Well I don't really have the best of editing software, so you're gonna have to deal with MS Paint ^^; try to look at the original image while checking this.

Here is the locations of the triangle from the watch to the book.

Here is an attempt to see what it would look like if the diamonds were further extended, like the Z ring.

And here is my shoddy, shaky attempt of drawing the new lines from the Z ring and putting it on the book, with the diamond outlines included.

For the first once, the negative space doesn't count as side triangle because clearly they lead to other areas unlike what you're trying to show with the Z-Ring

Note I said the diamond was a shared similarity, although it was different in style (Curves VS Lines).

Drawing "new" lines. Doesn't new defeat the purpose of the comparison if your having to make new stuff?

What I'm trying to say is just because they're are an extremely small number of vague similarities does not mean that they are related.

tbh...

stretch.jpg

Colress didn't make an apperance in XY even though his whole thing was about unleashing the full potential of pokemon; he's got no business making an apperance now. The book pattern is one big stretch at best. Like I said, you'd have a case for yourself back in XY, but now you difinitely do not.

I'll admit, its a theory worthy of scrutiny, especially with all the other leaks flying around. I just don't believe GF would leave these random bits of info just for giggles. Colress and the new mystery group appeared in Kalos few years ago, and now a few years later the new Aether foundation is all about researching pokemon and conducting experiments. I dunno, it just seems like the most logical candidate for a comeback.

Plus Culress and the Aether crew all have hair that defies logic. It's a match made in heaven.

They both appeared in Kalos for distinct reasons, maybe? For instance, we could both go to Europe but we wouldn't nescessarily be going together. If anyone, the most logical character to make a come back would be Looker given how we still don't know how he lost his memory, and that's it. Everyone else is a toss-up.

I doubt that'll ever get revealed... But as an International Police Officer, Looker making an apperance wouldn't be unexpected. Plus it's always a treat. He has the one of the best theme songs.

And green eyes.
I thought they looked green until i found a better pic. They appear to be yellow.

i have a theory about type: null

type: null is actually an interpretation of arceus. the ones that created it were people that disliked being held at arceus' every whim due to it being the creator of everything. so they spliced together type: null with aspects that made it a step ahead of arceus from all previous recorded encounters they had with arceus in hopes of beating it. however, when they finally finished it, type: null instantly rebelled against its creators and tried to kill everyone in a burst of rage like mewtwo, for they failed to give it a compassionate heart. this explains why type: null has the helmet on that resembled arceus' pinwheel near the base. its a failed experiment to recreate it. they release type: nulls into the wild since they're not that much of a problem as long as the helmet is attached (aka fused onto it by cruel and brutal means)

gladion however was type: null's exception. he didn't treat it like a slave, he showed it compassion which is how he was able to take one with him. he was type: null's exception and with his kindness its hard heart softened ever so slightly to the point where type: bull didn't mind him commanding it (which is why he had one in battle) and they bonded as normal trainers and pokemon do.

addition part to my theory
ultra beasts are creatures that suddenly appeared in the human realm from another dimension for exploration. they learned to mimic the actions of humans to try and make themselves seem less suspicious, especially if they can shape shift. team aether discovered them first and offered them protection.

Whatever connection Type: Null may or may not have with Arceus, your theory doesn't really match up to what we know: the helmet doesn't limit T:0's power and it doesn't allow for control of its actions, The English site says "control its latent powers," but it's conceptually supposed to be used in the sort of way someone would place a device to Psyduck to make it more potently psionic - and focused/purposeful - than it otherwise would be. And I don't think they're going to rehash Mewtwo's whole schtick either. And even in the case of Mewtwo, they aren't going to pull the "doesn't have a heart" trope for any Pokemon since it directly clashes with their message and philosophy. Not to mention, if they failed to give T:0 a compassionate heart, it wouldn't matter if Gladion treated the Pokemon like a slave or not - under your general theory, T:0 would destroy him at the first opportunity.

I think Lusamine is witnessing Ultra Beasts for the first time along with the player character. She has the exact same expression of surprise and awe as both the two kids in the shot, and Pokemon has been very consistent with the new 3D games to give foreshadowingly different facial expressions on characters like Lysandre.

I'm also pretty sure that Gladion is an angsty teen/young adult with a chip on his shoulder and a desire for strength and power in order to prove something or somehow come out on top. Gladion's Type:Null may very well also be the literal only one of its kind per game universe, and it never receives a proper Dex value or number despite for all intants and purposes, being a Pokemon.

I'd love an official pronunciation of it, since depending how you approach it there's quite a few variants. Is "-", specifically "o-o" (and (OuO) to you too!) used in Hawaiian? Or maybe there's another language it definitely draws from (possibly even English, but that doesn't help much). I have absolutely no idea. I refuse to say it at all until I know for sure, sooooo-o many pitfalls D:

To clarify, I meant the sound of "mow" is in "Mow"-Rotom (but shorter) not the sound as in "cow".
I wonder if Jangmo-o's evolutions will keep the theme going with the name endings.
It's so distinctive it would almost be strange if the evos' names weren't.

I can totally buy Type:Null being a failed recreation of Arceus or that at least Aether was trying to create a mon based off Arceus. They have a similar body and share normal as a type. The ring around T:0's neck though is the biggest indicator they have at least some connection. It looks like an incomplete version of Arceus'.

Wow the game just looks really good graphic wise. I'm super hyped for Moon. I'm going to buy a 2DS just for this. (Well, and Omega Sapphire and Y :p)

I don't know what it is, but that yellow haired chick is genuinely attractive. I don't know what it is, I hate diva type girls but something about the splash and that personality does make her rather pretty. Though she's for sure going to be the main antagonist I'm calling it yo.
Yeah I agree, the Aether Foundation is definitely up to no good.

- Femme fatale-looking boss check
- Unscrupulous scientist-looking second-in-command check
- Simply sounds way too good to be true check

I know I shouldn't be judging the book by its cover but, uh, yeah...
Also, there's the thing with Gladion displaying what seems to be genuine concern for your pokemon, which raises yet another red flag if the predictions of him being related to Lusamine turn out correct ( and I do think they will ). Why would he oppose her?
It is also worth noting that the president said "Pokémon from other worlds", not regions.

Another fun little trivia is that in Fire Emblem games 'Aether' is a combination of both Sol and Luna AKA Sun and Moon. So for those who were wondering what team Skull could possibly want Solgaleo or Lunala for ( given how they look and act like nothing more than simple ruffians), well, I say that the Aether Foundation is the one who's truly after them.

She is an unholy fusion of Cynthia(meh honestly), Elesa(cool stuff) and Caitlin(FUCK YEAH NOW WE ARE TALKING) in glorious TRIGGER like art.

Yep, for a drawing she is indeed quite attractive.

But seriously I hope she is the badguy and not the unwitting pawn to the dragon. We really need a villainess in this franchise and she is the Golden opportunity.

I don't really care at all about the female villain part (I would give examples other than Shelly but I genuinely don't care about that part sorry lol) I'm just going to be sad that she sounds nice rn but at the end of it she's probably going to be an asshole and probably a snitch.

If Guzma ends up being a chill af good guy though it will easily make up for it!

Guzma is boss, we know that already, but seriously I really want Lusamine to be an irredeemable bastard, and not just another misguided goal enemy, I don't want her to be one upped be her dragons just because she has a nice model, I really want her to go down the Cyrus or Lysadre path.

Seriously if they made Wicke or the Doctor the true bad guys and spare Lusamine as the misguided one I'm going to flip my shit as they are just saving her out of her nice design... Also Wicke is nice, let's show some appreciation for the Thickness in her design and the floppy uniform.

My own suspicion is that for the most part, the Aether Foundation IS good and noble. At least, the "grunts", and probably Wicke, are. It's just being manipulated by one of its higher-ups, either Lusamine or Faba, who's also manipulating Team Skull, perhaps through Gladion.

Not to mention that given the alchemy theme, Aether fits in--that's a name for the quintessence, the "fifth element" that is perfect in and of itself. Neither hot nor cold, neither dry nor wet. I don't know if creation of life (q.v. Type: Null) was ever a goal of alchemy, besides creating the immortality-granting Philosopher's Stone, but perhaps Aether's ulterior motive is researching divinity for its manipulator, with the Ultra Beasts being some sort of side effect (Lillie was a guinea pig?).
