Haha, this update was hilarious. Bonsly looks like it's constantly on the verge of a nervous breakdown and what do you do with it when it comes out of the Pokeball? Huck it at peoples' faces! Now, if only Sakurai made Bonsly run away with its 'trademark' crying after it was thrown. Still, one of the most entertaining updates for a while.

Poor Bonsly.

(Also, I was beginning to think they forgot about the Pokeball Pokemon! Roughly eight or nine months of updates and they've only shown five new ones? About time they start showing more.)

they showed a crazy amount of re-appearing pokemon last tuesday...

But Bonsly looks like a fun little dude, and i'm glad to see he does more than the nothing a lot of us thought he did at E4All...i guess no one thought to pick the guy up.

Well, I meant new Pokemon in particular. There's certainly going to be a large number of new ones (what with 200+ Pokemon being introduced since Melee) and since the dojo could milk that alone for several weeks worth of updates, I've been surprised for the last few months that they have not shown any new, non-returning Pokemon.

Edit: Bonsly was shown at E4All? Does there happen to be a video clip with him in it?

Birdo could be a slower, heavier version of Yoshi. Rather than using her tongue, she'll shoot eggs, maybe a move using the bow in her head? Maybe she can shoot flames .. xD

I can see that working out... Since, she/he/it/whatever the fuck could be more of a slow, stronger Yoshi, who's main attack is spitting out eggs and fireballs.
 
Ahhh

Bonsly looks like fun. Not really important from a competitive view, but its like a Bomb-omb that deals no damage or collateral knockback (don't ask where I got that from).

I honestly don't expect to see any more characters until late December / January at this rate.
 
I don't expect to see any at all. I'm thinking that Sakurai had already revealed all/majority of the characters he had originally planned to reveal once Sonic/the delay came about so now...he's not going back on his word and revealing hidden characters.

by characters I mean old ones. aka Captain Falcon, Sheik and Luigi. I don't see how he can remove Captain Falcon without giving us a replacement. Luigi is similar to Mario, so I understand. And Sheik is just weird. But yah, I liked to see some confirmation / denial of old characters.
 
Well it just looks like a small feature to me...that isn't entirely necessary. But it's nice...I guess. I think I'm happier just seeing the Multiplayer menu.
 
I would like to see 8 player battling, now that I think of it.

4 Wii (each whichever version, CC/Wiimote/Nunchuck) and 4 GCN.

I'm surprised at how many people don't know that this feature is in Melee. If you never used in Melee, I doubt you'll use it now.
