[OVERVIEW]

Meganium simply has no real use over other bulky Grass-types in the tier. Its abilities are useless, it has a mediocre movepool, it is very passive, and its bulk isn't even that impressive. Meganium does have some unique moves among its brethren like Dragon Tail and Aromatherapy, but otherwise you're simply better off using other defensive Grass-types such as Tangela, Roselia, and Cradily, which have better utility overall. As a cleric, Audino, Articuno, and even Granbull are better choices due to their superior bulk and movepools.

This set attempts to make use of Aromatherapy support and phazing, the only things Meganium has going for it over its competition. Its bulk is very deceptive and it won't last as long as one would like, especially when combined with Synthesis having low PP. Audino and Articuno are better clerics because they are more durable and have more utility overall. As a bulky Grass-type, Tangela's access to Regenerator, Roselia's access to Toxic Spikes and Natural Cure along with a neat secondary typing, and Cradily's Storm Drain ability and Stealth Rock support are far more valuable options.

Meganium does have some unique moves among its bretheren like Dragon Tail, Aromatherapy, and even Earthquake(if ur not using eq on the set, dont mention), but otherwise you're simply better off using other defensive Grass-types such as Tangela, Roselia, or Cradily, which have better utility overall. As a cleric, Audino, Articuno, and even Granbull are better choices due to their superior bulk and movepools.

As a bulky Grass-type, Tangela's access to Regenerator and great bulk with Eviolite(relying on eviolite isnt really the best thing), Roselia's access to Toxic Spikes and Natural Cure along with similarly good bulk with Eviolite(same here), and Cradily's Storm Drain ability and Stealth Rock support are far more valuable options.
