[SET COMMENTS]
Drampa's sky-high Special Attack when backed up by Choice Specs turns it into one of RU's deadliest wallbreakers, able to 2HKO virtually every Pokemon in the tier. Flamethrower is a natural complement to Drampa's STAB attacks, hitting Steel-types like Copperajah and Steelix incredibly hard. Dragon Pulse is taken for the primary fourth move, as it gives Drampa a spammable Dragon-type STAB move without the drawbacks of Draco Meteor. Alternatively, Energy Ball gives Drampa a reliable way of beating bulky Water-types, like Vaporeon as well as specially defensive Gastrodon and Jellicent. Sap Sipper is chosen to give Drampa a useful immunity to Grass-type attacks that gives it more switch-in opportunities and lets it support its teammates by blocking Vileplume's Strength Sap. 208 Speed EVs let Drampa outspeed maximum Speed Copperajah, allowing Drampa to torch it with Flamethrower before it can attack.
Drampa is easily forced out by Fighting-types, so Fairy- and Poisons that can handle them such as Silvally-Fairy, Aromatisse, Vileplume, and Weezing are helpful teammates. These Pokemon also appreciate Drampa's ability to check Charizard and Ninetales. Setup teammates like Virizion, Nasty Plot Alolan Raichu, and Nasty Plot Salazzle can take advantage of the holes Drampa punches in the opposing team. Mudsdale is a great partner for Drampa, as it can check Fighting-types well while setting up Stealth Rock to assist Drampa's wallbreaking efforts. In return, Drampa can safely take Grass- and Water-type attacks from Pokemon like Decidueye, Rotom-C, and Vaporeon. Steel-type teammates like Copperajah and Silvally-Steel can cover Drampa's Fairy and Ice weaknesses while chipping Steel-types with their Fire-type coverage moves. Aromatisse and Vaporeon can also pass Wish to Drampa to give it more longevity.

[SET COMMENTS]
Drampa's excellent defensive typing allows it to prey on common Ghost-, Grass-, and Fire-type Pokemon like Decidueye, Rotom-C, Charizard, and Ninetales to become a bulky wallbreaker that excels in shredding balanced teams. Flamethrower complements Dragon Pulse well, hitting the Steel-types like Silvally-Steel and Steelix that would otherwise wall this set. Hyper Voice is the primary option in the third slot to threaten Fairy-types like Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy that wouldn't mind Flamethrower. However, Calm Mind can be used to take advantage of free turns Drampa gets against the many Pokemon that can't damage it much, such as Vaporeon, Decidueye, and Vileplume, to blow huge holes in teams. Roost gives Drampa a way to offset residual damage, as well as allowing it to switch into resisted attacks much more comfortably. Chople Berry is used to be able to take one hit from a Fighting-type, like Bewear or Passimian, and heavily damage it in return. Sap Sipper is used to not take chip damage when coming in on predicted Grass-type moves. 36 Speed EVs allow Drampa to outspeed uninvested Rhydon and Dhelmise, as well as Gastrodon. Draco Meteor can be used over Dragon Pulse for a stronger Dragon-type STAB, but the Special Attack drops are counter-intuitive to the nature of the set.
Drampa is completely walled by Snorlax, so Fighting-types like Passimian and Bewear that can deal with it are nice to have. Fairy-types like Silvally-Fairy and Aromatisse also pose problems, so Steel-types like Copperajah, Steelix, and Silvally-Steel are good teammates. Fighting-types threaten to OHKO Drampa with their STAB attacks, so a teammate like Mudsdale can assist Drampa in handling them. Water-type teammates like Silvally-Water, Vaporeon, and Jellicent appreciate Drampa's ability to switch into Electric-types consistently and can aid it in defending against Ice-types.Powerful Grass- and Bug-type teammates like Virizion, Rotom-Mow, and Frosmoth appreciate Drampa's ability to handle Fire-types like Charizard and Ninetales.
