NOC Small Street Game Thread - Ended- TOWN wins!

We can use a Samo flip, or a Stealth flip, or *insert active person here* flip and use it to make educated guesses over potential partners.

A drookez flip is useless, even if he flips scum.

Former Hope would you agree that what I described here is what is currently going on?
Not at all.

They are both mafia.

What happened is that seeing as BD was getting lynched, DS went for the bus knowing it would look good on them with the flip. This sort of embodies one of the things I play towards as mafia, you only need one member of the mafia alive to win, so bussing is a logical and useful move.

That's why DS wants to lynch Sam and why they were so insistent about asking me what I would think if samoyed flipped scum. But it was through this, that they reveal the TMI.

Going back to D1, one thing that stood out to me about DS was how incessant they were about what I would think if BD flipped town. It was such a weird question because as town, it held no value and they asked with such confidance, that it reads to me like they knew BD would flip town.

They also just did that again last night, they were so incesstant that Samoyed would flip scum, that it really truly seems to me like they know Sam will flip scum and want to benefit off the lynch.

Like, even going back towards EOD, they weren't seriously pushing Sam. Instead, they were sort of just lazily putting their vote on them from nowhere and saying they wanted them lynched, but not putting in any effort to convince people or change votes.

Re: Samoyed and DS are both mafia. But since DS is trying to push Samoyed, DS has the more powerful role and thus should be lynched first.

mind giving me those tells
Sure. Tone can be faked, but bigger picture objectives can't be.

Also they do something I do well, which is rationalize.

Any action in the game can be rationalized. However, not all rationalizations are rational. In otherwords, like me, they can (and have) rationalize any of their actions. However, if you go and look at the bigger picture here. Their actions do not make sense coming from a town perspective.

How so ? How do you think their actions differ from what would make sense for town to do exactly ?

Nice try but I was pushing Samoyed before there was a blue train.

1. Basically everybody agrees that Samo is likely scum.
2. Not everybody agrees that DS. is likely scum.

Therefore, if the goal is to lynch scum, samo is a better target first. We can argue over what it means after he flips.

First off, apologies. I just spent 12 hours doing stuff and so I lost most of my specific thoughts. But to summarize best I can.

Actions don't really matter. It's intent and motivation. Both of which for DS, have been particularly anti town and manipulative in a way that town is not.

Sure I guess. But this is also a really dumb conclusion if they are both scum trying to lynch the weaker role first.

Better conclusion: lynch DS today and sam tomorrow.

yeah you're going to need to elaborate on those specific thoughts and what posts made you reach that conclusion

I'm really tired and honestly, pointing to most specific posts tends to be easily obstructive.

That said, anyone with eyes can find an example where they gaslight whenever it comes to defending themselves, or that they are way too focused on stuff that doesn't matter to town.

Lol

I lowkey want to die just to make you look like an idiot how you've tunneled on me this game
But anyways, MoodyCloud this is one of the posts.

Here, they clearly know I'm town despite saying they mostly scumread me. This is evident, because I only look like an idiot as town for mislynching them. If I was scum, I would just be successful.

Thus, this little language slip implies and confirms that they know I'm town despite them claiming to think otherwise.

You're twisting this to make it fit your narrative. You are saying that I'm scum. Me flipping town makes you look stupid regardless of alignment

Im back for a few minutes.
Former Hope, didn't DS. tell me not to project my votes?

I think he is partners with Samoyed. The way that he was pushing the Blue lynch yesterday super hard as a counter to the Samoyed wagon (someone called him out as possible partners with Samoyed) and now that other people are jumping on Samoyed his town read suddenly flips to a scum read there?

It just seems obvious to me. Only reason I hadn't voted Former earlier was because I was trying to figure out who I wanted to lynch first. Now that Former is actively threatening me with a gladiator usage, which is scummy af btw, yeah I'm fine flipping Former first- then we flip Samoyed.
I'm fine with Samo

Vote Samoyed

If he flips scum there's major partner equity with Former though and I'm coming back there
Sure I guess. But this is also a really dumb conclusion if they are both scum trying to lynch the weaker role first.
