Biggest point of the reread so far is that I didn't realise how much Eagle was changing his opinions, like, all game. I knew he was going through lots of solves rn which is NAI but earlier his reads on shub and to a lesser extent Former seemed to shift more based on convenience of them being available wagons ig. Also I get kinda weird vibes from "Former has no reason to lie" as a reaction to the cop guilty? It's like "this is the correct play" which feels like it gives an easy out if Former retracted the claim.
Eagle, why did your opinion on shub change between
here and
here? I don't think shub had a single post between these points so it's weird to me that you're suddenly chill with them being lynched with your main point against it being that they're a low info lynch instead of the townread you had on them earlier.
the reason i'm changing my opinions a lot is because i overthink everything and am finding the game very difficult to get into -- i think about different scumteams etc and post walls of text that are often live processing of my thoughts - if you think i post a lot here, wait til you see how much i've been spamming nuxl's private message chat with thoughts and potential scumteams.
re: shub that post was unclear but iirc if you look at the post i'm referring to, #172 and #173, by 'responded well' i mean that they actually understood it was mainly a shitpost and responded to it in kind, rather than not understanding it. the 'same with shubaka' was abt the buddying up, not the townread on celever -- i think i didn't have a read on shubaka at this point. i don't think i had a read on him on the next post you're referring to either.
re: former -- i was against the former vote initially because it's dangerous to vote off an experienced player first round and leave only one other experienced player there. celever and dusk went in hard on former and at that point i townread them both and had a lot of doubts abt everything so i think my opinion was swayed here more against former, but the reasoning celever and dusk used was solid i didn't think former's defence held up well at all (it didn't). by the time it got to dusk vs former at EoD i was weirded out by how confident dusk was that former was maf when literally no-one else was that confident, so i had it down as one of them had to be maf, and based on logic and celever going in on him too and how susceptible i am to other people's opinions feeding my own i thought it was more likely to be former. i think you can see as you watch my post progression that i'm less and less confident on it being former over dusk but idunno if i kept that in my head
but more importantly,
have you forgotten your own EoD? you voted former too? i actually noted down at EoD how you were sort of buddying up to me, trying to get a mindmeld read, based on 1) vocally hating how EoD was going (#460, #474), 2) hedging bets on former vs dusk (#498) and then eventually voting former relatively out the blue (#614) -- but then you go 'oh thinking back i gave tommy too much of a pass' (#798) -- imo you come off really bad this whole interaction (former also noted this iirc)
Made it to the end of D1.
Eagle pushed one scum in Tommy/Former hard at phase end yesterday to the point that I'm worried because it looks like lining up lynches if Tommy really is town. I'm also very iffy on how they handled shub at phase end (they barely mentioned them) despite seeming to waffle a bit on Former and if it was correct + there's the "if Tommy and Former is TvT we've already lost" line which feels like another "correct play" justification thing for their actions. I wanna recheck how they handled Tommy today bc I know they've since shifted off of Tommy but kinda just skimmed their posts earlier because I was townreading them.
i mean fair i mentioned that it would be an ideal situation for maf if tommy vs former is t/t but i didn't think it was -- but again, this feels like a weird point to make because that's exactly what you did by voting former and going 'actually i gave dusk too much of a free pass let's look into that', only i'm openly doing it while you're doing it while trying to look like you're not doing it. did you forget that you did this? it's as if you're sreading me for something you also did because you're maf and forgot that you did this - i think a town you remembers what you do itg. barely mentioned shub because i didn't really have a read on them, was kind of set on getting former out because T v S logic dictated that there'd be a 100% chance we voted out maf on D1 or D2. i voiced the 'already lost if tommy and former is tvt' because was under the impression, prob selfishly, we'd vote off dusk D2 if former was town, and if dusk also turned out to be town then yeah we would've lost. ironically i told myself i wasn't gonna be swayed by dusk re: i thought his gameplan would be to guilttrip everyone into not voting for him but now i'm so goddamn uncertain of everything
Vote: Eagle4
This is basically where D2 lands me. Eagle starts the day asking a bunch of people to vote Tommy (but gets almost no interest) and then eventually shifts to BGB who they didn't really seem to be interested at the end of phase yesterday. Same with their read on shub. It feels like their reads are kinda convenient with how they keep changing (especially the shub read on D1) and while I get that changing your mind happens it's like, it seems to happen with too much frequency and too neatly with a possible scumteam they've been thinking of. I feel like if they were changing their mind so much they would be lost on teams and less focused on one of X/Y being scum which is an easy way to line up a later lynch.
again, if only you could see how frequently my mind changes - once the game's over i can send screenshots of my PM chat with nuxl if you'd like, i've got about 10 different scumteams swimming around up there
i think i voiced this but w/ bgb it's so frustrating because i townread him based on vibes but then he does scummy stuff like aforementioned duskfall scumteam suggestion once it's raised that he could be in a possible scumteam with duskfall. to give my full view on bgb: tread him for most of D1, thought he was very iffy towards EoD but didn't really want to bring that up (or shubaka) because i didn't want dusk vs former to continue onto day 2 so i wanted former gone, then read through his posts during the night and tread him based on vibes, but then picked up that EoD switch to duskfall, then bgb posted in the thread D2 with a three-pronged attack and that fucked me all up again because i couldn't fathom a maf posting something like that -- i#ve acknowledged that i think i may be inclined to townread him automatically based on his playstyle but yeah i had no idea what to think. had a lot of scumteams thought up at that point so i wanted to see bgb flip because i thought he'd give most info when flipped, hence me voting for them.
i'm changing my mind a lot because i'm scumreading/townreading *based* on possible teams, so you've got it the wrong way round. like i think 'if this person is scum then this person looks scummy' etc. agreed that it's an easy way to line up a later vote if i'm maf. but i'm not.
