I'm gonna start soft reseting soon for Azlef, Mesprit and Uxie. I was wondering when you see Azelf and Uxie, but die or whatever, then get the national dex, if their nature will be locked in after you see them?

No one seems to know this, so I'll keep asking:

Do eggs bred from hacked pokemon have some kind of code difference that flags them as being hacked?

If you use thunderpunch, is it going over rockslide? That means that salamence (and dragonite) will be relatively safe. If you replace fire punch, any grass type or bronzong can take the hit. Another consideration is gyarados, which I ran some calcs for. You should pay more attention to the calcs with intimidate included, because you baton pass speed to marowak, right? (If not, how do you plan to sweep?) Well good luck using baton pass after gyara taunts you. That means that the gyarados you face will switch into you, meaning taunt is in effect.

Jolly Marowak @ thick club using rockslide on bulky gyarados with intimidate: 43.85% - 51.34%
Jolly Marowak @ thick club using rockslide on bulky gyarados without intimidate: 65.24% - 76.74%
Adamant Marowak @ thick club using rockslide on bulky gyarados with intimidate: 47.86% - 56.42%
Adamant Marowak @ thick club using rockslide on bulky gyarados without intimidate: 71.39% - 83.96%

Jolly Marowak @ thick club using thunderpunch on bulky gyarados with intimidate: 82.29% - 96.88%
Jolly Marowak @ thick club using thunderpunch on bulky gyarados without intimidate: OHKO
Adamant Marowak @ thick club using thunderpunch on bulky gyarados with intimidate: 90.10% - 105.99
Adamant Marowak @ thick club using thunderpunch on bulky gyarados without intimidate: OHKO

Remember that bulky gyara will have leftovers, so some 2HKOs may become 3HKOs.

Of course, this is all moot of you run a swords dance marowak, it always OHKOs gyarados. I’m not sure how you plan on getting off the swords dance though…

After all of this, I think the real consideration is the accuracy. Thunderpunch is 100% accurate, while rock slide is 90%. Marowak is too fragile to afford missing, so in the end I think that thunderpunch is superior, or at the very least viable.

For your other questions, ghost type attacks tend not to give good coverage. Only good against psychic and ghosts, I think.

The analysis sets are made in a vacuum. They tell you what a pokemon is capable of on their own. But your job is to make it fit in with your team. Make it fit a hole in your coverage by tweaking its EVs or moveset to your needs.

Now for my question: In the battle frontier in Emerald, to face the frontier brains you have to win a certain number of battles in a row to face them the first time (and win the silver symbol) and double that to face them a second time (and win a gold symbol). For example, in the battle factory you have to win 21 times before facing the boss the first time and 42 for the second. What happens if you lose the 30th battle in the battle factory? If you then win 21 battles in a row, will the boss show up again, or do you have to win 42 in a row? If he shows up after just 21 battles and you beat him again, will you get the gold medal?

Well I was going for the baton passed sweeper set (as you guessed), and I was going to replace double edge. I decided not to go for the swords dance set, since I would be BP'ing a swords dance anyway, and I replaced double edge because it seemed to not have good type coverage.

Thanks for the help, I'll use thunderpunch over double edge (I'm still using the other standard moves).

Nope, its not set. I did it to get the national dex, and I was able to SR.

Is having ice punch and aqua jet on a azurmarill a legal moveset?
no, azumarill can only learn aquajet through breeding in dp, but then it can't learn ice punch.

Also, i have a question that i feel really stupid for asking but how do you add a poll to a new thread? i go to the bottom and it says include poll, i say yes and say the amount of options i want, after i post the thread will the poll come up and i just fill it out?

Buried, asking again.

Zapdos - #145 (Bold)
HP: 30
Att: 16
Def: 31
SpA: 7
SpD: 22
Speed: 9

Hidden Power (Ghost 63)

Question on my EV spread for this sucker. I'm currently thinking 252 HP/166 DEF/92 SPD. 252 HP matches the analysis suggestion, 92 SPD brings his currently craptastic Speed IV up to the level of a normal no-speed Zapdos, and 166 DEF fills out the spread and bulks up his defense.

My second spread possibility is 252 HP/252 DEF/6 SPD. This means I tell his Speed IV to go jump off a cliff and focus only on HP and DEF.

A third option is to go with 252 HP/133 DEF/125 SPD. This brings his Speed stat to the level suggested in the Roost analysis to beat out T-Tar.

Regigigas - Does the timer for Slow Start reset when you switch him out? Or does it save the count until you switch him back in again?

I have a couple of questions:

1)Does rapid Spin blow away spikes when you're inside a sub?

2)What is the best ghost to block Rapid Spin(defensive-wise)I mean someone who can take all the different spinners(atleast those that are used in ou)with no problem and do more than just block rapid spin?

3)A legendary caught using a code to reactivate the event is considered legit right and will pass the pika cheat detector?

thanks to the person/s who will answer this for me

I have a pokemon who, according to metalkid's calculator, has an HP IV of 31. However, it says "likes to thrash about". I've double checked this and it still shows up as 31. Is there something wrong or am I just retarded?

it then also has an attack iv of 31

no the line shown on that summary screen doesn't mean that's the only stats you have that is perfect for example you could have a 31 speed and 31 satk Manectric that says alert to sounds

Can anyone help me with this?

1) I do think so,not sure though.
2) I always liked Dusknoir,read it's analyses.
3)Pika's detector will not be able do detect it because hacking an item to get an event legendary doesn't alter the algorithm that produces the iv's for the pokémon you want to watch.
