You could argue that for a lot of things in pokemon, such as the complexity of all the hidden factors in the game to be taken to account, like IVs and breeding oh and all of the ridiculous things that some NPCs have said over the years (look in the other thread)

Look at The Heartless Dictator picture on the last page, it's clearly Nest Balls. I first thought they were Safari Balls too, so it's an easy mistake.
Yeah Serebii has updated it to say Nest Balls instead of Safari Balls so that was probably a misunderstanding on his part.

Not only that, but Wallace's ORAS outfit should pretty much shutdown any complaints of risque clothing in Pokemon.
Also, I don't know whether it was intentional or not, but does anyone think the eyes of the skulls on Team Skull's mask and Guzma's sunglasses look like a sun and crescent moon? It's a pretty cool design choice if it was intentional.
Assuming the Pokemon shown in the trailer have uniform IVs, Surfchu is going to be at least as fast as regular Raichu. That's a good sign.
Can't say I expected the vast majority of recent reveals. Gamefreak as always are going above and beyond expectations.

Now that the official video came out I will say what I think about the new info:
A-Raichu, It has the right typing, there is already Tapu koko and Deddene with Electric/Fairy and while Raichu is also in the Fairy egg group at the end it isn't that bad we got a Electric/Psychic as it's new, it's only full stoped by itself or ground/dark. It has a good design too if A-Raichu obtains Electric terrain as a move it would round it up even if Tapu koko could fix that issue.
A-Marowak, can't be hit by Normal offensive moves, Fighting or any electric move, it can't be paralized or burnt by usual means...not even trapped with abilities like shadow tag or arena trap since now is a ghost type. It's definetly good potentially to say the least.
Wishiwashi is just awesome If it only needs to be in a certain lv to use School form which I think it's not a bad thing while it does revert to single after more than half of the damage is dealt is bad it something that can be fixed with support so no worries.
Pyukumuku has a good ability and is kind of cute but it doesn't look to be really strong aside from that it's just a sea cucumber after all.
A-Meowth is okay I guess nice type nice ability in technician it should also have a nice movepool like normal meowth but it doesn't show anything that impressive aside of swag in every move.
Wait a second A-meowth is breed by royalty...and because it's a meowth it can attack throwing gold coins with Pay day...This A-meowth is in a whole new level of royalty, the one that slaps people that isn't royalty with money D: that must feel humiliating more than being hit by Gutz using the Dragonslayer from a sea cucumber pokemon :(
Trainers or at least Team skull also use a diferent type of ball other than Pokeballs to send out pokemon to battle it's a nice detail.
Morelull looks cute same typing as Whimsicott but I think it will have a well diferentiated movepool to make it unique I think it uses spore which is nice the abilities are not that amazing but still effect spore is better than illuminate as we know it now.

I was expecting the mushroom to be Poison Fairy, a brand new interesting combo ... Missed opportunity I guess
Now that the leaks were confirmed, I like how Electric Terrain-focused abilities are coming up this gen (Hope it's the same for other terrains) though I'm kinda... worried at the competitive fact the most viable user of physical Electric-type moves is not an Electric-type Pokemon.

It's a shame Alolan Raichu's ability is so amazingly terrible for such a ridiculously cool-sounding name... oh well. I'll hope for decent stat re-allocation, but right now both it's ability and typing have been huge disappointments, especially when this is such a great design and it's first real buff ever. I mean come on, why not electric/fairy or electric/water? Complete joke.

1. We don't even know if Electric Terrain will be good yet. A single Pokémon - which shares it's main typing with Raichu - has the setter ability, a single Pokémon revealed so far (this Raichu) has an ability that benefits from it, and we don't even know if there'll be an item that extends it. For all we know it could be as shitty as hail.
2. It's useless in-game. Don't tell me you're going to use Electric Terrain in-game, because you're not. You're just not. It's annoying when an ability is so specific to one playstyle that isn't used in-game.
3. The last time Terrakion was relevant was pre-bank XY

edit: and before I forget the last thing Raichu needs is another speed buff. It's fast as hell enough, it doesn't exactly need an ability to help it.

And if you don't care about competitive, abilities don't really matter much. :x
I kind of doubt a design like that leads it to having it's speed lowered drastically to give it a ton of Attack/Special Attack, which is what it actually needs.
Just because I don't do competitive doesn't mean I won't be doing multiplayer.
When it comes to moral debates, I do not think Gamefreak has positioned itself with conservative values and I think that's great.
Let's not forget about Beauty Nova, the Transgender trainer in XY Battle Maison.

politics should stay the heck out of here please. Pokemon is apolitical af because it reaches everybody and I mean everybody. Can't make money if you only breach to one certain type. Stuff like the Hong Kong controversy doesn't rake in fans, it just sparks controversy in a negative light for the company. It's what makes this game great, though. You meet all kinds of people with all kinds of differences and all meet up for the enjoyment of a game!
