Introduction
Hi guys, this is my first RMT for SM. Mega-Lati was my favorite mon in ORAS, so once her mega stone was released I wanted to build around her. I would characterize this team as bulky offense with the main goal to allow volcarona to set up and win. I am an average player (at best) and managed to bring this team into the mid 1600s (I dont have proof of peak cause a. 1600 isn't that special and b. I spontaneously decided to post this team).
The Team

Latias-Mega @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
M-Latias acts as the utility knife and occasional win-con for this team due to its solid speed tier and SpA/D stats. Bolt/Beam has great coverage for almost anything and hits very hard at +1/+2.
Additionally, I chose Latias over Latios due to its added bulk (Tbh I didnt do many calculations
regarding this, but I tested the team extensively with both Latias and Latios and I felt Latias had better staying power throughout the match)

Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Fleur Cannon
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Pretty standard AV Mag. Used primarily as a special wall. On non-sub Heatran or on Heatran that dont sub on turn one, I like to volt switch into duggy for an easy kill. Other than that nothing too groundbreaking here.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Def / 16 SpD / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Smack Down
Lando-T is my physical wall and is able to come in on most physical attackers. I chose rocky helmet for chip damage on predicted u-turns/fake out/etc although I've debated leftovers for some form of recovery. The slow U-turn provides safe entry for volc, duggy, latias and overall keep momentum. I switched out HP Ice for smack down just cause I like to annoy zapdos, skar, cele, lando, etc.

Volcarona @ Psychium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain
- Psychic
Volcarona is the main set-up sweeper and the team's goal is to get this thing to set up and win. I recently switched to psychic over HP Ice due to struggles getting latias set up on toxapex w/o getting toxiced or hazed. +1 Psychium Z will destroy pex and usually lead to an eventual sweep.

Kartana @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Defog
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
A very underrated and surprising defogger in my opinion. A lot of opponents don't suspect a defog from kartana and it is usually fast enough to get a defog off in almost any situation - which is critical for allowing volcarona to set up/come in safely. I think I got this set from the creative sets board? (Possibly posted by p2)

Dugtrio @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Memento
- Pursuit
Pretty standard scarf duggy set here. I went w/ rock slide over stone edge cause it still kills opposing (non-charti) volcarona and has better accuracy. I feel like scarf duggy isn't as common and can net a surprise kill on a weakened greninja (non-scarf obvi) as well as perform its normal trapping duties. The biggest downfall, however is the inability to trap and kill chansey.
Conclusion
In conclusion this has been a pretty effective team that I've had fun using. I hope y'all will use it and let me know what you think.
Threat List:
DD M-Gyara -- nothing really checks this if it gets to +2. Usually I'll either try to bring in lando a few times or sacrafice duggy w/ memento.
Unaware Clefable -- Never found out how to play around this if the opponent knows what hes doing.
Chansey -- Duggy being scarfed can't trap and kill chansey. Kartana is really the only mon that can take out chansey on the team so it is critical that you keep it healthy until chansey is gone.
Stall -- I suck at playing against stall
Rain -- pretty much gg from the start. I usually will lead lati and hope they leave their pelliper in to get KOed by t-bolt. If not, I almost always lose to rain.
