There is no reason to not commit to one side or the other. "X could be scum, but maybe not" is meaningless CWAC and does nothing to help town.

Who said anything about self voting? The way I read it, Heury was talking about what he expected you to do (i.e. vote him). You are right about self-votes though. I have no idea why heury would do this, especially after you saying it's suspicious. There might be town motivations to do this, but I don't think the resulting confusion helps town.

I thought about this a bit more and I don't recall heury to pull gambits like this. My memorioes aren't clear enough to tell if town!heury would do crazy stuff in RVS just for giggles, but gut feels says no.

Jalmont's normal mood alternates between being a dry jokester, a blunt speaker, and a problem solver when he has the proper information. Claiming that he wishes he was innocent child to be able to do nothing is... kind of a something I could imagine him doing as either alignment. It's a post that gives specific personality information regarding a state of mind, but vague enough to not actually mean anything. I have more specific theories on what this means for his role than it does for his alignment, but I don't want to expand upon the town side too deeply in case I later unvote him. In the context of scum though, I do get a lot of "rip, I'm less important than I wanted to be" vibes, meaning if he's scum I think he's almost certainly a normal goon. town side there's a lot of other interpretations for his lack of excitement.
