[SET COMMENTS]
After being banished to the Uber tier for two generations, Aegislash returns to SS OU to use it's amazing defensive typing to pivot into many of SS OU's biggest threats, such as Hawlucha, Galarian Darmanitan, Ferrothorn, Hatterene, and Kommo-o and force them out, and in the process is able to fire off a powerful attack or set up Substitute. Shadow Ball and Close Combat together form perfect unresisted coverage, with Shadow Ball being the primary STAB move and Close Combat being used to hammer the Dark- and Steel-types that might otherwise trouble Aegislash. King's Shield is as incredible as ever, forcing mindgames with Pokemon that rely on contact moves to beat Aegislash, such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Hawlucha that pack coverage moves specifically for Aegislash. However, King's Shield is often predictable, so relying too heavily on it will often result in the opponent being able to play around it.

Toxapex is highly problematic for Aegislash, as it can burn Aegislash with Scald and use Haze to eliminate its boosts, so Pokemon that can handle it, such as Rotom-Wash and Dugtrio, are highly appreciated. Partnering Aegislash with teammates that can beat Ground-types, such as Corviknight, Mandibuzz, and Hydreigon, will help to keep Aegislash healthy. Aegislash and Hydregion form an incredible one-two offensive punch, able to use their amazing power to break down the other's checks and counters- Aegislash can deal with Hatterene, Hawlucha, and Kommo-o, and Hydreigon can bring ruin to Hippowdon, Toxapex, and Seismitoad. Pokemon that need Fighting-, Fairy-, or Steel-types dealt with, such as Bisharp, Tyranitar, Haxorus, and the aforementioned Hydreigon, appreciate Aegislash's ability to soundly defeat them. Shadow Sneak can be used to pick off faster attackers that have already been chipped, like Dragapult and Gengar in exchange for a slightly weaker matchup against Fairy-types.

Obviously not QC, but shouldn't the nature be Brave as to not decrease the damage from Shadow Ball? And I'm pretty sure that, unless Defiant changed, King's Shield doesn't deter Bisharp because it gets an Attack boost from it.

hey, gonna have to QC reject this.

this analysis has a myriad of problems; right off the bat, not only is the main set is absolutely not what Aegi runs most of the time(it runs Substitute attacker), it is completely incoherent with the rest of the analysis.

you make frequent mentions of stuff not in the set(the aforementioned Sub is literally in the first sentence but never mentioned again), or mention problems that Aegi doesn't really have. Scald burning? you should be behind a Sub when pex does anything, Haze shouldn't matter because not only does it not run Swords Dance, it's not even anywhere in the set.

why is rotom-w the first thing in aegi's threat list?

how is dugtrio something aegi can't handle?

partners are just all over the place, and there's tons of fluff everywhere.

you show a lack of sufficient metagame knowledge to make an important analysis like this work, so we're putting it up for reservation again.
