oh right i feel this should've been said earlier but if you are disguise artist, for the love of god do not CC aura guardian because you're one of the most important roles for village.
 
fine. I figured out that Percival was following Josh in specific ways that only Percival would (and shouldn't, for that reason). Not gonna out what it was to the mafia, though, just that I spotted said interactions, and given their opinions/comments/etc. re: Hitmonleet, it wasn't hard to realize there was a solid link between them, and not of the watcher/tracker pair. They weren't coordinated or discoordinated in the right way to be cooperating/faking not. Which meant I knew which was which easily enough, based on the direction of this pattern.

And not responding to the by hitmonleet's posts thing b/c I'm 50-50 on Texas vs Twin as scum #2 given their recent interactions.

Percival wasn't taking a 50-50 and getting rid of a solid defense. Nor had he provoked me to simmering rage where I had to step back lest I do something stupid. Admittedly, tonight's conversation is something I should have stepped back from, but the time pressure...

As for the post just made:

Thetwinmasters / Hitmonleet / ... given post quality, gonna say Haruno.

Answer this why did you think outing josh as merlin was a good idea?
 
Because I was frustrated at him taking the 50-50 for what wasn't actually a reason, got riled up, found the time pressure. I was restraining myself, and hinting that it would be better to approach from another angle (or trying to), then... stress really does make horrible ideas sound good. I snapped.

And, before I snap and out Percival, too, I'm going to sign off from smogon. I'll try and wake up before deadline, but given my sleep habits lately, I can't promise

tl;dr damage control to avoid scumslip
 
Y'all are always so damn fast to dismiss the human element. Aura's posts are screaming genuine and emotional. He may well deserve to be lynched on policy but if he flips town some of you need to reevaluate your approach because this is a pattern in smogon NOC now where human reactions are used as confirmation bias to reinforce the scumhunting. It's happened to Dentricos, happens to Oddish every game, and it's nearly happened to me every game I've been in before (I'm just better at defending myself than they are). This shouldnt change the vote today considering aura's missteps but some of you definitely need to rethink your strategies.

I'm pretty confused rn because I see all these extremely shady posts from blankslate/auraguardian/texas at a time when daychat should make scum somewhat in control of the discussion so either they are obvious scum or something is up with the people taking turns to take advantage of what would be suicidal townies.

Well since this game is going so well

I'm merlin my people are aura asek hitmonleet and moody

I wasn't gonna claim but aura is probs town and game threw so let's see how lynching 2 scum works out. Looks like we get to try it this way after all! I would've played earlier different in hindsight, silly old drunk me. I think it's asek and Hitmonleet. Let's lynch asek first. No we shouldn't policy lynch aura we have lynch for kills let's use it, vig can deal with the non lynched one (hitmonleet/Moody gut says Hitmonleet)

looks like we're going with my original plan after all o_o. Aura is still likely scum but this is looking better. You being merlin doesn't change that per se. Mafia has to 50-50 between the disguise artist/bg. If they outright kill the 2 + josh, then you can be sure that they're next. Out of the list though, the most likely scum is still

Aura > hitmonleet > moody > asek. It's up to us to decide how to proceed however. BG should 100% be on josh tonight since losing merlin is huge and if we can get both mafia then we'd be in a very good position.
