The idea of this thread is to provide a visual list of what Pokémon does what in the SM RU metagame. This will help new and experienced players alike in finding Pokémon that fit their teams when looking for specific roles, as well as help players build more diverse teams by not always using the same Pokémon to fill the same role.

Below, we have the various roles an SM RU team might want a Pokémon to fill. For each of these roles is a list of Pokémon which can fulfill that role; all of the Pokémon listed can work at least somewhat viably as a performer of the role, as such they have been ranked in no particular order. If there is a Pokémon which is not listed which can perform well in a certain role, please feel free to post about it, and we may add it. However, this thread is not meant to be a place for discussion about the viability of Pokémon in general, unless a Pokémon's placement is drastically off - we have a Metagame Discussion Thread and VR for that.​

Am I really the first reply? This is hard to believe. Anyway, the point is that I want a section for Pokemon that are good abusers of moves like haze, clear smog, roar, whirlwind, circle throw, and dragon tail. Additionally, I think Registeel should be added to defensive stealth rock users, mainly because the usage stats suggest that it is a defensive stealth rock user.

Shaymin should be in Healing Wish (used in Scarf), also Kommo-o Z Fighting can be Focus Blast (Autotomize set) and Zoroark is a SD User
Oh and afaik D Ranks shouldn't be in Role Compendium...so Blastoise

Yeah this needs some updates:
-Remove UR mons.
-IMO priority needs its own section. In this meta filled with extremely fast mons like Shark priority is super helpful to have and while not many mons get it, there's enough that do and it's important enough to warrant a section for sure.
-Also add a section for weather, as it's pretty prominent in this meta.
-Heracross and Reuniclus are still here lol get rid of them
-Jolteon should be in Offensive Pivots as its main set - specs - uses Volt Switch to good effect.
-Toxicroak could run a SubBU set to some effect, maybe it belongs in BU?

WIP Let's just take the time to notice that slurmz STINKS. This man still has zoroark. I started this but I am tired and don't trust my internet so Im posting this now. I will finish tomorrow. I liked OU's format more so I stole that, with the Pokemon below C+ rank seperated by a line. A lot of these I think could be moved across the line considering that is their ONLY role. Feel free to nitpick, I am not perfect. I went off the VR thread for the most part.
