[OVERVIEW]

Despite having nearly unresisted coverage, an above average Speed tier, and access to Nasty Plot, Simipour's low bulk makes it difficult for it to find free turns to set up. Simipour faces direct competition from Pokemon such as Alolan Raichu as a fast Nasty Plot sweeper due to its better Speed tier, dual typing, and access to a STAB pivoting move in Volt Switch. Simipour also has to compete with other Water-types such as Floatzel and Choice Specs Jellicent, the former of which is faster, while the latter is immediately stronger, with both of them providing other various utility options such as Switcheroo, Aqua Jet, a Water immunity, and spinblocking.

[SET COMMENTS]

Simipour should attempt to set up with Nasty Plot on something passive such as bulky Oricorio-G after being brought in by a slow pivot. From there, Simipour can fire off powerful special attacks in the attempt of bringing a foe down before it is KOed. However, Simipour's lackluster bulk and few resistances limit its setup opportunties. Comparatively, Omastar and Carracosta are much more reliable Water-type setup sweepers, as their better Defense stats and notable Normal- and Flying-resistances allow them to more reliably set up with Shell Smash, their chosen setup option.

Simipour also has to compete with other fast Water-types such as Floatzel and Choice Scarf Kabutops, which are faster and provide other various utility options such as Switcheroo, Aqua Jet, Knock Off, and Rapid Spin. (competition from other nasty plot users like alochu is def smth you should mention, especially considering that it's faster.) (kabutops is a bit of a weird comparison. they do different things and are only comparable bc they're both water-types. offensive jellicent would probs be a better comparison, as they're both specially offensive water-type breakers.)

Simipour should attempt to set up with Nasty Plot on something passive such as Type: Null (type: null 2HKOes you and you don't OHKO with +2 hydro vortex unless you're in torrent range and it's been chipped a bit. if you mean as it switches in, specify that.) after being brought in by a slow pivot. From there, Simipour can fire off powerful special attacks in the attempt of bringing something down before it itself falls. (make this more about how its bulk and lack of usable resistances besides like water kinda limits setup.) Floatzel and Kabutops don't have to worry nearly as much about this, as they are faster, (kabu is only faster if it's choice scarf.) stronger without the need for setup, and in the case of Kabutops, has no trouble directly switching in due to its useful resistances to types such as Flying. (again, kabu is a weird comparison, especially since you specifically reference its choice scarf set and not its swords dance set.)

Simipour should attempt to set up with Nasty Plot on something passive such as non-Thunder Wave Clefairy (I know simipour is frail but surely there's better examples than just clef lacking twave) after being brought in by a slow pivot. From there, Simipour can fire off powerful special attacks in the attempt of bringing something down before it itself falls. However, Simipor's(Simipour's) lackluster bulk and few resistances limits its setup opportunties. Floatzel doesn't have to worry nearly as much about this, as it is both faster and stronger without the need for setup. (mention smth like omastar/carracosta here, far more threatening boosting water sweepers with reasonable physical bulk to facilitate setup)
