im still incredibad at playing forum Mafia, but is MeowMiXXX pushing lynch D1 good? I mean, randlynching gives reads, but in a theme where nobodies supposed to die early, doesn't that defeat the purpose? please lead us village leader VPP

We have NINTEY SIX HOURS. We don't need to give up and vote no lynch but we do need to start using our time effectively.

Now look, I don't know a lot of you guys very well, but maybe some of you know each other through PS! or just as friends? Let's break a little ice here. For each person that you know you can either say something that pings you or ask them a question that may help you indicate their alignment. I'll start.

VPP does what I expect personality wise but could stand to contribute more outside of posturing. I don't think you need to wait for literally everyone to speak to give thoughts, esp since no one is talking about anything. What kind of topics do you want to see discussed?

Yeti's got the Bantz and nothing else. Willing to tunnel on inactives etc. Out of all the one posters who do you most want to see expand their thoughts and why?

rssp1 makes nothing comments, the most notable of which is the one about leading. Why do you feel like someone always ends up leading, and how do you feel about VPP's more direct approach?

Haruno was pretty insightful in DBZ, I just want him to post more atm.

Nomark going to no lynch over nothing is way paranoid. Dude we have 96 hours for Day 1. Why do you feel like Haruno was in danger?

I really don't want to be pulling teeth all game just to get people to talk, show a little initiative.

vpp/shub/former/champ/gme are all from various ps rooms
i dont just feel like someone ends up leading, someone always DOES end up leading. Its generally whoever cares the most about the game. VPP's direct approach is weird since ive never seen him do that, but ive also never seen him play a non-anonymous forum game before.

blazade please answer every question you posed to other people (if you want to wait until after they've answered go ahead)

I already answered my question to you, I don't share Nomark's sentiment so that question doesn't make sense bounced back at me. I also flat out said the answer to my question to Yeti was Haruno, and as for my question to VPP I want to see people taking their own initiative to help start discussion with people they've already played games with. More concretely, I want to see meta and dynamics discussed as they relate to admittedly small events going on right now.

tbh i just feel guilty about killing haruno d1 in double pin, it's less paranoia and more wanting everyone to get a chance to play. Unvote, I can feel me start to play dangerously stupid

Dude, don't fear to vote someone if you think that someone is scum.

Also guys, let's not forget our town-night kill ability. Once when we think that someone is scum, we can simply use that power on someone. That can actually help us confirm town.

Ok I have a plan. It could be that dangerously stupid post (or this could be, idk), so I'm gonna sleep on it.

As for topics to discuss, I would like to see how we would coordinate a mob justice. The target can see it coming, so it seems like a weaker lynch. Alternatively, we could have an agreement to each justice out biggest scumread each night. It's less efficient, but more secretive. There are probably other strategies that I'm not thinking of.

G'night.

what do you guys think about the possibility of scum protective&disruptive roles? If those exist it may not be a good idea to coordinate attacks in-thread, and rather just have people go for the targets that they think are scummy (although people may opt to use their power roles instead. Maybe we could just decide on whether we want to use mob justice in-thread ahead of time, but not name the targets?)

In theory street justice is as fallible as a mislynch, but less risky. The reward (All 4 in the group are town + target is scum) is a BPV and the knowledge that they can be killed the next night, is balanced by (Target is town) in which our street justices are just helping us lose and wasting street justices+night actions and (Mafia is in a team targeting another mafia) in which the street justice won't work and we'll know why and can lynch to fix.

Asking even confirmed town to give up their night action in thread or any kind of volunteer system sounds like PR fishing to me but based on the way street justice is structured there is really no other way to coordinate it properly.

This sounds like something we take as it comes, once there's a bit more structure to the game, definitely useful as a clearing or cleanup tool but not something we should be forcing on people when we don't even have lynch targets.

VOTE: MeowMiXXX

And you think that goin with a random vote, if there is no vote, is a good choice?

ANY VOTE IS BETTER THAN NO VOTE ON D1. VOTECOUNTS AND FLIPS ARE THE ONLY TRUSTWORTHY EMPIRICAL INFORMATION WE HAVE AND NO LYNCHING ONLY SERVES TO PURPOSEFULLY DENY INFORMATION TO THE TOWN

ALSO:

Glhf everyone. We might have the potential to win d1 if we guess right (lynch and two street justices), but we also have the potential for there mislynches.
/obvious
Also pleading with yeti to spare me

NOMARK DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THE GAME SETUP THAT WE DO NOT? ? ?

Nope. Any vote isn't better than no vote. What if we kill a rolecop?

I agree with Blazade on this point. organizing works fantastically when we've got OC and a definitive town leader who can organize those who have expendable night actions without letting the Mafia know of it. however, when anything we plan out has active input from the Mafia, how much can we trust what we decide on?

Also, again, should we lynch for trolling? lurking? too heavy a presence? I've got no clue what any of your scum tells are.
