First off, select the design you want to use (or make up your own)
Example: Tyranitar's diamonds and spikes

Remove all the designs on the other parts and apply the one you want to use (or mix both designs, but have all pieces have the style E.G. my avatar)


I don't really have a good example because my splices are done by completely mixing 2 sprites (including scratching)

But this is the best I could find:

I used Marowak's skull and then applied Marowak's style or design (chest color and stripes) on Aerodactyl.


EDIT: just because I think something better could be done with Rayquaza and Feraligatr

I admit it, I got lazy with the arm.
Still, it turned out ok.

I took a stab at Garchomp/Hippowdon w/ Macargo colors

Not cool, but funny.

Pyr0: It looks cool but I think the first frame Rayquaza's head would've looked better, you should've stayed with his original right (our left) arm, and the back spikes seem to stick out to much.

samtheman: looks good for your first one.

Chomp and Hippowdon is almost as impossible as Claydol and Rapidash. If you think mine doesn't have enough scratch work (you know that's what you mean by too simple) then try it. You'll soon see you can't actually do anything since neither of them even have congruous body parts. So basically you have to make shit up or make it look stupid.

Any base will do, try diff colors too
