Crisis in CK9++ City [Serial Killer Wins]

Just so I'm interpreting this right, are panic and/or canc reading smogon and heury as a scum duo? Or is it more of nervous speculation than an actual read?
I think so
but there was an interesting backpedal where they claimed to miss a "then" in one of my posts or something and that changed their perception of my posts
if heury isn't scum cancerous most likely is

Being on and posting are two different things. Anyhow Id allow 9.5 hours if I'd said 8 ish hours. I got a life. And Ive never just posted after being "called out". Ive always posted what I meant to when I meant to, regardless of others' feelings. And when I asked if I should claim one person said yes while one said no, so I compromised.
That was a questionable choice. At least you could've waited for more people to chime in on this.
somitomi heuryalone tell me about the other's meta? I'm assuming you guys used to play together
We did, but it's been a while. I honestly couldn't put a finger on the difference between town!heury and scum!heury with a gun to my head. That D1 gambit was definitely not something I expected from him, but we've both seen someone else do stuff like that so I can see him coming up with it on his own.

vote heuryalone
Clarinet is really the only who openly expressed correctly that I may be baiting mafia. Hence the reason I mentioned Clarinet being able to elaborate. Didnt want to say then because I wanted more first posters to react to me.

Clarinet is my number one town read. I like the town mindset, and even though while reading Rewind I thought Clarinet was town and was wrong, this game feels a little more focused and less controlled by scum mates.
Heury was really friendly with scum clar, and was definitely the only player to be so forward about it / the only one to trust clarinet that much iirc.

I think it was more of a PR slip than a soft, which is why I'm town reading Panic Station.
Heury telling scum their town PR reads is anti-town.

Send me a room code. Ill join in :D

I dont think I should be today's lynch. If I survive the night, then tomorrow I can be your lynch.
Heury says they can be lynched tomorrow, just not today. They imply that they'd prolly survive the night.

heury also joined the jackbox server but then refused to play

It's fine that I'm night kill tonight. That way a lynch won't be wasted on me.
Heury later says a lynch would be wasted on them. They imply they won't survive the night.

Quotes 3 and 4 are pages apart but they sorta just ping me as heury trying to slightly rewrite the narrative, inching the needle forward (or backward, if heury assumed they lived to day 3 at first and then assumes he dies before then later). Quote number 1 is prolly the most convincing to me though, since I find it weird for a townie paying attention to the thread to have defended clar so hard when clar was so scattered.

Now announcing the current votecount:
heuryalone [3] - Panic Station, Cancerous, HeaLnDeaL
Fenrir Aesir [1] - Thunder~BALLZ
HeaLnDeaL [1] - JALMONT
Thunder~BALLZ [1] - heuryalone
Cancerous [1] - smogon account

Was Somitomi the first vote on Clarinet? Based on Clarinet's success from Rewind and Somi's natural tendency to vote where told, I could clarinet telling scum buddy somi to vote him. Typical somi I dont expect to see as the first name on a wagon for someone voted off, nor do I think I've ever seen this.

clarinet hard bussed his partner d1 in shots NOC and somitomi seems to be hiding behind wallposts without too much content while ignoring suspision on him. posting style, reminds me of SB from last game and what I did in white flag

If uto is scum, then somi is town and tomorrow Im likely the lynch if Im alive leaving to great chance of scum winning. If somi is scum, uto is town. I dont see him bussing here. My personal choice here is lynch somi, and if they're town, lynch uto. If somi scum then leaning on fenrir being the scum partner.

To me the sort of semi-aggressive nothing-much-to-lose attitude coupled with the questioning made me think sultan was likely a powerless or a low power role (or that he was third party), so him flipping VT makes sense to me, but at the same time then it seems really weird that scum would want to kill him. Maybe a town vig killed him, but seeing as no one has claimed responsibility for it yet I'd say it's prolly more likely that we have scum team + sk. idk, I sorta get the utility of trying to kill the confirmed town, not really sure how killing sultan really benefits scum.

Fenrir Aesir hi, how was your night and can you give me updated thoughts. Curious what you have to say in particular.
My night went well, thanks for asking. I'm gonna look over things again, but instinct says Clarinet probably wasn't being bussed since Tailor's a pretty strong role if I recall and he didn't really pull ahead in votes until the last few minutes. At the very least heavily doubt that either you or Cancerous was bussing, will head back to look at Somi/Clarinet interactions. Clarinet apparently being present (hate that gif btw jfc) and not taking advantage of the people suggesting other wagons makes me think something's up there. Off the top of my head that's heury/somi/Panic so also planning on giving those ISOs some attention. Cancerous had a vote at EoD but I don't think that wagon was getting much attention unless I'm misremembering.

Looking at the Explosion counterwagon also raises a question since in the same post where Clarinet votes Explosion to try and save themselves they also seemed to be conceding. Probably NAI since it's just self-pres, but they did choose to stay on Explosion instead of taking advantage of other stuff mentioned above.

I'll also read D2 so far while I check out this stuff.

As far as Skook goes, I didn't have them in the townpile myself but I doubt them as a vig shot just because so many others were townreading him. Even Explosion would've been a better shot for the sake of potential wagon solving. Don't see a reason for a town vig to claim if they did shoot him, though.

Quickest quote collation: Clar on Thunder

I don't think Clar spils tea on someone like this unless he's trying to plant the seeds of a mislynch.
Going to disagree here, though you're right in that it seems pointless to throw out shade the way Clarinet did if Thunder's a partner. In the full post though Clarinet was asked about me, Jalmont, and Thunder, and Thunder is the only one to get an actual read even though all 3 of us were inactive at the time:
I've made 2 attempts when it comes to Jal, I can't do anything else.
Fenrir? Not sure if he has posted, I can't recall anything

and Thunder...allow me to be a bit sly...There have been posts in a past game where Moody? or someone else mentioned that Thunder absent points to him being scum. I think his friends know better so I take their word at face value
Which makes me consider this as a possible attempt to distance from an inactive partner.

You have Jalmont on the scummy side from Clarinet's interaction though and I'm also liking Heal more than you seem to, so maybe we have different vibes regarding interactions. How did Clarinet @ Jalmont mirror Rewind Clarinet @ Moody like you mentioned?

Heury today regarding interactions with Clarinet feels very self-conscious. Don't like the halfway claim with only being like "I'm a PR" without saying which one, don't like that claim being juxtaposed with "Clarinet flipping makes me look bad, should I just claim?" and don't like the high amount of setup/nightkill speculation that follows it.

Cancerous think you might be kind of deep in the tunnel here. While I can see heury/Clarinet for the reasons I mentioned above, Mikey's stance on Clarinet doesn't look that incriminating to me. If heury flips wolf I think Mikey would definitely be worth another look given the posts you quoted where Mikey was describing heury as twtbaw, but I don't see it if we're going on interactions with flipped scum combined with Mikey's other posts so far.

I’m lynching fenrir cause scum called me out yesterday for being inactive but not fenrir /shrug
Fenrir started posting. Got a take on my distancing theory, or anything? Jalmont has similarly few posts, vibes there?

As a general question, when did we graduate from "Skook probably wasn't vigged" to "There's definitely an SK in the setup"? I agree it's more likely but I feel like I missed something where people are taking it as an assumed truth.
This is a take. A me/somi world would mean I sat there at EoD while Clarinet got wagoned and decided to vote my partner as opposed to Explosion.

so I'm guessing too wolfy to be wolf can have a lot of connotations, but ever since I joined mafia 451, I've been much more involved with I guess with a strategy equivalent that I've loosely referred to as town theatering (this being my own loose term, since I don't really have a lot of mafia official jargon and so I make up my own when I need to). The goal of town theatering is for a town player to purposely act scummy to avoid a night kill.

however, my own history of town theatering heavily involves around finding a moment in the game where I am exceptionally safe to get away with it. The first time I ever town theatered, it was day 1 and another player gladiated someone else, making it literally impossible for me to be lynched. Before the gladiate I acted cautious, but after it I sort of just tried to think how I could take advantage of it and that's when I decided to act scummy/over the top. In order to get away with it and to later claim that it was just an act when I needed to share my tracking results with town and be believed, I also hid a secret message in one of my town theatering messages via having the first word in every sentence explain the strategy; "act scummy to live the night." There was a lot of animosity towards me at different parts of the game, but by the time I finally revealed everything I had enough pieces to string it together that I was indeed town, and the townies were able to believe me. I still ended up losing the game though due to other reasons x.x

Since then I've tried a number of games of doing different versions, including ones where I didn't care about looking town as long as I looked way too outrageous to be scum. But there's always been a limit, there's always that safety rope to pull me back.

idk, I don't want to ramble too much, and I know I'm definitely not heuryalone. But what I'm trying to say is that all the games where I've played intentionally over the top, there was still a logic behind it, there was still a goal I wanted to accomplish.

And I'm trying to put myself in heury's shoes right now and see the goal and the full plan of behind why a town heury would act the way he has acted. And I'm not exactly seeing it. Maybe he can elaborate, maybe someone else can see it, or maybe I'm just heckin' weird and I shouldn't try to judge other people based on my past experiences.
