Welcome to Megamax! In this Pet Mod we'll be converting every Gigantamax form introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield into brand new Mega Evolutions via slates.

Submission Rules
There are very few. Just add 100 BST and try to keep your ideas at least somewhat relevant to the physical design of the Gigantamax form in question. Custom abilities that aren't clones of pre-existing ones will require code to be provided for them by the submitter. The amount of new moves you can give a submission will be specified.

Format
The meta will be Regional Dex OU with only the new Megas existing.

Corviknight Sprite
Orbeetle Sprite

Slate #1: Early Routers

Maximum of 3 new moves for Butterfree and Orbeetle and 2 new moves for Corviknight. Due to already being great in both standard and National Dex OU, Mega Corviknight will be explicitly intended for Ubers, so keep your subs in mind for that meta.

Pokemon Name: Orbeetle
Mega Stone Name: Orbeetlite
Stats: 60/45/160/130/145/65 (+50 Defence, +50 Sp.Atk, +25 Sp.Def, -25 Speed)
Typing: Steel/Psychic
Ability: No Guard
New Moves: Focus Blast, Flash Cannon, Hurricane
Competitive Description: Mega Orbeetle has gained a much improved defensive typing, powerful new coverage moves, and access to a 100% accurate Hypnosis that helps it greatly with setting up Sticky Webs or stat boosts. Orbeetle lost its bug typing as the Gigantamax form is really much more reminiscent of a UFO than any insect I know, and No Guard is a replacement for the accuracy boosts that its G-Max move's Gravity gave.

Pokemon Name: Butterfree
Mega Stone Name: Butterfrite
Stats: 60/55/30/130/130/90 (+10 Attack, -20 Defence, +40 Sp.Atk, +50 Sp.Def, +20 Speed)
Typing: Bug/Fairy
Ability: Dazzling
New Moves: Moonblast, Aura Sphere, Healing Wish
Competitive Description: Thanks to Dazzling, Butterfree's Quiver Dance sweeps can no longer be stopped by anything with a priority move. Aura Sphere finally gives Butterfree a proper way of dealing with Steel types that wall its STABs in either form. Actual solid Sp.Def gives Butterfree a much wider array of set up opportunities, while Healing Wish is a potentially very solid move on a more utility based set, although whether Butterfree could ever be made viable without using Quiver Dance remains to be seen.

Pokemon Name: Corviknight
Mega Stone Name:
Corviknite
Stats:
98/147/95/53/55/147 (+60 Attack, -10 Defence, -30 Sp.Def, +80 Speed
Typing:
Steel/Flying
Ability:
Pure Brutality (Water Bubble clone that doubles the damage of Dark-type moves and halves damage taken from Ghost-type moves)
New Moves:
Knock Off, Pursuit
Competitive Description:
Since I feel like Corviknight as a Pokemon performs a fairly basic role similar to many we've already seen before, I decided to make a mega that completely switches up the way Corviknight plays. Corviknight becomes one of the fastest sweepers even by Ubers standards and boasts an incredibly threatening combo of three types that can hit almost everything well between them. Mega Corviknight can be used as a simple all-out attacker with Pursuit-trapping or Defogging capabilities, or it can attempt a sweep with a set of Bulk Up, Roost, Power Trip/Knock Off and Body Press once fairies have been dealt with.

Stats: 98 / 117 / 165 / 63 / 95 / 57 (+30 Attack, +60 Defense, +10 Sp.Atk, +10 Sp.Def, -10 Speed)
Typing: Flying / Steel

Ability: Reinforced Feathers
Description: After Mega Evolving, Corviknight's feathers become harder than steel, making it able to withstand any indirect damage with ease.
This is literally Magic Guard with a more bird friendly name.

New Moves: Smart Strike, Knock Off
Competitive Description: Corviknight has now made itself the single best hazard remover in the game. With it's new ability Reinforced Feathers making it immune to indirect attacks, Corviknight can swap into hazards without taking damage, bulk up many physical attackers hits with it's monstrous 165 Defense, and easily defog those hazards away. It's new moves take advantage of the high intelligence ravens are notorious for having, being able to plan it's strikes, and even being able to knock the item out of your hand. With those new heavy feathers comes a speed drop on it's already mediocre speed stat, meaning it ain't outspeeding much.

The new move limit for Corviknight is 2, meaning you gotta remove one of ur additions. Good sub otherwise

Pokemon Name: Butterfree
Mega Stone Name: Butterfrite
Stats:
60/15/50/150/80/140 (-30 Atk, +60 SpA, +70 Spe) (Parallel to Mega Beedrill)
Typing:
Bug/Flying
Ability:
Compound Eyes
New Moves:
Roost, Thunder, Focus Blast
Competitive Description:
Its goal is to come in, use Quiver Dance and spam 91% accuracy 120 BP moves including Hurricane which has STAB. I added Roost because i needed a third move because of Stealth Rock taking out half of its health, it's also reasonable for a butterfly to rest while flying. Thunder and Focus Blast are added because of its Psychic powers. It always has had access to Psychic moves and if it could have a third type it would be Psychic, so these two moves which several Psychic types learn are allocated to it.

Pokemon Name: Butterfree-Mega
Mega Stone Name: Butterfrite
Stats: 60 / 15 (-30) / 50 / 150 (+60) / 80 / 140 (+40) (495 BST)
Typing:
Bug-type
/
Poison-type

Ability: Serene Grace
New Moves: Dazzling Gleam, Mystical Fire, Sludge Bomb
Competitive Description: With high power glass cannon stats designed to be congruent with Mega Beedrill's (didn't steal the idea from cordeliafrey i promise), Mega Butterfree can set foes to sleep, Quiver Dance and sweep with more power and efficiency than ever before. The Poison type may seem unusual for such a beautiful butterfly, but the Pokedex itself says those wings are home to poisonous scales, and STAB Sludge Bomb lets it take advantage of a 60% Poison rate courtesy of its ability as well as make SpDef drop fishing with Bug Buzz a bit easier.

Corviknight Sprite

Pokemon Name: Corviknight-Mega
Mega Stone Name: Corviknite
Stats: 98 / 112 (+25) / 145 (+40) / 53 / 120 (+35) / 67 (595 BST)
Typing:
Flying-type
/
Steel-type

Ability: Heatproof
New Moves: Whirlwind
Competitive Description: Soaring into Ubers, Mega Corviknight is a Steel/Flying type that can actually check Primal Groudon with enhanced bulk and Heatproof. Whirlwind with this bulk also lets it stop sweeper Arceus sets, Calm Mind Kyogre and even GeoXern in their tracks.

Orbeetle Sprite

Pokemon Name: Orbeetle-Mega
Mega Stone Name: Orbite
Stats: 60 / 45 / 150 (+40) / 130 (+50) / 120 / 100 (+10) (605 BST)
Typing:
Bug-type
/
Psychic-type

Ability: Analytic
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Teleport, Whirlwind
Competitive Description: Mega Orbeetle is all about taking hits and forcing switches with the weight of its sheer impenetrability to get those sweet sweet Analytic boosts.

BTW is reserving allowed?
Nah, we're only gonna do certain mons per slate, it's not too much of a big deal if subs overlap.

Pokemon Name: Butterfree

Typing:
1578192725023.gif
1578192742430.gif

Ability: Compound Eyes
New Moves: Moonblast, Moonlight, Toxic
Competitive Description: I have always been a fan of Vivillion, but now that it’s gone it’s time to groom its successor! Mwahaha! Except that Butterfree can’t sleep spam like Vivillion in AG. Nevermind it can still do other things! (Not to mention that it is still good at sleep spam!) It is a capable set-up sweeper with Quiver Dance, while still being a powerful menace without set-up! It is incredibly fast, as well as giving support to the team with Tailwind, Whirlwind and Toxic. (Speaking how if Toxic, it can also run a set with Venoshock to defeat poisoned opponents, but I doubt that would be too popular.)
Of course, this Pokemon is far from perfect, with its crippling Defense making it a prime target for the rampant Physical attackers. Lack of an ability that helps it to sweep makes things a bit hard when a bit of extra power is preferred. Also, it’s Speed, while great, leaves it outsped by Dragapult, Choice Scarf users and others, allowing stuff like Sand Rush Excadrill to revenge kill it.

Edit: I doubt anybody is going to read this, but regarding the availability of Toxic for Butterfree post-home, would appreciate Toxic being changed to Wish. That is what I would have wanted.

Edit 2: GLuke’s retool fits perfectly! But if anyone wants to create a retool, keep in mind that Butterfree’s original purpose was to be a Pokémon’s that sends Pokemon to Sleep then sets-up in their face. Just as similar to Vivilion. In fact, Sleep Powder is the most defining feature it has from Volcarona.

Stats: 60 / 25 (-20) / 85 (+35) / 140 (+50) / 120 (+40) / 55 (-15)
Typing: Bug / Psychic
Ability: Tinted Lens
New Moves: Mystical Fire, Recover
Competitive Description: Whilst slow, Mega Butterfree is a powerful and hard to resist wallbreaker with good bulk, allowing it to abuse its much better coverage when put in conjunction with Tinted Lens and potentially pull off a sweep if positioned correctly. However, it falls quite easily to faster threats like Landorus-Therian and Garchomp, and fails to OHKO many important targets at +1 like Heatran.

Typing: Bug / Steel
Ability: Levitate
New Moves: Tail Glow, Flash Cannon, Rapid Spin
Competitive Description: Orbeetle is a fast support Pokemon capable of spinning away hazards relatively well and being a fast pivot with a wide range of resistances. However, it is also capable of abusing Tail Glow very well, potentially forcing Fire coverage onto other Pokemon due to how they are unable to harm it. However, it struggles very hard with Fire and Steel types naturally as it has no coverage for them.

Pokemon Name: Corviknight
Mega Stone Name: Corviknite
Stats: 98 / 112 (+25) / 140 (+35) / 58 (+5) / 90 (+5) / 97 (+30)
Typing: Steel / Flying
Ability: Steelworker
New Moves: Swords Dance, Bullet Punch
Notes: For Heavy Slam BP, Corviknite should add +0.4 m, +425 kg for better overall damage.
Competitive Description: Mega Corviknight is an alternative to Mega Scizor that utilizes more offensive ways of checking Fairies due to its weakness to Electric making it less of a Xerneas check. However, outside of this it is a solid Ground check and a fine answer to Arceus-Ground and other Arceus formes if investing into Special Defense. However, the lack of a good move to hit Fire types makes it considerable bait to defensive Primal Groudon as well as making it less efficient of a Defogger as a result. This also opens up a potential niche for regular Corviknight as it can be a better pivot in some scenarios, without taking up the Mega slot.

Typing: Bug/Psychic
Ability: Effect Spore
New Moves: Roost, Aura Sphere
Competitive Description: I based its ability from G-Befuddle, which cripples the opponent with either Sleep, Paralysis, or Poison. Much improved defenses and lack of double weaknesses allow it to set up a Quiver Dance without much trouble. It regains Roost to last longer in battle (and to potentially avoid Sucker Punch) while Aura
Sphere allows it to hit Steel types and Tyranitar hard.

Typing: Bug/Psychic
Ability: Magic Bounce
New Moves: Thunderbolt, Taunt
Competitive Description: High Speed, Taunt immunity, good bulk, and Recover allow Mega Orbeetle to be the most consistent Sticky Web setter. All those qualities also make Mega Orbeetle a competent Calm Mind sweeper. Thunderbolt gives it coverage against opponents like Corviknight while Taunt prevents Defog.

I'd like to point out that if this were to happen, M-Corviknight would be the only fully evolved Pokemon to get Haze and Prankster (Murkrow gets it too so have fun with that.) I know it's designed for Ubers, but its bulk and priority Haze would be very very very powerful and would add counterplay for pretty much everything that needs to set up, unless it were a dark type.

uber makes sense but i was hoping i could pull a mega garchomp for gmax corviknight

Ability: Intimidate
New Moves: Night Shade, Whirlwind
Competitive Description: An immensely bulky wall that will be a massive problem for most physical attackers, even in Ubers. Especially with Intimidate, a boosting set (and probably one with Taunt) is essentially mandatory for a non-Fire or Electric attacker to overwhelm it. Should prove a valuable Pokemon for teams that dislike Marshadow, Zacian, SD Arceus, and so on. Its special bulk is also quite good, allowing it to easily counter Xerneas lacking Thunder, but it does need to be wary of neutral heavy-hitters. Night Shade can be helpful since Corviknight's offenses are rather poor for Ubers, and Whirlwind ensures it has some sort of recourse against set-up moves.

Ability: Neuroforce
New Moves: Psystrike, Heat Wave, Nasty Plot
Competitive Description: Mega Orbeetle is a Special attacker to rival the likes of Mega Alakazam and Gengar in terms of raw power. Its stab combo can be a little iffy, but the Neuroforce ability means that coverage moves such as Heat Wave will do enough damage to break through annoying steels. Access to Psystrike ensures that even special walls such as Chansey aren't safe. Mediocre speed is a bit of an issue, but this can be remedied with Agility, and the addition of Nasty Plot allows for a dual setup option (or by itself for a set purely focused on wallbreaking). Numerous weaknesses, hazards, and priority keep it from easily decimating whole teams, however.

Pokemon Name: Butterfree
Mega Stone Name: Butterfrax
Stats: 60/ 15 (-30) / 50 / 150 (+60) / 80 / 140 (+70)
Typing:

/
flying.gif

Ability: Tinted Lens
New Moves: Encore, Destiny Bond
Competitive Description: Taking a look at Butterfree, it actually has an insane amount of good qualities (to an extent that even overcomes its iffy typing) but is damned by its poor stats. This mega repairs that in a manner similar to mega Beedrill, but retains Butterfree's excellent Tinted Lens ability. With this it is essentially unresisted, and can throw out Bug Buzz or Hurricane/Air Slash at whoever it pleases. Without Compound Eyes Sleep Powder is a bit risky, so Encore can be used to more reliably allow Quiver Dance setup. Even with SR and no boosts, Butterfree can be a deadly late-game sweeper.

ok now is time to vonte

EDIT: Oops, forgot to specify rules. Basically the same as MFA, pick 3 subs for each mon and order them by preference, don't put yourself first
