I'm not really buying into the hype they're trying to build with Z-Moves either, but maybe it'll be better when we know more about them. Megas were just so much more exciting than this though...

Alolan Ratata looks better than the original at least, but my faves stay being paid dust. -__-

How did I know Alolan Rattata was gonna be dark type?..(LEAKS)

Pulverising pancake sounds kinda lame but funny at the same time!

How will we get the Munchlax if we purchase it early?

Exactly the same way as the Torchic was for XY and the Beldum was for ORAS, download on Wifi when the game comes out.

Kinda disappointed how little info we got, but it's interesting they are referencing real world events with Yungoos and Rattata. Should be interesting to see how far that actually goes. I have Z-ero interest in Z-Moves. I don't see the point in them. A lot of moves already have a decent chance at OHKO's. Why waste your item slot on a super powerful move which KO's just one Pokemon anyway? :|

Pretty cool news. We're getting RockRuff's evo in a little over a week so I don't mind we got pretty little in the direct. I liked the new Z-moves info. Interesting there'll be Pokemon specific Z attacks. I just really hope we'll have the option to skip the animation for them. Snorlax's Z-move lasts forever.

EDIT: Scratch that! The next piece of info is in only 5 days! https://twitter.com/SerebiiNet/status/771358166756028416

Z moves are incredibly useful for VGC since turning situations to 2v1 are game changing in an arena with only 4 Pokemon with two sent at a time, not the same case for OU but they care about VGC more. I wouldn't be surprised if these broke through protect because if there is one thing you can learn from Shadow Force some over the top moves they don't want you to just protect from, I hope to god it's not like power herb sky attack on protect lol.

I think like how gen 6 starters had their signature moves, the gen 7 starters will have their own signature moves. I guess that's neat if it happens. Seems to be what they're hinting at.

So far I'm not really feeling the mechanics of Z-moves. That being said, the name of the moves are intense af. Also, the look in snorlax' eyes when the z-move triggers. Priceless

So I just saw the new trailer. Snorlax's Z-Move is probably the funniest thing I've seen today, and Alolan Rattata is looking pretty cool although I'm not sure if I'll actually use it. The inclusion of exclusive Z-moves is interesting though, makes me wonder if the Kanto starters will get any. Probably not, but it's an idea.

I'm liking the idea of exclusive Z-moves, but it's unfortunate that it takes up an item slot. Snorlax would still much prefer something like Leftovers; but hey, should at least be fun. Especially when Snorlax and Alola-Raichu's look so awesome.

Alolan Rattata is so dumb with it's little moustache. Love it. And I like that tie-in with Yungoos; it's these little things that bring the universe to life, y'know?

Ring Ring! Gen 5 called! It wants to remind you about the Gem meta again

For me exclusive z-moves are the nail on the coffin for new megas. No news so far, and they'll likely focus on the new feature (that's not to say they're removing old ones, please)

Don't really care about Alolan Rattata, though at this rate the only Kanto normal-types left will be Snorlax, Tauros, and Kangaskhan haha.

Snorlax's Z move is hilarious. The gleaming eyes do it.

Well, I was wrong, which isn't bad in this case, we did get the release date on more info like I figured, so not completely wrong. Now to wait for Lunch so I can watch some of the Nintendo Direct. (Non-pokemon, but SMM for 3ds sounds like something i need.)

Is it me, or does Alola Rattata kinda look like Gomez Addams? Idk why, but that was the first thought upon seeing the Mousetache. And Z-crystals that are specific to certain Pokemon seems interesting, and if you think about it, is the Most Likely case for Zygarde being able to use Core Enforcer. It also gives Snorlax a Normal Z-Move that makes more sense and fits thematically.

Now on to the questions these raise: 1. Does this mean there's a specific Snorlax Z-Crystal to go with it, or would you just need to get the Normal-Type Z-Crystal to use it? 2. I will go back to double check this during lunch, but iirc The names displayed for the Z-Moves have all been in one color. Stoked Sparksurfer was shown in 2 colors, Yellow and Blue. Does this mean it is a Water/Electric Dual-type attack? 3. Is Stoked Sparksurfer Alola Raichu exclusive or Raichu in general? I'm pretty sure the former, but the latter would be interesting.

Wasn't expecting any news at all, honestly.

Alolan Ratatta is lame, but at least it's good meme fodder and gives more credence to one of the leaks we got.

The Ghost Z-Move that Gengar used looks awesome. It kind of reminds me of an attack used by the final boss of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

While Alolan Rattata looks cool, I just see a massive 4x weakness to fighting. Sure its Immune to ghost and psychic, but that fighting weakness is going to hurt.

I wonder how Alolan Raticate looks.

That move reminded me a lot of Gengars special in Pokken Tournament
