VGC Please help me make my team better!

Hello everyone! I decided to create a VGC 2016 team because it is being held in my hometown this year so I wanted to compete in it. I am practicing on Showdown until I obtain the pokemon In my team in-game. This team was originally for just standard OU, but then I switched over to VGC rules. Without any further ado, here is my team.

lopunny-mega.gif

Ms. Bouncy (Lopunny-Mega) (F) @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Power-Up Punch
- Return

My first member is Ms. Bouncy. A bit of unnecessary background on the name for you. My cousin lended me her copy of diamond when we were kids so that I could train up her Buneary. I deleted her profile in the game thinking it was mine. I realized an hour later that it was hers and that I deleted her Boundary forever. It was not a fun situation at the time. The Buneary's name was Bouncy so in honor of him we have Ms. Bouncy. She is the mega of my team obviously. I mainly use her as a late game sweeper and sometimes I lead with her to mega her and get a fake out on the opposing pokemon. Power-up punch doesn't pack a lot of damage, but it does increase my attack which is beneficial to her main STAB moves which are obviously high jump kick and return. And obviously fake out is there to protect her upon mega evolving.

garchomp.gif

Landshark (Garchomp) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

Next up is my Garchomp. Name is pretty self-explanatory. Garchomp is my secondary hazard setter. I mainly use my Empoleon for hazards, but incase that failed I went with the Tank Chomp set. I decided to carry Toxic rather than Fire Blast because I haven't run into many grass types in either standard OU or VGC with the exception of Ferrothorn which I can take out with Earthquake. Dragon tail is used to drag other pokemon out to take damage from the rocks and potentially poison them.

vaporeon.gif

Lily (Vaporeon) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Scald
- Heal Bell

My next pokemon is Lily. There's no backstory to her name. I just like it. Anyways, she is the bulk of the team as well as the healer. I decided to go 252 EVs in SpD rather than regular defense because Vaporous main weaknesses are electric and grass which tend to roam in the special attacks. I put the remaining 4 EVs in defense because I know some grass moves can be physical. Wish is used to heal up the other members of my team as well as to heal Vaporeon when I'm stalling. Heal bell is obviously used to remove major status conditions. Protect is for a guaranteed wish and to get some health from leftovers. When I was in OU battles I was using a Blissey rather than a Vaporeon, but it turns out Wish Blissey is an event and I can't use it in VGC so I switched over to Vaporeon.

empoleon.gif

Cobalt (Empoleon) (M) @ Shell Bell
Ability: Torrent
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Drill Peck

Here is Cobalt. As I stated earlier, he is my hazard setter. I always lead with him and immediately set up the rocks. He originally had Defog instead of Drill Peck in OU, but just like the Wish Blissey, Defog Empoleon was an event so I can't us it in VGC. When converting to VGC I remembered having major problems with fighting types seeing as about half of my team was weak to fighting. So I replaced Defog with Drill Peck to check any fighting types that switched in on me. Scald I have for STAB and its a good move to use against any pokemon and it has a good chance to burn. Ice beam is there for flying types and any grass types that switch in.

crobat.gif

X-Wing (Crobat) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Def / 212 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- U-turn
- Sludge Bomb
- Roost

Straight outta Star Wars we have X-Wing. He is here to check fairy types and to switch in on fighting types that switch in on Cobalt. Thats really all he is. He is good to switch in on a lot of pokemon. I mainly use him with my current Wish pokemon. Any damage done to him I U-Turn into the Wisher (In this case Vaporeon) and then I wish and switch out and all damage is healed from him. Acrobatics is there to check fighting types and then Sludge Bomb is there to check fairies. Defog was there originally, but Cobalt carried it so I replaced it. When I converted to VGC rules I knew Xerneas was a big threat so I ruled Sludge Bomb over Defog. Roost is there to regain health of my Wisher is to faint.

weavile.gif

Katana (Weavile) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick

Last of the team is Katana. She is my fast "sweeper". The reason I put the quotes around sweeper is that it is fast and can sweep, but I am never able to use it. Back in OU format, I was never able to start a sweep as scarfed fighting types would work the way against me and take me out. When I am able to sweep, I go for a Knock Off first as it does decent damage and does a lot of damage when the pokemon has its item. Ice shard is there for dragons as well as small damage to pokemon with low health or if she is about to die. Icicle Crash is there for STAB and does good damage. Low Kick is there because I don't know. I kinda just needed an extra move so I chose Low Kick.
So that is my team! I do realize there is A LOT wrong with seeing as I just converted from OU format to VGC format. I am also aware that I should put Defog on Crobat. I've battled with it on VGC rules and it hasn't done so well. So I need you guys to harshly critique it and help me make it better! Thank you guys so much!

I suggest you go online and look at other teams. This team just isn't very viable. You're missing the restricted legendaries which are a huge part of the meta.

You're trying to make a singles team work in a doubles format. You may want to go to nuggetbridge.com and looking at team reports.

I know I'm missing the legends. Thats the point. I don't want to use them as I can't get them in-game so I'm trying to make a viable VGC team without legendaries

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but if that's the case, you're going to have to rebuild this team from the ground up. You'll need a cloud nine user.

Also if your only reason for not using legendaries is your inability to get them in game I'd suggest going to the giveaways section of the forums to the giveaway hosted by Theorymon.

Okay. I'll be sure to get a cloud nine user. Should I pick one and then build around that or? And thanks for the giveaway thing. That will come in handy.

I don't have a lot of experience team building without legendaries, but I would probably use Golduck. The only other viable cloud nine user is Altria and he's just outclassed.
