Introduction

This is my Gallade-Mega mixed offense team!

gallade-mega.gif

Gallade-Mega @ Galladite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Zen Headbutt
- Swords Dance
I chose Gallade-Mega for this team because I love Gallade for one, and two, I like the wallbreaking coverage he has. He's a great lead and wallbreaker for the early to mid game and can whittle down some of the fatter 'mons for a greninja Water Shuriken sweep

zygarde.gif

Zygarde @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 160 HP / 216 Atk / 28 SpD / 104 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Coil
- Dragon Dance
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
When building this team, I started off using scarf tapu lele, but I found that it made my team pretty vulnerable to a lot of things. Zygarde has a perfect mix of defensive and sweeping capabilities that I love.

heatran.gif

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Roar
Heatran is an optional lead and can disrupt the enemy team in a number of ways. He can also eat hits from a lot of different 'mons and force switches so I can set up with one of my wallbreakers. He makes life easier for the late game as well.

celesteela.gif

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower
I chose Celesteela so that I would have a check for stallers and slow down the game if I need to. He's an amazing defensive tank which is exactly what this team needs.

greninja-ash.gif

Greninja-Ash @ Waterium Z
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Water Shuriken
- Spikes
Greninja-Ash is mostly here as a wallbreaker but can also sweep up for me in the late game. I started off with choice specs but I found that having the Z-move made him much more reliable considering he has dark pulse if they switch, and he outspeeds a lot of mons.

mimikyu.gif

Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Play Rough
- Shadow Claw
I started off this team with toxapex to compliment Celesteela, but I found having another reliable sweeper to be much more consistent. Mimikyu, as I said, is my secondary sweeper. I needed a ghost type to be able to spin block, and he can reliably Swords Dance after a spin block so he really does work in the mid to end game.

Conclusion

This is my first team I've built that's had a good bit of success. I'm just getting seriously into competitive, so any tips and advice is greatly appreciated!

Hey Joshawatt, I'm a fan of Gallade too :)

First off, while Greninja scares Landorus out, nothing really baits it in and wears it down. For this reason, I suggest changing the Zygarde set to the Choice Band version
Zygarde @ Choice Band
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Iron Tail
- Outrage
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
. Alternatively, you could put Ice Punch over Knock Off on Gallade. Either way, you need something that baits in Landorus that weakens it for either Gallade, Zygarde or Mimikyu to break through mid-late game. Gallade can 2HKO and Zygarde weakens it further and further. Iron Tail is for Tapu Bulu or Clefable. Calcs:
-1 252 Atk Gallade-Mega Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 208-248 (54.4 - 64.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 108-127 (28.2 - 33.2%) -- 92.6% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Next up, your team has no form of hazard removal, which puts it at a major disadvantage against Sticky Webs teams (especially if the Greninja is not Choice Specs). Toxic Spikes is also a major issue for this team, as only two mons are immune to it and you have nothing to remove them. You also lack something that's faster than Tapu Koko (pre Ash Gren). For this, I suggest a Scarfed Latios over Celesteela and changing the Heatran set to a more Specially defensive one to keep your matchup against Tapu Lele not too bad.
Latios (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
- Trick

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Protect

I think that the team is quite Hawlucha weak if Mimikyu's Disguise has been broken. I suggest changing Greninja to Tapu Koko. Defensive calc:
+2 252+ Atk Hawlucha High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 210-248 (74.7 - 88.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Tapu Koko works well with Gallade too, as HP Ice straight up OHKO's Landorus if Koko is Specs, and if Gallade can take care of Landorus with a nicely placed Ice Punch, then Tapu Koko can Volt Switch around freely.
Tapu Koko @ Choice Specs
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Dazzling Gleam
If you think that having this many choice-locked mons is an issue, you could have Koko as the Shuca Berry set
Tapu Koko @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 124 HP / 192 SpA / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
Though this may make you more Mew weak.

Finally, since you have a Z-Move free, I'd put Ghostium-Z on the Mimikyu. It allows you to break some more things without the residual self-inflicted damage.

I hope this helped, or at the least gave you some things to think about. If you have any questions, give me a shout :)

P.S. I made a Gallade team recently. Here it is if you want to look at it http://pokepast.es/00705a74130a2347

This is exactly what I was looking for! I think the latios change is perfect and I love tapu koko! I'll definitely have much more momentum with him on the team which is exactly what is needed. This is my first RMT so I tried putting as much time into it as I could before posting so I hoped it was descriptive enough for my first one. Thanks a lot! :]

Glad I could help :) Give it a few tries and let me know how you find it/what you have problems with.

I like the choice koko and latios, but Zygarde fits better with the Figy Berry Coil combo. I tried it with choice Zygarde and latios with Shuca Berry koko, and I tried all three choice and I think having Zygarde danceable was more consistent. Thanks for the awesome suggestions though! It's working much better now!

Since you're not running Magma Storm Heatran to trap Pex, I'd run Taunt > Spikes on Ash Gren to 1v1 Pex

aside from that I think Diophantine said everything better than I could.
