The Cribs - Moving Pictures

The Cribs is a cool indie band and their usage of guitars is cooler than the band itself, which is saying quit a lot. Moving Pictures is a pretty basic song from them, but it has all the qualities you need for a catchy song. The vocals aren't anything too bad, but I don't like the filler woah woah's.

7.5/10

Amorphis - Her Alone

Oh god the lead melody in this is so amazing, really serpentine. All clean vocals and the acoustic guitars, and the bridge rules so hard with the piano in it. I fell in love with it this morning before class.

9.5/10

Yeah, my brother jams to that song a lot. Anyways, i'm very sorry, but...

His World-the guys from ZebraHead. Yes, this is the song from that hated 2006 Sonic game. I actually don't hate this one. Sue me.

Crossfade - So Cold(What I really meant to say)

Crossfade isn't half that bad. I considered So Cold as their best song until listened to So Far Away.

Say Anything - Died A Jew

Trying out new bands and I can't say Say Anything was a disappointment. They're pretty basic in my opinion, because the vocals lack the power that would suit their music better. They get props for cool song names though, despite the fact that quite a few bands use similar 'themes' for the song names.

6/10

Also, what's with all the lazy people in this thread? Just type a bit more than the artist and the song title.

Flight of the Conchords - Robots (live)

Pretty much the funniest thing I've ever heard. It's basically a song and a story at the same time and it's way cool. This is my favorite FotC song and you should definitely check it out!

A Silver Mt. Zion - Sisters! Brothers! Small Boats of Fire Are Falling From the Sky!

One of my favourite Post-Rock bands with one of their finest tracks. Awesome name too.

Streetlight Manifesto - Watch It Crash

This is like the third time I've played this song in the past half hour. I simply love this band and this song is just amazing.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - BBF3

Best album ever.

Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas is better. It has Sleep, the best Godspeed You! Black Emperor track! I've got to admit I've been listening to Blaise Bailey Finnegan III a lot recently.

Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim

Hands down, one of my favourite bands and one of by favourite tracks by them. Lisa Gerrard's glossolalia is second to none and this track is no exception. The chants... the organs...the synths...everything is incredibly beautiful in this track.

I am angered that this track is the opener to The Serpent's Egg, seeing I know every track that follows it isn't as good. However, this album has nothing but good tracks, especially Mother Tongue, In the Kingdom of the Blind the One-Eyes Are Kings and Echolalia.

yes I am the best GY!BE track

no really I'm listening to Bloc Party -- "Pioneers"

I just plain like this song, it sounds nice and Okereke's vocals really stand out, in my opinion. Um, yeah.

8/10

Danzig - Godless

This song is just amazing, probably my favorite Danzig song - contains some excellent drum work and the (as always) excellent bluesy vocals from Glenn Danzig along with some slow - almost spoken kind of slow - parts at the start and end.

I love Moya the most, personally, and BBF3 makes the album my favourite!

A Place To Bury Strangers – Another Step Away

This album really chills me out.

Fuck, that is an amazing song. It's like the soundtrack to a sad arabian movie.

Nine Inch Nails - March of the Pigs

Does Trent Reznor need introduction?

Massive Attack - Teardrop

It's famous apparantly from my workmate's opinions. The voice and song itself let the song flow so well.

First encounter was when I was watching Hollyoaks(English soap) and this came on near the end of an episode. Fitted the theme well and eventually I fell in love with it.

No idea what kind of song it is to tell you the truth ;[
