[SET COMMENTS]
This set plays as a setup sweeper and a good pressure against Pokémon like Cobalion, Heliolisk, and Celebi thanks to a great speed tier and a solid Special Attack. However, Salazzle struggles against Gigalith, and a poor bulk makes it difficult for Salazzle Toxic, thanks to its ability Corrosion, makes the move very spammable because there are no drawbacks. Flamethrower can be an option over Fire Blast for reliability of not wasting your turn, which can change the game.
Bronzong, Virizion, and Tsareena make good teammates, as they can check Gigalith. Tsareena makes for an especially nice partner for Salazzle, as it can bring in Galarian Weezing and Escavalier for Salazzle to exploit and take advantage of. Salazzle is vulnerable to Ground-types such as Rhyperior, Mamoswine, and Flygon, si Specially Defensive Galarian Weezing can check and counter Mamoswine and Flygon, two of the tier’s best special attackers. Golisopod can provide Spikes support against Gigalith, and Mamoswine can can pressure Rhyperior, Gigalith, Flygon, and check Noivern. Guts Machamp can help check Rhyperior for Salazzle. Machamp can also switch into pressure Gigalith, and it can also handle bulky Water-types like Milotic and Mantine, which can soft check Salazzle. Psychic-types like Choice Scarf Gardevoir can check Salazzle. Pair it with Gigalith to check Noivern and Scarf Gardevoir, as well as providing Stealth Rock support against opposing Gigalith. Doublade appreciates Salazzle spreading Toxic and weakening bulky Water-types for Doublade to sweep late game. In return, Doublade can handle Gigalith, Chandelure, and Gardevoir for Salazzle. Heliolisk and Rotom-Mow would be nice mentions, for their ability to bring in Roserade, Celebi, and Umbreon, and they help to check bulky water types. They also act as pivots, for Salazzle’s bulk means that it heavily relies on free switchins to come in.

[SET COMMENTS]
This set turns Salazzle into a great win condition that can spread status and annoy foes. It struggles with Gigalith, but all the more Rock Blast, which can break Substitute and easily KO Salazzle. Salazzle also has a great Speed tier and a respectable Special Attack stat. Substitute gives Salazzle an almost guaranteed turn to spread Toxic against foes that might set up hazards. Protect can protect Salazzle after the substitute is broken to expose the foe’s strategy. Flamethrower is a good STAB move for reliability.
Salazzle relies on spinners in order to ensure a safe entry. Thus, two great partners would be Tsareena and Claydol, for both have access to Rapid Spin. Claydol especially makes for a good partner, as it can pivot to Salazzle using Teleport. Furthermore, Claydol has access to Levitate, which makes it a check to the Ground-types Salazzle is weak to. Salazzle is still vulnerable to Water-types due to its poor bulk, so Heliolisk would make a good partner, because it is immune to Water-type moves and can easily KO foes like Milotic and Mantine with STAB.
