But Geno is filler, too... He only appeared in one game as a side character. And he's so ugly...

I like Daisy because she's more tomboyish even though your right and she won't make it in because of Peach's costume.

That's not technically true. Daisy first appeared in Mario Land for the gameboy, and was the staple princess in that series. Also, she's never gonna be a character in Smash Bros.

The Waluigi AT is awesome. I was Waluigi for Hallowe'en, so the first time he appears in my game, I'm gonna sacrifice myself to him in all his Waluigi glory!

So, in an attempt to turn this discussion into something that abides by the rules of this thread, how about we talk about the characters that are actually IN the game at the moment?


Which character confirmed so far interests you the most, which character do you think you'll play as first, or possibly general questions concerning the confirmed characters?
 
As much as i like IKE, i'd have to say Wario is the most intriguing. From the way he moved in the nintendo world trailer, he looks blocky, sort of like Game and Watch. His moves so far seem just as bizarre, and the ability to eat items (he swallows a grenade in Snake Joins the Brawl!) makes me wonder if he won't become a new favorite of mine.

And of course, Pokemon Trainer.
 
Ike's definitely the one I'm most interested in. Even though he's (illogically) slow, I intend to attempt to make him my main character.

Wario and Pokemon Trainer definitely win the award for the most unique characters confirmed so far and love them solely for that fact. They're practically definitive of the type of game series SSB is.

Did anyone ELSE notice the Emerald version PT Alt in the back (between goggles Pikachu and Ivysaur)?

EDIT: aw nuts, it's just a recolored Red with Emerald colors now that I look closer. Despite this, it looks cooler than the regular Red outfit. I'll definitely want to try that out.

EDIT 2: ugh, I take that back. That green Charizard alt seen here (left of the Sudden Death screen) looks like ass. Here's hoping for a black alternate outfit with black Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle. The emo squad =(.
 
Hahaha KH says Geno would be a filler, even when i don't want Geno, it was a big character on the game he was part of, of course the main was Mario, but he was at the same level of importance than the other partners Mario had as a team (Bowser, Peach, Mallow).

So anyway....

Well, if Pokemon Trainer is playable since first (i know it seems like that, but you can't be sure) i will try it, Dedede seems awesome as well!.

I like co-op event matches, it's fun if you have someone to play with.

Btw, did you noticed this other Pkmn T. colour?.

Coin matches... seems, ok?. Played like 5 on Melee, but ok doesn't harm to have them as an option :P.

Co-op target smash seems more weird though.

EDIT Oh my, while i was typing Thunderhorse beat me to mention that :p, ok i'll leave it for the giggles.

The fact that the PT is featured in the 5th event battle and the 2nd co-op event battle is pretty telling, unless you unlock him by playing one of those two.

I'm gonna go with the general flow here and say that I'll be picking up the PT, and Sonic when I unlock him. I have too much love for the blue blur (despite Sonic Team having become completely incompetent since they got out of the hardware business) not to play as him. And he seems to have a similar play-style as the space animals, so I should get used to him quick enough.

PT just because I have an unhealthy love for Charizard and Ivysaur.
 
well I qualify for the (BAN ME PLEASE)s who want geno in the game but we're not supposed to say this (rules) so NOBODY DISCUSS THIS

the last two updates were nice after the barrage of shit
 
I wouldn't mind Geno in the game...as long as he's not the 3rd 3rd Party rep. Megaman, Bomberman even PAC-MAN would be more deserving.

As for a Mario rep, yeah, shove Geno in. In my mind he'd be better than Bowser Jr. (because I HATE Bowser Jr.).

Co-op Events look pretty awesome, and the fact that Ivysaur is shiny. Here's hoping for Shiny Charizard :D

Co-op TARGET TEST? Weird.

I do wonder what role, if any, PT will play in subspace. Most likely he'll be teaming with Pikachu, but it's still not set it stone. Hell, Pikachu could end up with Captain Falcon.

And, can anyone tell what that weird black thing is in the 5th event match? (Nearest to the front, not Link in the back).
