NOC Nomination Mafia Game Thread

if i had to vote (and quite coincidentally i do) between hawkie and zorbees id vote hawkie first.

Zorbees is almost never scum, his hitmonleet push doesnt read as bussing on a reread, it feels organic and naturally constructed read. Hes been ~~light~~ on content elsewise but has at least been here to discuss things that are happening. Mainly townread zorbees for the hitmonleet push tho.... he was the first person to really push hitmonleet as scum (before jalmont iirc) and stuck with it for the rest of the day. I think the hitmonleet EoD trying to panic shove onto zorbees doesnt make any sense if they are a scum team either - it only draws a needless connection between them that they wouldnt want to create when a flip was imminent, making this read a bit stronger.

i dont truly think hawkie is scum, but more things ping me from the slot then they do from zorbees. One thing thats really stood out to me this game is the baseless townreads going to / coming from hawkie. I touched on it in my last post (last significant one at least...) but king and granny continuously hard town reading hawkie and providing no reasons or extremely superficial ones is just bizarre to me. I think the most likely explanation is that at least one of these 2 are scum and dont know how to push onto a player like hawkie, so just mindlessly tr him to cozy up to him (also notice they naked vote me without reasoning....) OR less likely they are pocketed by hawkie scum (much more likely for granny then king.....). The haruno townread from hawkie is also still ??? in my head. Haruno when hes town is usually fairly vocal, why is he getting tr'd by hawkie for coasting along, or when hes posted post something thats just straight up untrue (one of asek / zorbees has to be scum due to policy / meta when set up is randed....). Just seems like a baseless read overall when I'm nully / slight scum on haruno if anything, not town. Also call me out for omgus if you will but hawkie continuously came back to me yesterday for 'not actively driving the game' or whatever reason. In a game filled with new players there is no reason to go spam happy posting like I usually do - it will only serve to alienate the newer players who arent going to keep up with asek 10 post combos that ive done in the last few nocs.... much better to be concise and to the point as i have been thus far. Ive given my PoV on every relevant wagon thus far as well so i dont think ive been sitting back at all, and dont really get why hawkie would continuously return to me

Overall i dont think zorbees holds any scum equity whereas hawkie does have things that ping me

Asek has really stepped up and I really can't see them as scum, and while Hawkie is a super shaky SR I could see the mafia electing him due to his "confirmed town" status on D1. I've also seen scum Hawkie pull ballsie plays (like in vamps when he tunneled me D1 to make me claim town and then converted me next night) so it's not inconceivable.

Honestly i believe Asek has been far scummier (or at least considerably less townie, d1 at least) than the other two but at the same time as much pressure as asek has had on them d1, as much as I WANT to find a logical reason for them to nom themselves here i really cant. I dont see them nomming themselves here as scum. That play is way too ballsy to warrant any logic imo. (especially factoring in obvscum king is also on that wagon without a basis) But at the same time in terms of towniness hawkie>>>>asek. Not supporting a zorbees lynch today at all. Not entirely sure who i want between right now between hawkie and asek so imma hold tight to this lynch.

(Also can we have a bit more discussion from those players outiside of the nominations, outside of just parking votes)

For what its worth this further solidifies my TR here, i dont think scum would come out and say "this is purely a vengeance vote"

Imo here you are just avoiding the pressure me/asek put on you for lynching asek (after stating hawkie was the most likely to flip red). Immediately retracing your steps after noticing your slip up. You gave reasoning for flipping off of asek which is fine and dandy, but I still would like an explanation to why you originally went asek>hawkie AFTER stating asek was less likely to be actual scum.

I maintain the fact asek<hawkie in terms of townliness (d1 at least, d2 asek>hawkie) and despite this as much pressure as asek had on them and the fact they got nommed and their d2 posts are telling me my original read there was probably wrong. So even though i doubt this flips scum, im even more confident the other two wont flip scum given the scenario. lynch hawkie
