Pokemon: Sagivana
Type:
/
Design/Flavor: This line is based on the tulsi or holy basil plant, a medicinal plant used in Indian religious rituals. Sagivana evolves into Tulsivana when a Leaf Stone is used while in a temple or holy ground. Sagivana can be found commonly around the region, sitting on hills and roofs of homes to get as much sunlight as possible throughout the day. Their leaves are fragrant and are often used in the people's traditional meals.

Design/Flavor: The leaves of Tulsivana not only produce a calming odor but also have healing properties, being used to treat everything from stomachaches to the flu. As a result, the Pokemon is considered sacred, and many are housed at religious sites where people tend to their every need while delicately harvesting their leaves to produce medicines. Tulsivana stand upright on four thin, root-like legs, vaguely resembling Lilligant but without a flower and with rounded aromatic leaves. Its eyes are closed most of the time, only opening to gaze at the full moon on a clear night, revealing bright, lavender colored orbs.
Competitive: Tulsivana is a bulky Regenerator pivot with several support options like Aromatherapy, Wish, dual screens, and Stun Spore. Offensively, its only viable coverage move is Focus Blast alongside its Grass and Fairy STABs, though it also has access to Calm Mind should you want to run offensive sets. While Grass/Fairy has a double weakness to Poison and four other weaknesses, it has a Dragon immunity and useful resistances to Water, Ground, Fighting, Grass, Electric, and Dark.
