[OVERVIEW] *updated*

In sun and moon snorlax takes another spin utilizing the z moves to become an unstoppable juggernaut through a very specific method. Having him on a trick room team is essential as this set utilizes trick room to its highest potential. On the turn that the trick room is used belly drum must be in effect, and with the inverted speed a Z stockpile will bring snorlax back to full health with the raised status leaving you ready.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- return is your primary STAB after using belly drum with its base 100 power. If you are going for pure damage and have a way to check the burn aliment. It's high in damage and can sweep teams when used with the belly drum. Body slam could be used but paralysis on an enemy in trick room may return to bite you, so it's better to stick with the higher damage and just ko them.

- Facade is your primary STAB move after using belly drum and stockpile as it will likely TKO most anything that is not resistant to it or buffed for defense. This if you do not have a counter to status aliements as you will likely be burned after restoring your HP, it is a great way to unleash the full force of snorlax.

- Stockpile is the biggest buff snorlax could have wished for in combination with the NormaliumZ as it immediately restores you to full health and with higher defences.

-Belly Drum is what Snorlax must use to get his attack ready for combat on the first turn followed by Z Stockpile on the second turn. Or if you can predict that snorlax will be attacked first you can use Z Belly Drum to put you back to full so that you can use belly drum properly without fail. But unless you have inverted the speed with trick room this is a risky play.

-Earthquake/High Horsepower is the second move for Snorlax to use to attack as it is super effective against so many pokemon. Earthquake is the recommended move if you properly prepare the rest of your team with Telepathy/Protect/Air Balloon/Levitate/Flying type. But High Horsepower is a great alternative if you want to maximize damage against a single target at the slight change it will miss because of 95% accuracy.

*Crunch is another move Snorlax has acess to which may prove useful if you are expecting a ghost type with Levitate to be on the opponents team. As Facade and ground type attack would not harm them this would trample them.

Set Details
========

*Using Z Stockpile after ussing belly drum will immediately put you back to full health and with 6+ attack and 1+ Def/Special Defence. This is almost overpowered if it was not for its Fighting type weakness

*Being able to restore it's HP to full with belly drum as if you had no damage before hand is a great move

*With its high HP and high Special Defense along with Thick Fat Snorlax should be able to tank most hits until he is all set assuming you have him on a trick room team.

*when put onto a trick room team Snorlax is an absolute powerhouse that will trample most opponents

Usage Tips
===========

*Investing in Hp and Def is a must for this set as if you do not Snorlax will be KO'd before you can use this belly drum set

*With its naturally high Special defense in combination with Thick Fat it is more than likely to survive any special attack thrown at it before it is properly set up unless it is an aura sphere Lucario or a Focus blast Alakazam.

*Snorlax also makes a great meat shield against most non super effective attacks for a switch in with its defences.

Team Options
============

*Oranguru is a perfect match for this set, with it using trick room to inverse the speed, psychic terrain to stop priority attacks, and instruct so that snorlax can keep attacking; it's a good combination. Also with the psychic normal typing it does not share the same weakness as Snorlax but gets the same immunity to ghost. But careful with the instruct as it will fail if you use it afterm snorlax uses a Z move as Z moves are not repeatable by instruct.

*Tapu fini is another great team mate for Snorlax to have because of its usability and outstanding ability of bringing the misty terrain to the field. Because the misty terain prevents status aliements Snorlax is free to sweep a team with a more powerful stab of Return as opposed to Facade

*Trick room is what Snorlax was made for, with have a base 30 speed it goes from slow to fast and ready for action

*a ghost type pokemon to switch into if a fighting pokemon comes out to play with snorlax

*basically anything that will keep a fighting type like buzzwole or pheremosa off of Snorlax before he is set up and ready to go

Check and Counters
==================

*Fighting types have and always will be the bane of a Normal type pokemon, as fighting type moves are so comon on more teams for their effectiveness against so many types

*Taunt will absolutely stop this snorlax set dead in its tracks, which is why having a utility or supporting pokemon as its team mate will likely cause your opponent to taunt that pokemon instead of Snorlax allowing you to set up one of its status first.

*Tapu Bulu will stop the pwer of Snorlax earthquake attack by half against an enemy team with the grassy terrain. So use your primary stab until the terrain goes away

*Gengar has and always wI'll be a viable option for its move set and status, but against this set it is the pokemon immune to both of snorlax's main attacks making it impossible to hurt and the perfect counter for Belly Quake set.

Comments
==========

If you all have anything major that you think needs to added or changed on this recommendation please feel free to comment, this is my first shared set and want to e sure that I am following the proper tags and such to ensure this is properly avalible.

- While Facade sounds good, its still quite situational especially to be listed as primary STAB move of choice. Just using Tapu Fini negates problem with burns. Thats why i think Return should be primary option as its over 30% stronger when Lax isnt burned. Tapu Fini should be mentioned on Team Options, due to this. If anything Facade probably should be OO.

- I think that a 2nd set with Gluttony, one of 50% healing berries (i use Iapapa but has Brave nature than this one so dunno which one exactly) and Protect instead of Stockpile should be mentioned aswell, with maybe little more offensive spread, too. If lax uses Belly Drum it will gain full health in instant after using it, which is quite nice. And you can still use Z-move on other mon so by this alone i think this set should be there as separate set.

- Curse + more offensive spread should be mentioned in OO for 2nd set, as it turns Lax into effective TR-counter as after 1 Curse it will be slowest Pokemon in the meta, and with combination of bulk + protect it can stall TR or attack with boosted Atk.

- I think Body Slam should be mentioned in OO but its not as good anymore as Paralysis in general has been nerfed quite alot so even many Paralyzed Pokemon are faster than lax.

I agree that return and body slam pose more pwerfull stab moves, most of the time when I use this set earthquake is used first and after which burn is used against snorlax because the opponent fears the attack stat. Also Z Belly drum restores you to full then half's your HP so either way you ate at the halfway point.

But you are right about the tapu fini preventing the status aliment

Not going to go through the process of rejecting this, just locking. Please read the reservation thread before attempting an analysis. The set you've provided has demonstrated you have a poor knowledge of Snorlax's place in the VGC '17 metagame, and that's aside from the fact that you failed to post in the reservation thread and follow the proper analysis format. Please lurk more and don't reserve another analysis for at least another three days.
