Crisis in CK9++ City [Serial Killer Wins]

Of everyone who has posted, I'm getting general good or null vibes from them all. The two smallest of small redflags come from Sultan who seems to be pushing a stronk "find scum agenda" which by itself is good but when they are arguing against the innocent child it feels a bit weird. And then when somitomi opened by saying they won't be able to keep up with the thread due to the current post count, it looks a bit sus as a preemptive excuse for future inactivity. However, their second post was short but a lot more to the point and I think was relatively towny in tone and seemed like they generally wanted to ask caffbo a question and genuinely wanted us to consider heury.

Because of this I want to try someone who hasn't posted.

An Explosion howdy.

(apologies about the spelling mistakes in the previous post)
Gonna re-read stuff to see if I missed anything on the first pass...
Not voting you for that, but FoS Heuryalone for ignoring WoM that said confirmations could happen in PMs.
Seems like a couple people glossed over details in the opening post and the setup, and I don't think mistakes like this are alignment indicative. For example:
per the title...
Thanks and apologies for missing it.
From my experience, it is just far better if we scumhunt immediately.
Yeah, RVS usually doesn't provide much information, but I think it does help to start the conversation.
On to the new posts:
fellow smogoners. do you prefer this type of post over dogspeak? I feel like they accomplish the same things, but one is usually a lot funnier (and shorter) than the other.
I, for one, could do without either, but what really puzzles me is why you followed this up with a long-winded explanation for your random vote. Either it's a random vote and the explanation is utter hogwash, or the vote is more serious than you initially let on and the immediate unvote with (apparently legitimate) reasoning seems to indicate the latter. If so, why disguise it as a random vote? And if I'm wrong, why did you immediately unvote after a random vote? Why did you provide an actual reason for doing so?

Innocent child means confirmed town, not confirmed right.

Innocent child means confirmed town, not confirmed right.

It was more of taking a stab at rvs, then trying to see if any good reasons could be made to support the rv, and then evaluating those reasons. If my "best argument" for a random player didn't sound that convincing to even me, then I figured it was a waste of a vote.

Absolutely no idea what you mean by your last line. Yes, innocent child means confirmed town. Not sure what you mean by just confirmed in your later half of the sentence though?

anyway, lemme take a spin on the RVS wheel, and then attempt to later backtrack and claim I actually have valid reasons for where I land when I really don't.

**vote jalmont**

Jalmont's normal mood alternates between being a dry jokester, a blunt speaker, and a problem solver when he has the proper information. Claiming that he wishes he was innocent child to be able to do nothing is... kind of a something I could imagine him doing as either alignment. It's a post that gives specific personality information regarding a state of mind, but vague enough to not actually mean anything. I have more specific theories on what this means for his role than it does for his alignment, but I don't want to expand upon the town side too deeply in case I later unvote him. In the context of scum though, I do get a lot of "rip, I'm less important than I wanted to be" vibes, meaning if he's scum I think he's almost certainly a normal goon. town side there's a lot of other interpretations for his lack of excitement.
Yeah in hindsight I meant “do nothing with no consequences”

JALMONT Having your namesake role again would be nice. The big dick energy I had in Rewind was pretty fun, though I haven't been able to replicate it since.

Cancerous That's not how you sell yourself.

somitomi It's weird, but on its own it's NAI. I can't really make a read off it without more content from him.

HeaLnDeaL Jal pretty much epitomizes the word lowkey in my experience. Also, I don't like either way of speaking. You get the villa leader role by acting Townie, not by talking fancy.

I hate it when i show up and everyone stops posting.
You're too intimidating

Whoa. It's been less than twelve hours since game start and we're at three pages already? I definitely won't be able to keep up with this.

I get that this is a joke, but again, we're past the point where the only possible contribution is saying hello. Could we cut down on the fluff? Thanks

My eyes hurt just from looking at this wall of text and I have to read it, because there's a vote at the end of it. Ugh
...

And there wasn't even any justification for it in this mess. FoS Cancerous
That's just hopping on the easy wagon...
It's only 25 posts per page here somi, so 3 pages isn't as much as you may think it is.

I don't get why Somitomi is calling out Cancerous for his first couple posts. It's still early game and playing with players who roleplay and add a lot of "fluff is common d1. On a separate note, I'm feeling Cancerous as pro town right now.

That's kind of backwards to me. You don't need any kind of reason to support a random vote and it's weird that you tried building a case on a randomly (?) selected player after voting them instead of the other way around. Especially because that particular player had one ingame post that didn't say "Kill Bloodyrain" so evidently you couldn't come up with a strong reasoning. It would've made more sense to pick someone else to analyse and then possibly vote based on that.
Absolutely no idea what you mean by your last line. Yes, innocent child means confirmed town. Not sure what you mean by just confirmed in your later half of the sentence though?
Perhaps I should've used quotation marks to say: Innocent child means "confirmed town", not "confirmed right". The point is that while there could be no argument about Bloodyrain's alignment, their reasoning, analysis or observations can be questioned. Town can always be wrong so I think it's perfectly reasonable to disagree with an innocent child just like any other player.
Yeah in hindsight I meant “do nothing with no consequences”
Sorry if I'm too snarky, but you aren't the innocent child so how about actually doing something?

I'm here, it just takes a while to write a post.

Huh, I was about to say "we didn't do a lot of roleplaying in the forum I used to play in", but you know where I come from. I guess I'm channeling Bessie (because she's great and I miss her) and just grilling whoever looks the least bit off to me. On that note:
Oh and Somi, you calling me the easy wagon, but that's the first vote one me. Do you think I'm an easy wagon mislynch or easy wagon scum?
Obviously in that context I meant "easy mislynch", my impression was that many people were/are suspicious of you and Cancerous voting you without any apparent reasoning felt a bit like mafia hoping to get a wagon going. In hindsight it's entirely possible I misinterpreted something, so I'll wait for Cancerous to clarify.
(note: this doesn't mean I think Heury's definitely town)

im good chief thx tho

Greetings, my fellow citizens of whom I do identify with. It is great to be able to have the ability to observe your good health in both physical and mental category.

Aeons passed since the exact moment in which I had made my excellent suggestion to draw out a perfectly unfailable path of action for you, fellow citizens whose allegiance belong to the faction known as town, to take and without fail, usher us into a new age of scumless development and unprecedented peace and prosperity, as well assl a reliable internet connection and extremely low taxes, yet highly beneficial benefits.
Alas, the way to progress is always never without resistance. Certain individuals, misguided and malicious, possibly both, stands in our victory road. They are Buffon's, fools, ignoramuses. They do not comply to the plan in which I, cancerous, professional town leader, have made for you, my fellow countrymen who are as patriotic as you are reasonable, to follow. That is because they fear. They fear for they are, evidently, not necessarily in the same alignment as the rest of us. They fear because they rightly should. They fear and their fear dictate their actions. And their actions project their fears.
Scums of their ilk do not deserve a painless death, yet we will generous grant them that. For we belong to the faction of righteousness and kindness. We are the paragons in which we ourselves look up to and aspire to be.
So I ask you, fellow citizens, whose identities concide with mine, to take up your arm against the infidels, to show them the error of their way via asphyxiation, to gently yet firmly squeeze out the influence of evils from their breathes.

Okay, this guy is definitely up to something.

oof, guess I've been using discord too much if I did ** ** instead of bold.

in any event I think my paragraph attempting to explain why my random vote was correct instead makes me feel slightly better about jalmont actually, so don't think I'll vote him after. **unvote**
definitely too much discord

completely disagree with your analysis of jalmont feels like you're pulling way too much out of things that aren't there
guess I can kinda respect it tho

woah what this gave me whiplash

I'm rereading Rewind right now. It's only good for gleaning Clarinet tells (and maybe some me tells if you can filter out how fearless I was with a Hider role under my belt), but that was a game where Clarinet deepwolfed, so....

a lot of your stuff parses as tryhard townie but I feel like it's being forced out and not coming from a consistent worldbuilding/solving perspective
