ORAS OU First RMT Team! (1550 and climbing!)

Hey guys, and thank you for checking out my team! This is a team I made one night with a friend, and I think it's pretty good! I've played it against all playstyles, and it works well against it all. So let's get right into the team!

THE TEAM

clefable.gif

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
HP: 252/ Def: 172/ SpD: 84
Calm Nature
Moves:
Moonblast
Calm Mind
Soft-Boiled
Thunderbolt

Ah Clefable. Probably the best mon in OU right now. Anyways, this clef set is definitely effective as a bulky wincon because of Calm Mind. The EV spread makes clef as physically bulky as possible while giving it the SpDef to not be 2HKO'd by things like Mild LO Kyurem-B's Ice Beam and Mega Diancie's Moonblast. I'm running T-Bolt over flamethrower/fire blast because I feel that steel types are handled by other things, and that clef should only set up once its threats like scizor are gone. Also T-Bolt makes the Slowbro, Skarm, and Tran matchup MUCH easier. The rest of the set is self explanitory. Calm Mind to make clef very threatening, moonblast for STAB, and soft-boiled for recovery.

tornadus-therian.gif

Tornadus-T @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Atk: 4 / SpAtk: 252 / Spe: 252
Hasty Nature
Moves:
Knock Off
Hurricane
Heat Wave
Taunt

I have this tornadus here to be a fast, strong attacker that can also stall break due to taunt. In fact, tornadus destroys stall because of taunt, and while sableye can bounce back taunt, hurricane does 48% min roll. Also, sableye can be delt with by clef 1 on 1. I'm running heat wave over superpower or focus blast so i can hit Skarm, Scizor, and Klefki harder than the other 2 moves. I'm not running u-turn because of the abundance of rocky helmet things and the fact that its life orb over AV, I'll be losing more health than I'll be doing to them. Also, I tested it with u-turn, and I like having knock off more. Knock off is nice to deal chip damage while removing items like a LO from Latios and Lefties from tran. Overall a great partner to clef and a great team member.

keldeo-resolute.gif

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
SpAtk: 252 / SpDef: 4 / Spe: 252
Timid Nature
IVs: 1 Atk / 30 SpAtk
Moves:
Scald
Hidden Power Electric
Hydro Pump
Secret Sword

Keldeo. My least favorite of the swords of justice, but admittedly, its really good. This gives me an answer to common dark types like TTar, Weavile, and Bisharp. The scarf allows this to outspeed M-Diancie, M-Lopunny, M-Metagross, and Weavile. Scald is for a nice STAB move that can't miss and has the godly 30% chance to burn. HP Electric allows me to hit Slowbro and Azu on the switch. Hydro is there if I need to hit as hard as possible and scald won't do the job. Secret sword is here for STAB and to hit a bunch of types, like the common dark and steel types.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-T @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
HP: 252 / Def: 240 / SpDef: 8 / Spe: 8
Impish Nature
Moves:
Earthquake
U-Turn
Knock Off
Stealth Rock

Lando T. The most used mon in OU and for good reason. Lando is here to be a physical wall and a nice pivot to intimidate physical attackers to make them much weaker. Its also my stealth rocker and answer to sand offense, which destroys my team otherwise. This runs 8 in speed to outrun modest zone and EQ, and 8 SpDef to live mega mane's HP ice and hit back w/ EQ. The rest of the investment goes into HP and Defense to make it as bulky as possible. EQ is here for STAB and even with no attack investment, still hits decently hard. U-Turn is here for momentum. Knock off is to remove items from threats like Latios and Volcanion. Rocky helmet is to deal damage to opponents for touching you. Overall, Lando is a great team member.

metagross-mega.gif

Metagross (Mega) @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body (pre-mega) -> Tough Claws (mega)
Atk: 252 / SpDef: 4 / Spe: 252
Jolly Nature
Moves:
Pursuit
Zen Headbutt
Meteor Mash
Hammer Arm

Please welcome the mega on the squad and our answer to fairies, Metagross. This mega slot changed around multiple times, from Medicham, to Lopunny, and to Scizor, but now I feel that this is the mega that works the best for the team. With all of its moves getting a tough claws boost, this is a great physical attacker with pursuit trapping perks. This allows meta to pursuit trap the latis so that its easier for keldeo to operate. Pursuit also traps starmie as well. Zen headbutt is uncommon now for meta, but its nice for STAB and I can hit Quag, Rotom-W, and M-Venu. Meteor mash is also for STAB and hits fairies hard. Also has a rare chance to raise attack, which may just make mega meta be able to sweep. Hammer Arm is here to hit Bisharp, TTar, Tran, and Ferro.

latios.gif

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Def: 4 / SpAtk: 252 / Spe: 252
Hasty Nature
Moves:
Surf
Draco Meteor
Psyshock
Roost

The last member of the squad is Latios. This Latios is here to hit hard and check things like non-icy wind Keldeo and Volcanion. Surf is to surprise things like Tran, TTar, M-Diancie, and Lando-T. Draco Meteor is here to nuke anything that doesn't resist it or is immune to it. Psyshock rounds out the nearly perfect coverage that this set has. I have roost over defog since hazards aren't a huge issue and roost allows Latios to be alive longer and letting it be able to check Keldeo and Volcanion for longer. Latios rounds out the team very nicely.

THE THREATS

View attachment 65790

Quag is really annoying to this team. Because I lack a grass move, I have nothing super effective for it. I can set up CM's with clef, but it doesnt matter because of unaware. Although, Keldeo does big damage with Hydro.

View attachment 65791

M-Gardevoir gets one shot by M-Meta, but it takes 50% on switch in to hyper voice. The rest of my team is obliterated by hyper voice unless clef has a ton of CM boosts.

landorus-therian.gif

SD Rock Polish Lando is probably the biggest threat to this team, since it OHKO's everything on this team aside from my own Lando with only one SD. Also, Double Dance Lando beats defensive Lando 1 on 1.
I probably missed some other threats, but you get the point.

Well, I hope you enjoy my team! Feel free to use it all you like, and if you see anything wrong, let me know! Feedback is always appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi! You have a pretty standard offensive team but there are a few things that can be changed to make it better.

First, I noticed some threats for your team: Belly Drum Azumarill can set up on Landorus, Tyranitar and Clefable, your main way to stop it is a Latios with a -Def Nature and M-Metagross (which takes 70% min from +6 Aqua Jet). Bisharp also looks like a problem, it doesn't even need +2 for it to treathen your team and you don't have the best answers for it (your main check is Scarf Tyranitar). Max Attack Diancie is one of the most common sets right now, this set can be annoying for your team since your main switchin to it is M-Metagross (Clefable gets 2hko'd by Diamond Storm). Bulky Steel types like Ferrothorn and M-Scizor annoy almost your whole team since you have to rely on Tornadus-T to beat both. Weavile can be a problem to your team since you can't do anything to revenge kill it and your main way to beat it is Clefable which can get 2hkod if it's Choice Banded.

Scarf Keldeo >
248.png
Tyranitar:
Tyranitar wasn't doing much for your team since you already have Clefable as a switchin to Latios and Metagross + Tornadus-T checks it too. The only thing that Tyranitar did for the team was revenge kill Bisharp, Keldeo does that too and more. It gives you a better check to Bisharp since it resists both of its stabs and gives you a check to Weavile which was a big problem before. This also beats offensive and defensive M-Zor if it decides to set up. Scarf lets it outspeed M-Diancie, Weavile and M-Lopunny so it can revenge kill them. HP Electric is a nice option since it gives you another check to BD Azumarill.

376-mega.png
Pursuit > Bolt Beam:
With Tyranitar out of the team you rely on Clefable + Metagross to be your switchins to Latios, Pursuit is a good option here since it supports Scarf Keldeo by trapping the Lati's so that way you have a more reliable way of beating them. Zen Headbutt is there so you can OHKO Keldeo and to hit Zard-Y and Zard-X for more damage. You can choose between Hammer Arm or Ice Punch as the last move based on what you want to hit, Hammer Arm hits Tran + Ferro and Ice Punch hits Lando + Chomp.

Minor Changes:
381.png
Surf > Earthquake:
You said that you chose EQ because it lured Heatran. Surf is a much better option in my opinion, you don't have to run a -Def Nature and it still 2HKOs Heatran, it also helps vs some scenarios such as: not risking the drop vs Landorus, being able to hit Tyranitar for more damage and OHKOing HP Fire M-Diancie (which is a lot more common right now) taking advantage of being able to outspeed it.

036.png
Thunderbolt > Thunder Wave:
As you can see, without BoltBeam Metagross and Tyranitar, Slowbro can be annoying to deal with since you rely on Latios and Taunt Tornadus to beat it, Thunder Wave doesn't really help your team since you don't need the speed control because you have Scarf Keldeo to deal with Lopunny and Weavile. Thunderbolt is a nice to way to pressure Slowbro 1v1 as it forces it to heal more often, that way you have a better chance to win Calm Mind Wars. It also supports M-Metagross because you can lure Skarmory.
