boiled
Mew is honestly just on this team to be a bulky Defog user. Mew can also Burn other Pokemon with its access to Will-O-Wisp. Mew is a decent stall Pokemon with this set, because once you burn a Physical attacker it is no longer a threat. This Mew is a Specially Defensive wall with its EV spread. Mew is able to be a pain to your opponent by Knocking Off their items and constantly healing itself up with Leftovers and Soft-Boiled. If used right, Mew is a great support Pokemon to build a team with.

Here are some damage calculations to show you the bulk of this Mew:
- 0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Mew: 79-94 (19.5 - 23.2%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
- +3 252 SpA Manaphy Scald vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Mew: 201-237 (49.7 - 58.6%) -- 68.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
- 252 SpA Alakazam Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Mew: 134-158 (33.1 - 39.1%) -- 9.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
