Pokemon that should(n't) have (pre)-evolutions

I always thought there should be an evolution between Magikarp and Gyarados. Seems like too much of a jump to me. Just like how there's Bagon -> Shellgon -> Salamence. Bagon -> Salamence would make less sense.
 
Don't you get it, Smoochum symbolizes the time while Jynx is in childhood. Then it grows up, and soon starts full filling its role as a Frostitute.
 
Jynx needs an Evo, like an old woman... I can't understand why Magmar and Electabuzz have got an evo, and she hasn't. They allways went together in evos and stats IMO. They appeared in the first gen, and their preevos in the second gen: magby, elekid and smoochum. What was Game Freak thinking about when they didn't created an Jynx evo?
 
Miltank needs an evolution.

Why? Because, if the evolution can have scrappy, and the ability can change when getting it from D/P and evolving, then its possible to have a selfdestructer that hits ghosts! (SD is an XD move tutor)

but this difference between karm and gyra is wanted :D from a little shitty one, at a treatening beast :) like feebas and milotic, ugly...beauty
form me too much evolution or pre evolution are simples bullshits... :/ even if I was expeting an evolution for jinx, and really, rhyperior is really badlooking... :( i prefer rhydon a lot...
 
I would say that Chansey didn't need a pre-evo. Miltank also needs an EVO with awesome stats in HP and Def. Altaria could do with an EVO as well(look it up it has to be the worst dragon available)

Well, I see the other guys point, LickThePaint. A physical tank but weak to so many moves. It can't resist Ice Punch, EQ, Fighting Moves (Mach Punch, Close Combat, Cross Chop, etc.), and will be owned by Waterfall/Aqua Tail, and Leaf Blade. Very good Physical Tank with way too many weaknesses.

But true to the most powerful Earthquake in OU.
 
Farfetch'd really needed an evolution and didn't get it.

I think there needs to be an evolution between Tailow and Swellow aswell as Hoothoot and Noctowl. I mean, you have Pidgey -> Pidgeotto -> Pidgeot, Starly -> Staravia -> Staraptor, and then the other two "gen birds" don't have a middle evolution.

I agree with you Twilight, only it should be Tailow ---> Swellow ---> New Evoloution. Same with Noctowl.

well that's just the pokemon rhyperior is and what rhydon was. You can't really change that with a different evolution as you would have to change its typing altogether. Unless they do something like turn the rock into steel like they did with onix->steelix but that's unlikely.

I wasn't complaining about a new evoloution, just stating how I dislike Rhyperior as a physical tank, and stated my reasons for it.

I'm with negator on this one, I think it's a wonderful little piece of Pokémon lore than the most useless and common fish can potentially become a devastating beast with the right amount of patience and care.

Part of me wants to say Farfetch'd deserves an evolution, because he is long overdue to become ... well competitively viable, but his design is just so cool that part of me feels an evolution would spoil that.

I think Torkoal could use an evolution. It's a decent Pokémon in its own right but it could be bumped up stat-wise, or given a (good) second type. Mr. Mime could do with an evo too, again, decent but a stat boost could put it up a level.
 
I forgot about Torkoal.

And they can still make a Farfetch'd evoloution look cool. We're talking about the people who made Charizard and Groudon here! =D

iirc Jibaku had the same siggy.

Anyways I agree Koal needs an EVO as well. So would Farfetch'd.

Also IMO Lanturn needs an EVO as well. It's typing is really cool and he is one of the few pokes to resist the famed bolt-beam combo, but besides that it can't do anything with it's poor base stats.
