SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword and Shield Datamine Thread

> Ability: Unnerve + Spectrier's Grim (combined)

lol op didnt even try. fake as shit we can go home now. it was nice bait at the start but it fell to bits
Yeah as soon as I saw this I was all "you done fucked up a-ay-ron". Couldn't even keep the names straight.
They are true. Or do you want to tell me that the artworks are fake?
We've had incredibly convincing fake artworks before. Remember the Bug/Dragon fake from last Spring?

Least we forget Teravolt, Turboblaze, Full Metal Body, Shadow Shield, and Prism Armor. Maybe there's a hidden effect that's not mentioned in text.

To be precise Shadow Shield, unlike the rest, is not exactly the same. Shadow Shield can't be ignored by Mold Breaker or moves that have Mold Breaker effects.

The guy who wrote this dex entry: "I swear to drunk i'm not god"

Glacial lance is the ice horse’s signature move then, making it physical. Nice of GF to incorporate the jousting theme into a game based on Great Britain

Astral Baragge sounds like a multi-hit move, and the signature move of Ghost horse.

also sounds like both moves hit both Pokémon in doubles

I hope these Pokemon are real.

I felt like GF didn't take enough advantage of England's medieval history.

I don't know what's strange about that PokéDex entry, in fact, it sounds very "Pokémon" to me. I've already pinned this page for the laughs. The only odd thing to me is that they refused to share the name of the combined ability. But is that description so unbelivable in a Pokémon game? What is this, Ace Attorney?

I dunno, makes sense. Fierce warrior king on the battlefield but once the battle is over, its time for mercy. Battle's already over and all that
Still makes no sense, if you fight enemies in a war, which is what knights and kings do. You don't battle them and heal them after, so they continue to be a pain in the ass xD

I don't think these new legends had to be fused into one, but they deserved some love and be drawn with more creative elements.
with very little effort I can imagine an elaborated throne/saddle thing made of branches and fruits that connects both pokémon, another solution very similar to bulbasaur family would be that CROWN to bloom into a flower, or maybe adorned with thorns if the theme is better suited.

this final result would be a big disappointment if I had some expectations, like someone has stated before.

I dunno I see that trope happen in fiction from time to time. It may not be every enemy you bother with (& some refuse it) but it's like...a trop,e I"m pretty sure. Fire Emblem does similar, rip & tear your way through a battlefield and then hey if anyone's alive just surrender and we'll give assistance. Stuff like that.

One of the most common tropes in anime history. A warrior so strong but so kind-hearted that after defeating (not even killing) its enemies, lets them live because he sees no meaning in killing people, because of his noble heart, often earning the respect of friends and enemies alike.

I'm not telling you this couldn't be fake, I'm not 100% sure, but how can this sounds so odd to you? We are talking about a Pokémon game, a franchise that has already shown similar content in the past.

"Ability: Unnerve + Spectrier's Grim (combined)"

I wonder if it's a new ability (new name) combining these two, or the pokémon simply has 2 abilities.
Even though, Unnerve doesn't seem it's gonna be useful in the tier this mon probably will stay (predicting 600-700 BST)

I'm gonna be incredibly disappointed if Shadow Rider Calyrex is yet another special-oriented offensive psychic/ghost type. We just had Hoopa, Lunala and Necrozma-DW, and three of the last four special-oriented box legends (the fourth being Eternatus) having exactly the same dual typing would be pretty damn boring.

Grass/Ghost, on the other hand, could be pretty neat.

Actually, it does work in context of the chivalric ideal medieval kings/knights were supposed to aspire for. Fierce on the battlefield but merciful afterwards. It was an ideal that most medieval bishops constantly tried to push (usually without success).

Look, I don't have a side on wether or not to believe this, but I have a question about this image:

Where's Galarian Slowking?

Still can't believe they turned my boy Zapdos into a giant fried chicken roadrunner. Artiunco looks magnificent.

Meh on the Regis but the Ice Horse appears promising but on the whole like most of Gen VII and Gen VIII for me, they fail to thrill me.
