Pet Mod Z-Revival

Voting for AquaticPanic on the tiebreaker. With that out of the way...

Move Name: Spectral Surefire
User: Decidueye
Category: Special
Type: Ghost
BP: 100
Accuracy: --
Max PP: 16
Effects: N/A
Attributes: Cannot Miss (outside of protect, invulnerable turn of fly, etc)
Reasoning: With Decidueye's Special Attack (100) trailing not that far behind its Physical (107), I figured giving him a unique move option for one of each category of moves would suit him well to increase flexibility somewhat. The inability to miss is a bit of a nod to how Z moves can't, and the fact it's stronger than Shadow Ball means that it isn't just outclassed due to the side effect that SB has.

Move Name: Alolan Whip
User: Incineroar
Category: Physical
Type: Dark
BP: 85
Accuracy: 90
Max PP: 8
Effects: Ignores Protect/Detect/etc. and lifts their effects for the turn.
Attributes: Contact. Priority +1.
Reasoning: Incineroar's kinda slow. Actually, it's really slow. Here's a Z-take with some base on a "move" that technically exists already because of Incineroar's side special in Smash Ultimate. It's basically Feint but a bit more practical, which not only fits with the heel status Incineroar has, but the fact it ignores protection moves is a nod to how Command Grabs ignore shields. Giving it +2 priority would be a bit too cheeky, however, so I settled for +1.

Move Name: Rainstorm Sonata
User: Primarina
Category: Special
Type: Water
BP: 120
Accuracy: 90
Max PP: 8
Effects: N/A
Attributes: Sound
Reasoning: Just a hard hitting water move, much like how Oceanic Operetta has the highest base power of the starter Z-moves. Nothing much else to say here, honestly.

Move Name: Sparkling Aria
User: Primarina
Category: Special
Type: Water
BP: 85
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 8
Effects: Deals double damage if the user is burned, then cures the burn.
Attributes: Sound
Reasoning: Everybody knows Present will heal the target some of the time but this move always stuck out to me. How on earth did they think healing the target's burn for the exact same damage as Surf was a good idea? In any case, Primarina is the only Mon to learn this so it essentially already has a signature move that is conveniently tied to the Z-move already. Buffing this would be a good idea instead of letting this move just rot in how outclassed it is without the Primarina Z-crystal.

:sm/decidueye:
Move Name: Arrow Raid
User: Decidueye
Category: Physical
Type: Ghost
BP: 50
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 16
Effects: Hits twice. Each hit has a high critical hit ratio
Attributes: N/A
Reasoning: A stronger alternative to Spirit Shackle with the added benefit of one of the highest natural chances to crit due to both hits having separate 12.5% chances, making the chances about 23.4% for at least 1 to crit.
:sm/incineroar:
Move Name: Lionsault
User: Incineroar
Category: Physical
Type: Dark
BP: 100
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 16
Effects: Deals super effective damage to Fighting-types. 25% recoil
Attributes: Contact, Perfect Accuracy + Double damage vs Minimized opponents
Reasoning: A little stronger than Knock Off and more spammable for offensive sets while nailing usual resists that now have to be extremely careful switching in
:sm/primarina:
Move Name: Deep Sea Finale
User: Primarina
Category: Special
Type: Water
BP: 130
Accuracy: 90%
Max PP: 8
Effects: Lowers the user's Special Attack by 2 after use if it hits
Attributes: Sound
Reasoning: Moves is basically say "and scene" in Pokemon terms, cuz you'll nuke something and make a grand exit next turn anyway

Move Name: Sinister Arrow
User: Decidueye
Category: Special
Type: Ghost
BP: 75
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 16
Effects: 100% chance to lower enemy SpD
Attributes: N/A
Reasoning: Special variant of fire lash for decidueye. Synergizes with spirit shackle but you have to go mixed in order for it to work (i did this on purpose bc trapping + lower defense is very good). good for wallbreaking and breaking past would-be switchins. flavor is that the arrow is cursed.

Voting for cordeliafrey's Evoboost!

Move Name: Overgrown Arrows
User: Decidueye
Category: Physical
Type: Grass
BP: 85
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 16
Effects: Double power (170) if the opponent is trapped. Several large, close-range wooden arrows fired at a cornered opponent.
Attributes: Contact
Reasoning: Much like a Z-Move, this new signature is much more effective when you know your opponent can't/won't escape. And, similarly the original Z-Move, you (essentially) need Spirit Shackle to use it. Kind of like Fishious Rend/Beak Bolt, but less spammable due to the clause for double damage being more specific- you can't really abuse it with a Band/Scarf either. However, it's still obviously a fantastic move- Grass is one of the most resisted types, but since few viable mons have Sap Sipper this will still deal good damage to most Pokemon after they're Spirit Shackled. Makes Decidueye much more threatening, although it should be played cautiously due to average speed and certain mons (Dark types, Normal types, Sap Sippers) easily being able to get around its effect.

Move Name: Moonsault Press
User: Incineroar
Category: Physical
Type: Dark
BP: 90
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 16
Effects: For 5 turns, Pokemon hit by this move are prevented from healing. A savage attack from above that is not easy to recover from.
Attributes: Contact
Reasoning: Incineroar can be a dastardly technical Pokemon in singles and doubles with crafty moves like Throat Chop, Parting Shot, Snarl, Will-O-Wisp and the like, but its Z-Move was always about brute force. Moonsault Press maintains that spirit by restricting the opponent from using moves like Recover or Roost, allowing Incineroar to break through even the bulkiest walls if they're not careful. As a Dark move it could be spammed effectively with a Choice Band, although a more pivot-like set with Parting Shot or U-Turn could also be good so that Pokemon effective against Incineroar (Milotic, etc.) can be dealt with by another party member while they still lack their recovery capabilities.

Move Name: Deafening Operetta
User: Primarina
Category: Special
Type: Water
BP: 140
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 8
Effects: After taking damage, the target's ability becomes Soundproof. A beautiful but ear-piercing aquatic song
Attributes: Sound
Reasoning: Primarina had one of the most powerful Z-Moves and is also my favorite, so it only makes sense to make its new signature move powerful as well. The translation is fairly simple- Oceanic Operetta was a powerful Water type sound move, so it makes sense to get a Water-type Boomburst. This would obviously be a bit too broken on its own with solid coverage, insane power and no drawbacks, so the opponent is made effectively immune to the move after it has successfully hit once. This means that while the move can perhaps be abused with Choice items, if it doesn't OHKO the opponent gets a free turn. However, it does have the added benefit of replacing the opponent's ability with one that ideally won't be as much of an issue for the rest of your team. (No regeneration for Toxapex!) Many mons will be easily finished off by a Moonblast after taking this move boosted by Mystic Water or Life Orb, but Primarina's poor speed means it won't always happen.

its time to vote again! same voting rules as last slate. Vote for 1 submission for each Pokemon. If you submitted 1 move, you get 1 self vote. If you submitted 2 or 3 moves, you get 2 self votes.

Decidueye
:
-Spiderpig2398's Spectral Surefire
-Yoshiblaze's Arrow Raid
-pileosand's Sinister Arrow
-6Roggenrolas' Overgrown Arrows

Incineroar:
-Spiderpig2398's Alolan Whip
-Yoshiblaze's Lionsault
-6Roggenrolas' Moonsault Press

Primarina:
-Spiderpig2398's Rainstorm Sonata
-Yoshiblaze's Deep Sea Finale
-cordeliafrey78's buffed Sparkling Aria
-6Roggenrolas' Deafening Operetta

one other thing, the tiebreaker voting for Eevee ended 2-1 in favor of cordeliafrey78
Move Name: Evoboost
User: Eevee and Eeveelutions
Category: Status
BP: N/A
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 16
Effects: Increases the user's two highest stats by one stage. Chooses stat based on the raw number. For example, a Timid Espeon with 252 SpA and 252 Spe would have the stat spread of 121/156/359/226/350, which would mean its Special Attack and Speed would rise. Another example is a Jolly Leafeon with 252 Atk and 252 Spe. So Leafeon normally has its highest base stats as Def (130) and Atk (110) with Speed at a middling 95, but here it would gain what is essentially a Dragon Dance.
Attributes: N/A
Reasoning: Making a useful move for each of the Eeveelutions that doesn't just work like a clone of Clangorous Soul would be more useful to the Eevelutions, I feel. They are also created with the idea of having many different routes to take in mind, so this could work along with that by allowing the player to influence the stat up they gain.

voting ends January 26th.

next slate should be up tomorrow.

Slate 3: 4 for 1 Deal

The next slate is for the four Tapus. There will be a special rule for this slate. You can choose to submit one move that will be shared by all four Tapus, or one move for each Tapu.

Category: Fairy
Type: Special
BP: -
Effect: The opposing Pokemon loses 75% of their current HP

Voting will be done for each individual Tapu, unless all moves that are submitted are shared moves.

Slate closes in a week, on February 13

Move Name: Guardian of the Storm
User: Tapu Koko
Category: Physical
Type: Electric
BP: 85
Accuracy: 90
Max PP: 5
Effects: If target is paralyzed, does double damage. If not, the user is switched out for another random Pokémon in the party and the target is paralyzed.
Attributes: n/a
Reasoning: Just the ultimate power move for Tapu Koko, making use of it's high physical stat to pull off a strong hit.

Move Name: Guardian of Life
User: Tapu Lele
Category: Special
Type: Psychic
BP: 100
Accuracy: 90
Max PP: 10
Effects: 50% chance to heal user by 2/3 of their health and do 1/2 damage, otherwise deals full damage and takes 1/6 of the user's heath.
Attributes: n/a
Reasoning: I wanted to give the guardian of life a chance to either take it or give it, and thought it was a cool idea. Might need nerfed though.

Move Name: Guardian of Earth
User: Tapu Bulu
Category: Physical
Type: Grass
BP: 80
Accuracy: 90
Max PP: 5
Effects: If Grassy Terrain is active, does 1.5x damage, otherwise the move leech seeds the opponent and the user has 1.5x defense.
Attributes: n/a
Reasoning: I wanted to fit a leech seed side effect and honestly was having trouble, so this one probably isn't good, but I thought that it could either be a heavy hit or a set up machine.

Move Name: Guardian of the Sea
User: Tapu Fini
Category: Status
Type: Water
BP: n/a
Accuracy: Can't miss
Max PP: 5
Effects: The user loses 1/2 of their HP and their defense and special defense are now 2x. Places a heal block on the user for 3 turns.
Attributes: n/a
Reasoning: I wanted Fini to have a more passive move instead of all the other's attacks, basically just a better Belly Drum with stakes.

These probably need nerfed a lot haha, sorry if they're bad

Move Name: Guardian's Protection
User: Tapu Koko
Category: Physical
Type: Electric
BP: 50
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 20
Effects: Switches user out after hitting the attack. Incoming Pokemon takes 1/2 damage when coming in.
Attributes: Contact
Reasoning: In Sun and Moon, Tapu Koko is shown to protect Nebby and the player in the beginning, so having a move like this would give it a move to use for pivoting things around safely and thus protect them.

Move Name: Guiltless Annihilation
User: Tapu Lele
Category: Special
Type: Psychic
BP: 250
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 5
Effects: User faints upon usage.
Attributes: n/a
Reasoning: Honestly I'm submitting this one for fun more than anything. Who wouldn't want this cute Pokemon to end one of their own Pokemon utterly? Also its Ultra Moon Pokedex Entry: Although called a guardian deity, Tapu Lele is devoid of guilt about its cruel disposition and can be described as nature incarnate.

It will kill you.

Move Name
: New Tides
User: Tapu Fini
Category: Special
Type: Water
BP: 50
Accuracy: 100
Max PP: 5
Effects: Removes everything Defog does, except for terrain. Sets up Aqua Ring.
Attributes: n/a
Reasoning: Defog deleting terrain is detrimental to Tapu Fini, so here's a Rapid Spin clone that makes Aqua Ring for Tapu Fini's bulk.

Category: Special
Type: Electric
BP: 80
Accuracy: 100%

A pretty simple move that allows Raichu-Alola to be used on Tapu Koko Rain teams.

Move Name: Pancake Press
User: Snorlax
Category: Physical
Type: Normal
BP: -
Accuracy: 100%
Max PP: 16
Effects: Uses Special Defense instead of Attack for damage, BP is determined like Heavy Slam.
Attributes: Contact
There are already so many physical Normal type attacks, so I tried to be unique with this one. It acts as a Normal type mixture of Body Press and Heavy Slam, except it bases it's damage from it's higher Special Defense, rather than Defense.

Move Name: Cover Up

Type: Fairy
BP: -
Accuracy: -
Max PP: 32
Effects: Move will fail unless used by Mimikyu-Busted. Cannot be used two turns in a row. User gains +1 Defense and transforms into regular Mimikyu.
Attributes: N/A
A pretty large departure from the base move, but Mimikyu already has a good Fairy STAB in play rough. While I probably think that this move would be pretty broken in Gen 7, the Disguise nerf makes it less spammable. Mimikyu would essentially use it similarly to how Substitute is.

Not much to say about this one, just a downscaled version of Genesis Supernova.
