SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword & Shield Pre-Release SPOILERS - Check Post 2!

Galarian Stunfisk most likely gets Stealth Rocks and Toxic along with its great typing and (presumably) good bulk.

It barely matters what STABs it gets. All it wants is support moves. Imagine if it got Recover...

Since Blissey/Chansey is no longer available, I wonder who will fill the void of main Cleric/Special Wall of stall/semi-stall teams? At the top of my head is Umbreon who can also learn Heal Bell, Magic Guard Clefable (arguably better than Natural Cure). And maybe Sylveon?
Going by the VR for the Pet Mod, it's definitely not Umbreon. What I imagine would happen is that stall teams would use some core like Corviknight (yes, I do have a fetish for this thing), Clefable with Heal Bell, and then Toxapex or Gastrodon (maybe Goodra) to try to mimic Skarmory+Chansey. I don't think that any of the new Pokémon will be able to fill that cancerous void completely. That's what comes to my mind as a balance/semi-stall player.

Perhaps this is the gen. The gen where goodra gets recover and everyone groans.

Thanks to MattL calculating these from trailers, I've added some stat ranges to the doc:

Polteageist HP 56-66 | SpA 105-125
Cramorant HP 67-72 | Def 74-98 | SpA 75-95
Sirfetch'd HP 52-62
Galarian Weezing HP 65
Obstagoon HP 87-102

We don't know much else, sadly.

I know this is before the leak but I find it fun how it's basically "SM UU with a few additions"

or people will just run Tyranitar who has been amazing in OU since gen2

Maybe, but Eiscube can switch out safely (or even inflict status) because the cube still works outside of Hail - it just doesn't regenerate.

You know what, I think I'm going to give this Hail Stall gimmick a go for the first online tournament in the game. Abomasnow, Magic Guard Clefable and Eiscube are a given... I'd need to think the rest.

I think Indeedee might be the discount Chansey/Audino of the gen but I kinda forgot it's typing

Normal/Psychic?
I doubt it since switching into Hydreigon will most likely be a necessity for a special wall in SwSh.

HP is not affected by natures, so you can use the level of the Pokemon and the HP number displayed on the Health bar to create a rough estimate of the range using 0 EVs and 252 EVs in HP.
I like to pretend that they hack GF like on a shitty cable drama.

Funny. I was thinking of trying a Hailroom team in VGC2020 featuring Abomasnow and Eiscube thanks to its ability to "take" Rock Slides and Iron Heads. For that competition, I'm considering Shuckle/Ribombee using Sticky Web + ( Sleep Powder+ Quiver Dance + Substitute Butterfree) + Haxorus/Dragapault.

Galarian Stunfisk, to me, looks like the kind that would get Iron Barbs or an equivalent, and Gyro Ball for Steel-type offense.
for some reason my brain forgot about gyro ball. I suppose that would work, especially if its speed is lower than unovian stunfisk's.

that's the thing, though. If it got the move I'm proposing, it would have even more support value. Wrap-status is useful even if it's not used that often, I'd argue it's better than confusion at this point at least. I don't think it's that unlikely to exist either. It fits like a glove flavor-wise. A spiked glove that will cut your hand open if you put it on, but a glove.

I certainly want it to get recovery, though. I think slack off fits it better than recover, but that's just me.

Eiscube will be a great mon in VGC, calling it now. Autosub on a baller offensive type that works well in both Hail and TR teams? Sign me up!
