zapdos.gif

DNA Donors: Hydregon + Zapdos
Offspring Name: Gonzap
Type: Dragon/Electric
Base Stats: 95 / 99 / 100 / 125 / 100 / 110 {+4HP, +2ATK, +13DEF, +10SPD, +11SPE}
New Ability: {Pressure+Levitate} G-Tolerance - This Pokemon is immune to moves with 1/2 or less of their PP remaining
Notable Moves: Outrage, Hyper Voice, Roar, Crunch, Dragon Pulse, Roost, Earthquake, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Focus Blast, Charge Beam, Stone Edge, Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail, U-Turn, Flash Cannon, Dark Pulse, Surf, Earth Power, Head Smash, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Aqua Tail, Draco Meteor, Heat Wave, Signal Beam, Superpower, Tailwind, Zen Headbutt, Ancient Power, Discharge, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge.
Role Description: Late-game cleaner, best paired with a defensive core to PP stall out the opponent's most powerful moves. Flexible enough to run mixed or even somewhat more defensive with Roost and Volt-Turn, Gonzap's coverage is also good enough to cover a wide variety of threats and build for the situation.
Design Ideas: The thunderbird has been depicted in several legends as having two heads, so that fits well here. There's also a lot of potential design overlap here, with Hydreigon's head frill mapping to Zapdos' jagged crest of feathers, the weird black ribbons on Gon and the black parts of Zap's wings, and the potential for an exploding dragon tail.

059-gif.60206

Parents: Bouffalant and Arcanine
Shared egg group: Field
Offspring name: Bouffanine
New Type: Normal/Fire
Base Stats: 102/120/97/80/97/85
New ability and desc: Reckless + Flash Fire = Reflex: Protects the Pokémon from opposing recoil and crash moves.
Notable moves: Extreme Speed, Swords Dance, Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Wild Charge, Head Charge, Crunch, Megahorn, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Poison Jab, Pursuit, Will-O-Wisp, Morning Sun
Role identification: Extremekiller 2.0! While it seems to be a watered-down version of the dreaded Uber, it has some perks going for it as well. It has a Fire typing which gives it a secondary wallbreaking STAB as well as a burn immunity. Its ability may look situational on paper but it protects Bouffanine from moves that would have knocked it out such as Head Smash and High Jump Kick.

registeel.gif

Parents: Dedenne/Registeel
Shared Egg Group: DNA
Offspring name: Dedsteel
New type: Steel/Fairy
New base stats: 80/66/110/78/124/75 (BST: 533, +7 HP, +17 Def, +16 SpD)
New ability and desc: Clear Pouch: When this Pokemon consumes a Berry, it regains 33% of its maximum HP and any negative stat changes are removed.
Notable Moves: Nuzzle, U-Turn, Toxic, Recycle, Flash Cannon, Discharge, Volt Switch, Stealth Rock, Super Fang, Rest
Role Description: This unlikely combination of Pokemon end up creating one of the toughest Pokemon in the tier. It has a move to almost anything: Nuzzle, Discharge and Toxic for status, U-Turn to grab momentum, Stealth Rock to support its team and Super Fang to take large chunks out of the enemy's HP. Although it lacks standard reliable recovery, between Sitrus Berry, Clear Pouch and Recycle it can emulate this, restoring 58% of your health while only taking up one moveslot and the itemslot. Steel/Fairy is fantastic defensive typing, and U-Turn means that this Pokemon can act as a fantastic pivot which is easy to support.
avalugg.gif
charizard.gif

Parents: Avalugg/Charizard
Shared egg group: Monster
Offspring name: Avaizard
New type: Ice/Fire
New base stats: 96 / 110 / 141 / 86 / 75 / 74
New ability and desc: Kindle (Ice Body - Blaze) - During hail, it's Fire moves are powered up by 1.5x and recovers 1/16 HP every turn.
Notable moves: Ice Fang, Thunder Punch, Avalanche, Earthquake, Rock Polish, Superpower, Flare Blitz, Crunch, Dragon Claw, Roost, Dragon Dance, Stone Edge, Swords Dance
Role identification: Well, here's an odd one. While it may have a horrendous weakness to Stealth Rock, among other common types, it's defense is actually pretty solid. Not to mention it's special defence and speed don't suck like Avulagg's. It's ability also helps out Hail a bit plus gives it a buff to it's fire moves and also has a nice form of recovery. It also has TWO mega evolutions.

avalugg.gif
charizard-mega-x.gif

Parents: Avalugg/Charizard
Shared egg group: Mega
Offspring name:
Mega Avaizard X
New type: Ice/Dragon
New base stats: 96 / 156 / 174 / 107 / 75 / 74
New ability and desc: Tough Claws
Notable moves: Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Ice Fang, Avalanche, Outrage, Superpower, Stone Edge, Iron Head, Thunder Fang, Flare Blitz, Roost, Thunder Punch, Swords Dance, Tailwind,
Role identification: Well, we now have a powerhouse here. Armed with a massive 156 Attack, with equally solid moves, great ability, and A new Ice/Dragon type in which Avaizard won't risk dying to Stealth Rock everytime. It's moves are pushed even further with Tough Claws, which also makes it's only good STAB if not running any defensive set, as it already has much better defense, actually decent. It can run a bit of mixed, but the other mega is for that job..

charizard-mega-y.gif

Parents: Avalugg/Charizard
Shared egg group: Mega
Offspring name:
Mega Avaizard Y
New type: Ice/Fire
New base stats: 96 / 130 / 141 / 136 / 105 / 74
New ability and desc: Drought
Notable moves: Fire Blast, Overheat, Rock Polish, Solar Beam, Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Roost, Ancient Power, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Surf, Stone Edge, Dragon Dance, Avalanche, Ice Fang, Flare Blitz, Superpower
Role identification: Same thing, but better. With still good bulk, and now the fact it can use special moves makes it much better in a way, that it's good. It still dies to Stealth Rock, but Roost with it's good bulk makes it a hard hitter. If it can manage to use Rock Polish, it can become a total monster. A great mega all around.
magcargo.gif
chandelure.gif

Parents:Magcargo + Chandelure
Shared Egg Group: Amorphous
Offspring Name: Cargolure
New Typing: Ghost/Fire
New Stats: 70/67/120/125/100/70
New Ability: Flame Body
Notable Moves: Shell Smash, Fire Blast, Shadow Ball, Earth Power, Energy Ball, Will O Wisp, Recover, Stealth Rock, Destiny Bond
Role Description: Cargolure seems like an average Pokemon at first, but combine its access to Shell Smash and its great offensive typing and Cargolure becomes a sweeping beast! Shell Smash makes it both very fast and very powerful, and with great coverage between its STABs and Energy Ball/Earth Power, it hits most of FE for neutral damage.
Discussion rule are the same as always:
  1. Analyze these abilities. Are they balanced? Can they be better?
  2. Help find the best moveset for them based on their new roles. Should it boost its Attack first? Is it a team supporter?
  3. Try to guess any checks or counters we might run into later, and if possible, see if one of the other fusions would make a good teammate to get past these counters.
  4. To expand on #3, which of these Pokemon can check/counter the earlier slates? How would they fit together on a team? How would they support each other?

Bouffanine is probably the easiest to come up with a moveset for so I'll start with it:

Bouffanine @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Ability: Reflex
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def or 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz
- Crunch/Earthquake/Megahorn/Morning Sun/Close Combat/Wild Charge/Stone Edge/Head Charge/etc.

Essentially just a variant on the Extreme Killer Arceus set from Ubers. Outside of Swords Dance and Extreme Speed which should be self-explanatory, Flare Blitz matches Bouffanine's secondary STAB type of Fire and allows it to break through most bulky Steel-types. After that, choose a filler move: Crunch and Morning Sun are probably your best bets to break through Ghosts and heal off recoil from Flare Blitz and Life Orb if that's your item of choice respectively, but Bouffanine has a variety of other moves at its disposal so feel free to choose what fits your team best. EVs are fairly simple; use the spreads listed if you want extra bulk or speed, respectively, but they're open to further tweaking if you so wish.

Alternatively, give it a Choice Band:

Bouffanine @ Choice Band
Ability: Reflex
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake/Stone Edge/Megahorn/Close Combat/Head Charge/Crunch/Pursuit/Poison Jab/Wild Charge
- Earthquake/Stone Edge/Megahorn/Close Combat/Head Charge/Crunch/Pursuit/Poison Jab/Wild Charge

(more to come)

I'm not absolutely sure that G-Tolerance is balanced, though I tend to overestimate how strong abilities are.

It was mentioned that Dedsteel can recover health with Recycle and Sitrus Berry, but it can also run Curse with that set with no major drawbacks. It's already slow, but Clear Pouch will clear the speed reduction.

With all the bulky Volt Switch and U-Turn users and Shaymode able to paralyze without losing momentum, you could put together a solid VoltTurn team where each member is immune to at least one thing the others aren't.

Might as well punch in my two cents.

Cargolure @ White Herb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Ability: Flame Body
Timid / Modest Nature
- Shell Smash
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Earth Power / Energy Ball

Cargolure's flagship (and only viable) set. The moves, ability and items are really explanatory. If one is running a Modest nature, Sticky Web support from Mega Sickle or Galvantulys is really appreaciated. If Timid, Spikes and SR can turn important 3HKOs into 2HKOs. Make sure priority on the opposing side is eliminated, as that might cut poor Cargolure's sweep really short.

Welp, RIP Metanlee making it in this round. Oh well, might as well add my opinions on the new 'mons.

With Zekrom's typing, good Special Attack and Speed stats, and nice bulk to go with it, Gonzap seems like it'll be fun in FE. I personally can see a 3 Attacks + Roost set on it, taking advantage of its Ability by healing off damage and forcing your opponents to use up their PP. Of course, a more defensive set could be used, but I'm just throwing in my opinion as an offense player.

Pretty self-explanatory, if I'm being honest here. Set up a Swords Dance and watch as Bouffanine tears apart the entire opposing team with Extreme Speed, Flare Blitz, and Earthquake (for Rock-types). Like Gonzap, this could be run more defensively, as well, since it has access to both Will-O-Wisp and Morning Sun. For the most part, though, you're going to want to use it for ESpeed.

I think that the only reason this was made and got enough votes is because everybody, including me, desperately wants Dedenne to be viable in some way. I think whoever made Dedsteel (which is a great name, BTW) definitely succeeded. Anyway, on to more serious discussion, Steel/Fairy is a pretty good defensive typing, and Dedsteel certainly has bulk. This is like the new best annoyancemon.

Has two pretty great Megas, each with their own niche. Mega X practically screams out Dragon Dance, and Mega Y can use Rock Polish and attack specially. Which of the two is better, I don't know, but both seem really fun.

A good offensive typing, for sure, but Cargolure's true claim to fame is its access to Shell Smash. 125 base Special Attack after a SS is gonna HURT, and 70 base Speed after a Smash isn't bad either. As for attacking moves, like G-Luke said, your best bet is Fire Blast/Shadow Ball/Earth Power or Energy Ball.

Well it was a good slate (rather short) but still great. Cant wait for the new submission slate. Im resubbing past fusions from the old thread, so if you spot your old fusion, hailing you from now.

Aqua is back up, actually! It's fairly deserted since not a lot of people seem to have noticed, but it's there. Didn't somebody already code most of the earlier fusions on there?
